FUR Animal Rescue is excited to announce the return of its popular community fundraiser, the 9th Annual Get Egged FUR Paws event. The fundraiser offers families in North Platte a fun way to celebrate Easter while supporting local animal rescue efforts.
Residents in North Platte, including Hillcrest and Lake Maloney, can sign up to have their yard “egged” with candy and goody-filled plastic eggs the night before Easter. Volunteers with FUR Animal Rescue will deliver and hide the eggs on Saturday, April 4 beginning at 7:00 p.m., creating a ready-to-go Easter egg hunt for children the following morning.
Participants can choose to have eggs hidden around their front yard or delivered in a basket at the front door. Each order includes plastic eggs filled with candy such as Skittles and Snickers along with small goodies like stickers and trinkets.
The cost is $20 per dozen eggs, with all proceeds benefiting FUR Animal Rescue and its mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in the community. Additional donations are always appreciated to help support the organization’s work.
Residents wishing to participate must complete the registration form online. A separate form must be submitted for each address requesting egg delivery.
