SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal motorcycle crash have identified the victim as 29-year-old Kyle Eaton of Wichita.

Just after 9p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to an injury accident at Pawnee and Mosley, according to officer Trevor Macey. When they arrived, they located a three-vehicle accident with an injured victim later identified Eaton.

Despite life-saving efforts by witnesses and EMS crews, he died at the scene.

The investigation revealed that Eaton was stopped on Eastbound Pawnee on a motorcycle, waiting to turn left onto Mosley when he was struck from behind by another vehicle.

This impact pushed Eaton's motorcycle into Westbound Pawnee, and a westbound vehicle struck him.

Inattentive driving is suspected to be the cause. This is the first motorcycle traffic fatality of the year and the 15th overall traffic fatality.
