Sept. 22, 2023 (North Platte, Neb.) — Weather permitting, Southbound Jeffers Street traffic will be shifted from the right lane to the left lane, and Leota Street will be closed west of Jeffers Street beginning Monday Sept. 25, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.&nbsp;

The west leg of the Jeffers and Leota Street intersection will be closed for both eastbound and westbound traffic. Leota Street will be open between Dewey and Jeffers. Motorists are advised to utilize alternate routes during the closure. The intersection closure is expected to be in place for approximately two (2) weeks.&nbsp;

Paulsen, Inc. of Cozad is the contractor for this project. The intersection closure is for construction of new concrete pavement at the Leota Street intersection. The traffic shift is to allow for phase 2 of the project to commence.&nbsp;
