North Platte, Neb. - The 29th FNBO Chili Cook-Off to kick off the 2024-2025 Mid-Plains United Way campaign year was a huge success raising nearly $5000. The weather was perfect, and guests got to enjoy around 20 different booths of chili. Attendees voted for the best booth, best chili and voted for who got pied in the face.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Tonight, the Mid-Plains United Way is hosting a fundraiser event at Raisin Canes in North Platte from 5:00pm-9:00pm. When ordering, make sure to let Canes know you are there for the Mid-Plains United Way fundraiser and 15% of sales will go towards the united way.&nbsp;
