NORTH PLATTE, Neb - Three distinct voices in stand-up comedy will bring laughs and rural flair to North Platte this week, as Iowa-based comedian Tyler Walsh headlines a special comedy night featuring Jill Carlson and the Sandhills' Billie J on Wednesday night at Axes N Aces at Lake Maloney and a show Thursday night at Another Round, both in North Platte.
Walsh talks with Derek Beck

Walsh, a rising star known for blending his rural Midwestern roots with universal punchlines, has performed alongside national acts like Noel Miller and built a strong following across platforms like TikTok and the Todd and Tyler Radio Empire. His style—equal parts small-town charm and sharp observational humor—resonated with the Nebraska crowd.
Opening the show is Jill Carlson, a seasoned comedy producer and performer with two decades of industry experience and credits across cities like Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Denver. She recently recorded her own special, Jill Carlson: UNHINGED, in front of a sold-out audience.
Also performing is Billie J, known for her “Ranch Lady Comedy” style—what she calls “ranchy, not raunchy.” Billie’s storytelling and off-the-cuff delivery kept the crowd on edge, wondering what outrageous tale would come next.
The night offers a blend of high-energy entertainment and relatable humor, showcasing the growing appetite for stand-up comedy in rural Nebraska communities. Organizers say they hope to bring similar talent to the area in the future. GET MORE INFO HERE
