North Platte, Neb. - When most folks here 4-H, they instantly think it's animal showing, which there is plenty of that or animals in general. While there may be a ton of animal related events, 4'H has something for everyone to enjoy. Some kids may be interested in 4-H but can attend events like the Animal Science Discover Day.
Briawana Hinrichs, a local 4-Hr is entering her second year doing 4-H and has plenty of activities to look forward to this summer to participate in. Hinrichs shares her experience attending the 4-H Animal Science Discovery Day, where she learned about the anatomy of cows and different cuts of meat. While she may have just started doing 4-H last year, she states learning and making friends his her favorite thing about 4-H
"It is super fun. You get to make new friends and get to learn new things." said Hinrichs.
