Albert Jimenez, age 70, of Ogallala, Nebraska passed away at his home on June 13, 2021.
He was born on March 17, 1951 to Augustine Jimenez and Dorothy (Banks) Jimenez. He attended Perkins County Schools and Grant High School.
In 1968 he went to work for Union 76 in Ogallala. He worked for the sugar beet dump and other various jobs. In 1981 he started his own scrap metal business. Albert enjoyed going camping, fishing, and any time the family got together.
Albert is survived by special friend, Jo Ann Cerny, of Ogallala, NE; 4 sons: Albert Jr. of California, Tim of Iowa, Jason of Colorado and Christopher of Ogallala, Nebraska; 1 daughter, Melisa Sue(Kris) Hyde of Ashby, Nebraska; sisters: Julie (Richard) Newman of Colorado, Laura (Ray) Bryant of South Dakota, and June Westby of Ogallala, Nebraska; and 2 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Rosella Hill; and sister Pearleen Copley .
Visitation will be Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Mountain time) at the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel, in Ogallala, Nebraska
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021, 2:00 p.m. (Mountain time) at the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel, in Ogallala, Nebraska, with Rev. Eric Waite of New Hope Church, officiating.
Internment will take place in the Ogallala Cemetery .
