Fremont police investigate attempted abduction of teen girl

FREMONT, Neb.-Fremont police are investigating the attempted abduction of a girl, 15, last week.

According to police, on Friday, the girl reported to police that on Thursday evening at around 5:00 p.m., she had been walking in the 600 block of North Main. St. when a man who was unknown to the girl approached her and attempted to talk to her.

The girl told police she ignored the man, who then grabbed her by the left wrist, then attempted to grab her neck with his other hand.

The girl said she was able to kick the man in the stomach and free herself, before running into a nearby business.

Police said the man then left the area. 

Police described the man as white, approximately six feet tall with sleeve tattoos on his arms and a tattoo on his neck. He was possibly wearing a gray t-shirt at the time of the incident.

Police said no other descriptive details were provided by the girl.
