On 11-03-25 at around 7:34 P.M. North Platte Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of 12th and Jeffers on the report of an injury accident.
Investigation at the scene indicated that vehicle #1, a white, 2019, Freightliner, box truck driven by Curt Cook age 70 of North Platte was Southbound on Jeffers. Vehicle #2, a motorized bicycle operated by Jason Miller age 55 of North Platte, was Northbound on Jeffers in the Easternmost Lane. As vehicle #1 attempted to negotiate a left turn onto 12th Street, the front of Vehicle #1 struck Vehicle #2.
Jason Miller was transported by North Platte Fire Department EMS to Great Plains Health, where he was pronounced dead at 8:30 P.M.
