Stolen Vehicle Leads to 2 Arrests Near Newberry Access Road

On 09-04-25, at 11:23 A.M., automatic license plate readers indicated a stolen plate from South Dakota was located on a vehicle being operated near the I-80, MM 179 exit on the Newberry Access road. Officers responded and observed the stolen license plate on a 2015 Jeep Laredo. Contact was made with Isiah Leblanc, age 25, and Ashya Red Bear, age 45. A check on the vehicle identification number showed that the 2015 Jeep Laredo was stolen from Sioux Falls, South Dakota on 08-01-25. Isiah Leblanc and Ashya Red Bear were arrested for Possession of Stolen Property - a Class IIA Felony, and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property - a Class II Misdemeanor. Isiah Leblanc also had a warrant for his arrest from South Dakota for a Parole Violation. Leblanc and Red Bear were incarcerated at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
