IMPERIAL, Neb. — Nebraska Extension and Nebraska Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) will host BQA and BQA Transportation (BQAT) certification sessions in late May for producers needing certification or recertification.
Many commercial beef packing facilities require BQA certification for fed cattle sellers and BQAT certification for those delivering cattle. Two southwest Nebraska sessions are scheduled:
- Imperial – Tuesday, May 27 at 4 p.m. (MST) at Lied Imperial Public Library, 703 Broadway Street
- North Platte – Wednesday, May 28 at 4 p.m. (CST) at the West Central Research and Extension Center, 402 W State Farm Road
Certification is valid for three years. Fees are $20 per person or $100 for operations bringing five or more participants.
