LINCOLN — A virtual “listening session” is to be held Friday, Nov. 8, on housing programs administered by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.

The 10:30 a.m. session, hosted by the DED, is to capture feedback, insight and ideas pertaining to the agency’s housing programs.

“This is an opportunity to share your housing development perspective and experience to help identify ways in which programs and processes can better address the growing need for affordable housing in Nebraska,” according to a flier by the DED.

Registration is required by 5 p.m. Wednesday to participate, it said.

DED spokeswoman Kate Ellingson said a variety of programs could be discussed during the session and it is not limited to any particular ones.

Other in-person listening sessions were held Oct. 22 (in North Platte and Kearney) and Oct. 23 (in Lincoln and Omaha).
