The Perkins County Fair has officially announced its 2026 concert lineup, featuring a festival-style evening with five artists performing throughout the afternoon and night.

Perkins County Fair Board President Kasey Kroeker shared the details of the event, which will take place Saturday, July 18, during the fair’s final day.

Kroeker said the fair board decided to shift its concert format this year, moving from two nights of music to a single evening with a stronger lineup.

“We decided we want to go down to one night and have a really quality night on Saturday evening,” Kroeker said. “Back and forth of making offers to artists, we landed on what we think is going to be a very interesting and extremely fun afternoon and night for the Perkins County Fair in the area.”

Rather than the traditional opener and headliner format, the event will feature multiple performances beginning in the late afternoon. Music is expected to start around 4:30 p.m. and continue through the evening.

The lineup will begin with local performer Tim Zock, who helped kick off the fair’s concert series several years ago.

“He actually in the very beginning helped our very first concert kick off five, six years ago,” Kroeker said.

Following Zock, the lineup will continue with country duo Neon Union, followed by Lakeview. Rising country artist Baker Blankenship will perform later in the evening before headliner George Birge closes out the night.

“A lot of people go, man, I haven’t heard of him,” Kroeker said of Birge. “Well, if you’ve been on Sirius XM or the radio stations, they’re starting to play a lot of him.”

Kroeker said the variety of artists should create an afternoon and evening of diverse music for fairgoers.

“I think this is going to give people just an afternoon and evening of a diverse group of bands and a diverse genre of music,” he said.

The Perkins County Fair runs July 12 through July 18 in Grant, with the concert scheduled for the fair’s final night.

Tickets will be available through the fair’s website at perkinscountyfair.com, as well as through the Perkins County Fair Facebook page. Kroeker said ticket prices are expected to start around $40 to $45.

The concert area will also feature food vendors and a beer garden throughout the event.

Kroeker emphasized the role of sponsors and volunteers in making the event possible.

“Our sponsors never get enough recognition,” he said. “None of this would even be possible without our sponsors. There’s a lot of hours that get put into doing this. It’s all volunteer work.”

Fair officials expect the multi-artist format to draw a strong crowd for the final night of the fair.
