(old post, click here for the latest update) NORTH PLATTE - According to the Nebraska Department of Transportation, I-80 westbound from North Platte to Big Springs is open. I-80 westbound from Kearney to North Platte is closed and I-80 eastbound from Big Springs to Lexington is closed.
HWY 30 remains closed at this time from the Wyoming border to Kearney in both directions. Crews are out and working to get roads clear. Strong winds have caused many snow drifts on major roadways.
NDOT says roadways are extremely icy, use caution if driving and don't crowd the plow as crews continue to reopen all of I-80. click here for the latest road conditions.
