North Platte, Neb. – Nov. 12, 2025 — Brandon Jones has officially announced his candidacy for the North Platte City Council, representing Ward 2. Jones is running on a platform focused on economic development, responsible growth, and transparent leadership, aiming to be a strong voice for the residents of Ward 2 and the city as a whole.
“I’m running for City Council because I believe in the future of North Platte,” Jones said. “Our city is full of potential, and I want to help ensure that every decision we make reflects the values and needs of the people who call North Platte home.”
Jones brings more than 20 years of business leadership and eight years of experience in economic development, giving him a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing North Platte. His priorities include strengthening local infrastructure, supporting small businesses, maintaining public safety, and ensuring community engagement in city decision-making.
“As our community continues to grow and evolve, it’s vital that we maintain a focus on smart development, fiscal responsibility, and creating opportunities for all residents,” Jones added. “I’m ready to listen, to lead, and to work hard for the people of Ward 2.”
