Rosemary Christina (Legas) Schrotberger, 70, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away April 7, 2024 at her home in North Platte. She was born, December 22, 1953 in North Platte to Nicholas William and Esther Marie (Carland) Legas.
Rosemary lived with her Grandma Carland. She starting working at the age of 15 at a local café. Then lived on her own from the age of 16. Rosemary met the love of her life, Rich at the age of 18. They were married December 22, 1973 on Rose’s 20th birthday. The couple welcomed their first child Relissa, on August 9, 1987, three years later they welcomed their second daughter, Rachel, on August 22, 1990. Rose also cared for over 200 foster children from 1974-1985. Relissa blessed Rose with two granddaughters: Hope, born November 16, 2007 and Bella, born May 4, 2010. Rose loved her family and spending time with them. She worked for North Platte Public School for several years. Rose finally found her perfect job as housekeeping supervisor at Husker Inn in 1992 and finished at Royal Colonial where she retired in 2008. Rose was in a band with the Schrotberger family as she had a passion for singing and a love for music. She was a NE Husker and Chief’s football fan.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Relissa (Calvin) Ramirez, North Platte, Nebraska, Rachel Schrotberger Schultz, North Platte, Nebraska; granddaughters, Hope Goodner, Isabella Goodner; brothers, Geroge Legas, Chris (Bobbie) Legas of North Platte; sister, Clara Legas, Fullerton, Nebraska; special family, Natosha Jones, Whitney Edwards, Travis Coe, Ashley Dike all of North Platte.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Esther Legas; the love her life, Richard Schrotberger; brothers, Nick, Donald, Jerry, Jimmy; special aunt, Clara Negley; along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Crippled Children's Fund.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Ned Cooper officiating. Book signing will be 9-5, Monday, April 15, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
