MERRICK COUNTY-A Chapman man has died following a crash in Merrick County.
The Merrick County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the report of a two-vehicle crash on US Highway 30, between 25th and 26th roads, in a rural part of the county.
Authorities said a 1998 Dodge Ram, driven by Shane Samuelson, 53, of Chapman, was traveling eastbound and crossed the center line and collided with a westbound 2011 Jeep Laredo.
Officials said Samuelson was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep was transported to Merrick County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Seatbelts were not in use, according to authorities.
