Dorothy A. Glenn, 94, of Lincoln (formerly of Lexington), passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024, surrounded by family.

Dorothy Hatch was born on a farm near Cozad, Nebraska to B. L. (Benny Lee) and Mabel (Griffith) Hatch. She was raised and attended schools in the Lexington area. She was married to Joseph Glenn in 1951 in Smithfield. They were blessed with six daughters and four sons, raising them in Lexington, Fremont, and Shelton. Dorothy lived in Lexington until 2023, when she moved to Lincoln to be closer to family. 

Dorothy was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington. She enjoyed volunteering at the Lexington Regional Hospital Gift Shop. She loved to attend country dances, challenge herself with trivia and puzzle books, crochet, craft and maintain family connections. Dorothy was a wonderful mother, always there when she was needed, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance. A friend to many, she left behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

Dorothy is survived by her sister Carol Dreier, of Sioux Falls, SD, brother Virgil Hatch, of Alliance, her children, daughter Jolene (David) Cozad, of Arlington, TX, son Eugene Glenn, of Kapaa, Hawaii, daughter Peggy Lawhead, of Davey, daughter Virginia (Mark) Hamilton, of Weeping Water, son David (Jan) Glenn, of Omaha, son Dale (Julie) Glenn, of Springfield, daughter Cathy Glenn (Steve Ems) of Lincoln, daughter Diane Glenn, of Ansley, daughter Carol (Al) Kruger, of Hastings, and son Steve (Lori) Glenn, of Shelton. She leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

 Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wilford and Verl, and husband Joe.

 A service will be held Thursday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, with Pastor Nathan Rhea officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Highland Cemetery in Bertrand.
