
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners and the Lincoln County Board of Equalization will hold their regular meetings Monday, Sept. 29, beginning at 9 a.m. in the commissioners room of the Lincoln County Courthouse.
The commissioners will open with prayer and consider claims and treasurer’s receipts before recessing as the Board of Equalization at 9:15 a.m. That session will include approval of minutes from the Sept. 22 meeting, certificates of correction and refund submitted by the county assessor, and motor vehicle tax exemption applications.
At 9:30 a.m., the board will hear a presentation from Erin Arensdorf of the West Central Area Agency on Aging. At 9:50 a.m., commissioners are scheduled to discuss a potential letter of support or resolution encouraging the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Academic Planning Committee to continue supporting the Community and Regional Planning program.
Other items on the agenda include:
- 10 a.m. discussion on the Nebraska Department of Transportation’s County Bridge Match Program.
- 10:10 a.m. employee recognition for Brian Winslow (5 years), Tim Kirk (15 years), and Becky Rossell (35 years).
- A closed session may be held if necessary to discuss pending litigation, real estate purchases, security matters, or job performance.
The board will also hear updates from elected officials and department heads, receive committee reports, and conduct the quarterly inspection of the Lincoln County Detention Center.
