OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — An Omaha man accused of fatally shooting a woman in May is now charged with manslaughter.
Authorities on Tuesday announced the upgraded charge against 22-year-old Devon Engel. He was originally charged with first-degree domestic violence assault and two counts of child abuse.
The child abuse counts remain. Shaleigh Sovey was shot on May 16 and died two days later at a hospital. She was 22.
