MORRIS COUNTY—Two people died in an accident just after 12:30a.m. Wednesday in Morris County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling northeast on Dam Road one mile north of Council Grove.
The driver failed to negotiate the curb where the road curves to the left. The motorcycle struck a guard rail. The driver and passenger were ejected. Max Hamilton Byram, 28 and Jordan Patricia Leeann Kelly, 20, both of Council Grove were pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Swayer Funeral Home.
They were not wearing helmets, according to the KHP. The agency was not sure who was driving the motorcycle.
