NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to visit North Platte Thursday, Oct. 22, for a midterm election rally at the D&N Event Center, bringing another high-profile political event to Nebraska less than two weeks before Election Day.
Doors are scheduled to open at 8:30 a.m. Central Time, with the event beginning at 10:30 a.m. Vance is scheduled to speak at noon.
The rally is hosted by the Trump 47 Committee and comes as Republicans campaign ahead of the Nov. 3 general election. Vance's visit follows President Donald Trump's rally in Grand Island earlier this month, putting Nebraska in the spotlight as national political figures make appearances in the state ahead of the midterms.
Nebraska voters will decide several federal, state and local races in November. One of the closely watched contests is the U.S. Senate race between Republican incumbent Pete Ricketts and independent candidate Dan Osborn.
