Sandra D. Stumpf, aged 90, of North Platte, passed away on January 26, 2024, at Great Plains Health. She was born to George and Irene (George) Soderquist on October 31, 1933 in Chappell, NE.
As a child, Sandra’s family moved to Washington, where she spent the majority of her younger years, and attended Richland High School, graduating in 1951. Sandra worked for the University of Washington for 20 years as a journeyman painter. In 1987, Sandra was reunited with her high school sweetheart, Donald Stumpf. They shared almost 40 wonderful years together. The couple moved back to North Platte in the early 2000’s. Sandra had a knack for anything crafty and was an amazing cook. She loved spending quality time with family and friends, giving each and every one of them amazing memories to cherish forever. She loved flowers and all things pretty. Sandra also enjoyed reading books and most importantly, chocolate milkshakes. She was the kindest woman with a gentle heart who touched so many lives, and will be missed dearly.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Don; sons, Dan, David, and Dale; sisters, Sharon Smith, JoAnn Wheeler, Penny Rugg; great granddaughter, Amanda.
Survivors include grandchildren, Shannon (Terry), Rachelle, Nikki, Danny, and Nathan; great grandchildren, Teron, Lois, Randy, Monique, Tazsanay, Jordan, Isaiah, Elijah, Katie, Kaden, Camren, Julian, and JayLee; great-great grandchildren, Mikey, AnnaLee, Dylann, and Jrae; many nieces, nephews, and several wonderful cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 11:30 AM with the location to be announced. Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
