Grand Island man arrested after entering home, stealing Himalayan pink salt

GRAND ISLAND, Neb.-A Grand Island man is facing burglary allegations after he allegedly entered a home and stole salt.

Grand Island police said at around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, a resident in the 800 block of E. 12th St. contacted police to report a burglary.

The woman reported that a man had entered her home uninvited and made his way to the dining room.

Police said the woman went to see what was going on when the man, identified as Curtis Wright, grabbed a half-empty container of Himalayan Pink Salt and left the house.

Police said when officers arrived they found Wright still outside of the residence.

Police said officers recovered the stolen salt nearby and placed Wright under arrest on suspicion of burglary.

Wright was jailed at the Hall County jail.
