North Platte, Neb. - The North Platte Pow Wow is getting ready to kick off their fifth year beginning with an event at Pal's Brewing on Thursday with the official ceremony scheduled for Friday and lasting until Sunday. The event brings folks from all over the U.S. to learn Native American culture. This year's Pow Wow is honoring veterans.  

The North Platte Pow Wow is July 19th-July 21st at the Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park Museum. Admission is $7 a day or weekend pass is $15. It is advised to bring your own lawn chair to the event and to camp on-site, a NE Game and Parks Permit is required.
