Dick Witt was born to Walt and Grace (Taye) Witt on April 12, 1940 in Ainsworth, Nebraska. He attended Ainsworth School. Dick worked at Ford Motors in Ainsworth detailing cars.
He later made his home in Valentine, Nebraska to be closer to family. As time went on, he went to Oakwood Assisted Living on April 11, 2011. That is where he resided until his death on September 19, 2020 at the age of 80.
Dick's hobby was collecting trucks. His greatest joy was being with Craig touring the city and visiting family. He loved his nieces and nephews and was very fond of dogs.
He leaves to morn his brother, Bob, and sister-in-law, Elsie Witt and his sister Judy Mayhew; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Grace Witt; sisters Jackie Fowler and Shirley Witt; and brothers Walter and Kenny Witt.
Dick will be missed by everyone.
A memorial graveside service was held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Ainsworth South Cemetery. Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine, Nebraska was entrusted with the service arrangements.
