It was a clean sweep.
The North Platte Community College Knights Volleyball Team took on Central Community College in Columbus Tuesday evening and downed the Raiders in three sets. The scores were 26-24, 25-14 and 25-23.
“I thought we struggled a bit tonight to control the pace of the game,” said NPCC head volleyball coach Alexa McCall. “When we are in system and our offense is quick and powerful, we are hard to stop. I saw glimpses of that but would like to be more consistent. I’m happy that we finished in three – especially against a region team.”
Alysen Daniels, of Mullen, led the game with 11 kills. Peyton Negley, of North Platte, had nine kills while Taylor Hansen, of Yuma, Colo., notched eight kills and four serving aces.
Madi Neely, of Broken Bow, put up four blocks. Erica Hopping, of Sutherland, had 31 assists, and Ruby Valle, of Weldona, Colo., recorded 20 digs.
The Knights are now 9-9 on the season.
They will stay on the road and face Southeast Community College Wednesday at 6 p.m.
