News Release Omaha Police
At approximately 4:02 pm, near the area of 11th and Locust Streets, an Omaha Police officer, and Washington County deputy, members of the Metro Fugitive Task Force Unit, were accompanied by another Washington County Deputy as they attempted to make contact with a wanted female suspect who had felony warrants.
The female, who was a passenger in a white truck with a male driver, fled the area in the truck.
During the encounter, a firearm was discharged by law enforcement.
The suspects continued to flee in the vehicle past the deputies and officer. The vehicle became disabled near 12th and Cuming Streets and both suspects fled on foot.
After a short foot pursuit, the female was arrested and the male was apprehended later not far from the area.
No one was injured during the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
