North Platte, Ne - The Eleventh annual Guardians of the Children (Flatrock Chapter) toy drive is under way in North Platte. GOC's "Tuna" spoke with Eagle Media about this years drive. He said when he moved back to North Platte years ago, the Guardians had delivered gifts to his children at the time; he made a commitment at the time to get involved with the GOC and years later he's helping promote this annual event that is looking for donations, now through December 7.
The Guardians gift these toys to family's of children the GOC is helping, any gifts left over are shared with Santa Cop, the Salvation Army and Bridge of Hope. (LISTEN TO FULL COVERSATION with TUNA & Derek Beck, sponsored by North Platte Kubota)
They have over 30 drop off boxes at some of our generous local businesses listed on the flyer. If you want to help make a child smile this Christmas, drop a new, unwrapped toy in one of the drop off boxes at the locations listed on the flyer.
