The North Platte City Council met Tuesday evening. In the consent agenda portion of the meeting, there was discussion about the sale of property in the industrial park south of Interstate 80, mainly lot splitting.

The developer of one of the lots at the industrial park used quality growth fund money from the city to build several of the new buildings on that property. The question for the council to approve is that multiple buildings sit on one lot, and how might the city sell one or more of those buildings sitting on one lot. Subdividing lots hadn't originally been in the plans at the industrial park.

Councilman Ed Reiker commented during the meeting that the council hadn't planned for that, and in the future they needed to include this option. The North Platte City Attorney will handle the subdividing of this property.

North Platte Mayor Brandon Kelliher joined Derek Beck on FM 98.1/AM 1410 during Good Morning North Platte to talk about the sale of that property, along with other agenda items at Tuesday night's meeting. Listen below.
