Dennis “Denny” Brunkhorst, age 71, of Palisade, Nebraska passed away on January 14th, 2021 at his home in Palisade. He was born to Ivan and Lorene (Duhm) Brunkhorst on July 11th, 1949. He loved country life and he never met a stranger. Denny loved watching sports, especially the Huskers and Denver Bronco's football.
Denny was a loving son, husband, father, and grandpa; he loved his grandkids.
2 Timothy 4:7 – “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Lorene Brunkhorst and his wife, Cindy (Cole) Brunkhorst.
He is survived by daughters, Raelyn Brunkhorst of Wauneta, Nebraska; Kari and husband, Brian Sprenger of Sidney, Nebraska and their two daughters, Peyton, and Taylor; sister, Dianne Rowe and husband, Robert, of Colorado and family; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
The family honored Denny’s wish that cremation be chosen, and burial will follow at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Palisade Ambulance Crew in Dennis’ name. Online condolences may be left at herrmannfh.com. Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook, Nebraska is entrusted with arrangements.
