LINCOLN, Neb.-Police in Lincoln said they have arrested a man in connection to the sexual assault of a young girl.
Police said at around 10:00 a.m. on July 24, officers responded to the report of a child missing in the 1st St. and Cornhusker Highway area. Officers immediately began an intensive search for the girl.
Police said a couple of hours later, the girl was returned to her home by Mensah Gozo, 59, of Lincoln.
Officers investigated further, and police said they learned Gozo had driven the girl to his home, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Later that day, Gozo was arrested on suspicion of 1st-degree sexual assault of a child and child enticement.
Police said officers are working to determine if Gozo had previously met the girl online and if there are any other victims. Police said they do not have any evidence to suggest that there are more victims at this time.
