Central District Health Department reports a total of 56 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Central District as of 5:00 p.m. on April 5, 2020.
This marks a significant increase in cases in the past 48 hours and does not include the number of cases being diagnosed by health care providers without COVID testing based on symptoms alone. This total also does not reflect cases of COVID-19 in individuals whose symptoms may be mild enough that they do not seek healthcare.
Additional testing resources will be available by the end of the week. CDHD stresses the importance of staying home.
This information will be translated into Spanish and will be posted when it becomes available.
