After a few mild days in a row, the return of wintry weather is expected by late Wednesday night, the National Weather Service in North Platte said.
There is a 20 percent chance of snow after midnight Wednesday, increasing to 30 percent throughout the day Thursday.
The high temperature Thursday is only expected to reach 34 degrees, rebounding to the 40s by Friday.
