ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon for an alleged parole violation.
The Kansas Department of Corrections reported 47-year-old Richard J. Renne of Atchison as an absconder. Renne had been out of prison since July after previous convictions that involve heroin possession/distribution and two convictions for child abuse and torture, according to the KDOC.
On Monday, Atchison Police located and arrested Renne on a Kansas Department of Corrections detain order for the parole violation. He remains in custody, according to online jail records.
