Kearney, Neb. -&nbsp;The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatality accident involving a single vehicle – bicycle crash. &nbsp;

The bicyclist, a 48 year old Kearney man, has died as a result of the crash.&nbsp; The car was driven by a 39 year old Kearney man.&nbsp; The crash occurred at approximately 5:20 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024.&nbsp;

According to preliminary investigation, a bicyclist and a car were traveling eastbound on East 56th&nbsp;Street, just east of Antelope Avenue about a mile outside the city limits of Kearney, NE.&nbsp; The car collided with the rear of the bicycle.&nbsp;

Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of the Kearney Police Department, Kearney / Buffalo County Fatality Accident Investigation (FAIT) team, Kearney Volunteer Fire Department, CHI GSH Paramedics, Buffalo County Highway Department and the Buffalo County Attorney’s Office.
