Marilyn Ann Kluthe, age 70, of North Platte, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 28, 2023 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha. She was born on May 23, 1953 in West Point, NE to Ralph and Elsie (Specht) Bayer.

Marilyn graduated from Howells High School in 1971.  On May 25, 1974, she married Michael Kluthe, whom she had known since she was 6, in Howells.  The couple lived in Norfolk for a time before moving to North Platte, where they have resided since.

Marilyn will be remembered as doing everything in excellence.  She was a prayer warrior, praying for everyone around her.  She was devoted to her Bible and spread her faith to anybody she could.  She loved everyone, regardless of who you were.  She was a mother figure to many kids who came through the home, many calling her “mom and grandma”.  The center of her life would always be her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Michael of North Platte; 2 daughters, Brenda Kluthe of North Platte, and Miranda (Justin) Hubbell of Kearney; grandchildren, Xaivria and Xariah Lemmer, and Roic, Titus, and Olive Hubbell; 2 sisters, Donna (Sam) Christensen of Kearney, and Connie (Brian) Bean of Joplin, Missouri; Carol Bayer (sister-in-law) of Howells; brother and sister in laws, Cindy (Bill) Kroll of Hebron, Patty (Mike) Recker of Oceola, NE, Doug Kluthe of Lincoln, Chris Kluthe of Springfield, MO, and Karen (Derrick) Hill of Lincoln; Michael Jundt of Norfolk. and numerous other family members and many friends.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers Dan and Bob Bayer; In-laws, Francis and Shirley Kluthe; brother-in-law, Jeff Kluthe; sister-in-law, Janet Jundt; 2 special aunts, Pearl Vasina and Margaret Long; and a great nephew, Ehan Jelinek.  Online condolences and live stream of the funeral can be found at carpentermemorial.com.  Memorials are suggested in her name.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 5, 2023 at Bethel E-Free Church with Pastor Geoff Safford officiating.  Burial will be at a later date.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday August 4, 2023 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is entrusted with the arrangements
