SEWARD COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fire and have made an arrest.
Just before 1a.m. Sunday, police and firefighters responded to report of a fire at National Beef, 1501 East 8th Street in Liberal, according to a media release.
Fire crews were able to quickly control the fire. After a review of surveillance video, investigators observed an 18-year-old man in the area prior to the 911 call. Investigators determined he intentionally started the fire.
Officers located and arrested the teen and booked him into the Seward County Jail on a requested charge of aggravated arson, according to the release. Police released no additional details.
