
BUCHANAN COUNTY, Mo.—A teen was injured in an accident just before 2a.m. Friday in Buchanan County, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Jeep Wrangler driven by Mason J. Norwood, 18, Bellevue, Nebraska, was northbound on Interstate 29 four miles south of St. Joseph fleeing from law enforcement.
The jeep traveled off the west side of the road, struck the crossover, went airborne, struck the median, rolled and the driver was ejected. Buchanan County EMS transported Norwood to Mosaic Life Care. He was also not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. Authorities have not released details on what prompted the law enforcement pursuit.
