
Laurel L. Perkins, 54, of North Platte, NE passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Great Plains Health Hospital in North Platte. She was born May 8, 1967 to Morris O. Turner and Suzanne G. (Kaczmarek) Turner in North Platte. She was the wife of 30 years to David G. Perkins.
Laurel graduated from Bellview Christian High School in Omaha and attended sign language instruction at Iowa Western College. She was a teacher’s aide for many years and worked as a volunteer with Hospice and Meals-on-Wheels. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by a sister, Alison L. Lower in 2014.
She is survived by her parents, Morris and Suzanne; husband, David; children, Kayla Turner Perkins of TX and Jon Glenn Perkins of Kearney; granddaughter, Leora; brother, Christopher A. Turner of North Platte; and sister, Heather E. Turner of North Platte.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Private burial will follow in McCain Cemetery near Stapleton. There will be no visitation.
