
Robert Dean Griffis, 72, of North Platte, passed away May 17, 2022 at Great Plains Health. He was born on July 27, 1949 to LaVern and Lillian (Jackson) Griffis in North Platte.
Robert grew up and attended school in Colorado. He worked at Rockmont as a printer, drove a truck for Domer Trucking out of Commerce City, CO and drove for FFE Frozen Foods out of Arvada, CO. In the early 2000’s, Robert became disabled after wrecking his semi and he moved to North Platte to be near his father and brother.
Robert loved fishing and would meet his brother Kenny at Flaming Gorge in Utah on fishing trips. He had a passion for classic cars and a 1967 Ford Fairlane was his dream car. Robert was stubborn but also easy going, he liked everyone but could hold a grudge due to his stubbornness. He had a great heart and cared for a lot of people.
Survivors include his children, Chad Griffis of North Glenn, CO and Robbie Griffis of Arvada, CO; brothers, Ronald (Debra) Griffis of Tippen, IA, and Kenny Griffis of West Point, UT; grandchildren, Wade Griffis, Maddie Griffis and Robynn Griffis; four nephews; numerous other family members and many friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, LaVern and Lillian; brother, LaVern Edward Griffis.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 23, 2022 at North Platte Cemetery with Pastor Anne Durboraw officiating. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
