&nbsp;The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD) was dispatched to a structure fire at 90 Central Avenue, Kearney. Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke exiting the structure. Crews pulled hose lines and applied water to the fire. Crews quickly contained the fire and conducted a search of the residence. Upon completion of the primary search, no occupants were found inside. 

The home sustained extensive fire damage in two rooms and heavy smoke damage throughout the rest of the structure. KVFD was assisted by Good Samaritan EMS and the Kearney Police Department.&nbsp; The Nebraska State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the origin of the fire. The cause is still under investigation, but the fire is believed to be accidental in nature.
