Terrance Jean 'Terry' Tatman, age 86, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away at Centennial Court Retirement Village in North Platte on Friday, December 13, 2019.

Terry was born on September 16, 1933 to Harold Jay, Sr. and Dorothy Mae (Hart) Tatman at Stapleton, Nebraska and grew up on a farm near Pleasanton, Nebraska.&nbsp; He graduated from Pleasanton High School and then farmed and worked for a trailer manufacturing business, building mobile homes in Kearney,&nbsp; Nebraska.&nbsp; After moving to North Platte, Nebraska, Terry worked construction with his family, then partnered with JR Keslar, forming Tatman-Keslar Construction Company.&nbsp; He went on to own Terry's Construction until retiring in the late '90's.

On December 27, 1953, Terry married Marlene Joyce Bedke in Kearney, Nebraska.&nbsp; They had four children and lived in Minden, Kearney and Cozad in&nbsp; Nebraska before settling in North Platte.&nbsp; Terry was a member of First Christian Church and North Platte Home Builders Association.

After retiring, he started doing stained glass projects and worked for Lake Maloney Golf Course.&nbsp; When his kids were young, Terry coached Little League Baseball and when he had grandkids, he taught them how to golf, which he really enjoyed.&nbsp; Terry loved his family and liked spending time with them gardening and golfing.&nbsp; He will be remembered for his knack of giving people a bad time and nicknames.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene of North Platte; his children, Ronald (Glenda) Tatman of Hayden, Idaho, Linda (Lew) Champ of Sterling, Colorado, Steve (Dana) Tatman of Caldwell, Idaho, and Scott (Suzette) Tatman of North Platte; grandchildren, Boni Jackson, Luke Tatman, Craig Tatman, Teri Sue Hoeksema, Josh Wietzel, Shaye Champ Correll, Chelsea Champ Lopez, Tyler Tatman, Mataya Belka, Shayla Paulman, and Chesney Tatman; 16 great-grandchildren and a great great grandson; brother Larry (Joyce) Tatman of North Platte and Fred (Carol) Tatman of Springdale, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Sue Tatman of North Platte and Margaret Bedke of Kearney, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Sam (Cindy) Bedke of North Platte; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold, Sr. and Dorothy; brothers Harold, Jerry and Ronnie Tatman; and a great-grandson, Jacob.

Donald LeRoy Parrish, age 92, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away at his home on Saturday, December 14, 2019.

Don was born on June 5, 1927 at Woodruff, Kansas to Clifford and Beulah Verneta (Stephenson) Parrish and grew up in Norcatur, Kansas.&nbsp; When he was a junior in high school, the family moved to North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; Don graduated from North Platte High School in 1945, then joined the U.S. Army a few months later.

Following his discharge in 1947, Don returned to North Platte where he was united in marriage to Doris Darlene Miller on December 17, 1947 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Don worked for J.C. Penney for several years and at different store locations.&nbsp; In 1961, he went to work for J.M. McDonald's in York, Nebraska.&nbsp; this job took the family to Carlsbad, New Mexico then Riverton, Wyoming.&nbsp; While in Wyoming he became manager of the Riverton Chamber of Commerce.

Doris and Don moved back to North Platte in 1976, then to Ogallala, Nebraska five years later when they bought the Ogallala Nursery.&nbsp; They returned again to North Platte in 1993 and retired.

Don was a proud veteran and member of the American Legion for 72 years.&nbsp; He was also a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and while in Riverton, Wyoming he was active with Kiwanis and the Sheriff's Association.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Doris, of North Platte; their children, Lynn Parrish of Overland Park, Kansas, Cindy (Clay) Trover of Albany, Georgia, and Dorene (Scott) McIntyre of Cheyenne, Wyoming; nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; as well as other family.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Beulah; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Parrish.

Linda was born on September 27, 1953 in North Platte, the daughter of Loran D. and Betty E. (Swanson) Remus.&nbsp; She attended grade school at Echo School, then North Platte High School, graduating in 1971.&nbsp; After that, she started her lifelong career at Huebner's Supply, where she will be deeply missed.

On November 25, 1972, she married Keith L. Williams of North Platte.

Linda is survived by her husband, Keith of North Platte; daughter, Rebecca (Kenneth) Merklin of Gretna, Nebraska; grandson, Dillon Frosh of North Platte; step-granddaughter, Taylor Merklin of Lincoln, Nebraska; her mother, Betty Remus of Farnam, Nebraska; sisters, Patricia (Timothy) Baker of Curtis, Nebraska, Pamela (Robert) Clark of Rowlett, Texas, and Janet Remus of Spicer, Minnesota; her niece, Melisa (Thomas) Campbell and children of Curtis, Nebraska; nephews, Timothy W. and children, and Joseph and children all of Maywood, Nebraska; and many other family members; her cats; many friends and co-workers; and her adopted children and grandchildren.

Ronald Dean Mahnken, age 75, of North Platte, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, December 9, 2019.

Ron was born October 11, 1944, to Carl Frederik John and Dorothy Eva (Engel) Mahnken at Grant, Nebraska where he grew up.&nbsp; Ron graduated from Perkins County High School in 1962, then went on to graduate from drafting school in Denver, Colorado

On August 26, 1967, Ron was united in marriage to Carol June Johnson in North Platte, where they made their home.

Ron worked at Sears and Penny's Auto Centers before going to work for Sears and Penney's Auto Centers before going to work for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company.&nbsp; He retired in 2012 from the phone company, which was now Century Link.

Ron liked cars and racing and was a man of strong faith.&nbsp; He was baptized in october 1944 and confirmed on Palm Sunday in 1957 at Trinity Lutheran Church near Ogallala, Nebraska.&nbsp; He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in North Platte and was a devoted husband and father who loved his family very much.

He leaves behind his wife, Carol, and their son, Chad (Tara) Mahnken, all of North Platte; his sister, Barb (Charles) Hasenauer of North Platte; brothers Gary (Donna) Mahnken of North Platte and Keith (Connie) Mahnken of Grant; sister-in-law Diana (Jim) Newton of North Platte; as well as other family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Carol and Dorothy.

Norma Jean Scott, age 88, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died on December 10, 2019 at her home in Gothenburg.

She was born on May 16, 1931 in Gothenburg, Nebraska, daughter of Martin and Lillian (Beller) Ostendorf.&nbsp; Norma was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska at Tabatha Orphanage.&nbsp; She also lived in Gothenburg, Cozad and Holdrege, Nebraska and Alaska.&nbsp; She married Walter E. Scott on June 29, 1948 at the Cozad Church of Christ.&nbsp; The couple had six children, Walter Jr, John, LeRoy, Rhonda, Linda and Ricky.&nbsp; Norma worked hard all of her life.&nbsp; She was a cook in several local restaurants.&nbsp; She worked at Monroe's, and was a custodian at Holdrege Public Schools and in many homes.&nbsp; She spent many years as a caregiver and had a special place in her heart for taking care of the elderly.&nbsp; Norma enjoyed knitting and playing cards.&nbsp; She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her two sons, LeRoy (Julie) Scott of Gothenburg, Nebraska and John (Janice) Scott of Lexington, Nebraska; two daughters, Rhonda Hansen of Gothenburg, Nebraska and Linda Crawford of Callaway, Nebraska; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter E. Scott; two sons, Walter E. Scott, Jr. and Ricky Paul Scott; daughter-in-law, Emily Scott; granddaughter, Melissa Scott; her brother, Leo Ostendorf; three sisters, Esther Sawicki, Mae Wallin, and Delores Dutcher.

Norma Jean Scott  (1931 - 2019

Delores (Dee) Pearl Reeves was born to William Vangie and Mary Henrietta (Greely) Reeves on October 12, 1935 at North Platte, Nebraska. She departed this world on November 4, 2019 at the age of 84. Delores graduated from North Platte High School and went on to nursing school to become an LPN. She gave birth to her only child, Barbara Jo Rose in 1954. Dee married Verden Leroy (Joe) Carpenter. Dee and Joe were happily married for over 50 years. They loved the Lord and were active in their church. Dee and Joe continually supported various ministries and missionaries over the years. Dee enjoyed traveling, especially taking trips back to Nebraska to visit family and to fish on the pontoon boat at Lake McConaughy. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Henrietta and William Vangie Reeves; her daughter, Barbara Jo Call; her husband, Verden Leroy Carpenter; sisters, Vikki Andersen, Violet Krovas, LuElla Schultz and LaVonne Spurgin; and a granddaughter, Angela Miller. Delores is survived by her brothers, Harold Reeves and Merle Reeves; her granddaughter, Harmoni Wagner; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. <img src="https://media.eaglewebservices.com/public/2019/10/1571836321954.jpeg" width="206" style="cursor: nwse-resize;"> Arlene Jean Reiner, age 91, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte on Monday, October 21, 2019. Arlene was born on April 1, 1928 to Lawrence "Larry" and Evelyn Ruth (Noggle) Iseburg at Stromsburg, Nebraska, where she grew up. While at a skating rink in Grand Island, Nebraska, Arlene met and fell in love with a young man named Keith John Reiner. The two were married on June 2, 1948 at Grand Island, then moved to North Platte that August and later had three children. Arlene's first job was working at the Paramount Theater. She then worked as a waitress for the American Legion and the Airport Inn, working through four different owners at the airport. By the time she turn 70, Arlene retired. She was a hardworking, kind lady who loved her family and the Lord. She enjoyed the quietness of praying and loved baking cookies. She had baked for nearly everybody in town, and because of her baking, Arlene was able to pay off a $30,000 hospital bill by baking and selling her cookies. She asked for nothing and was grateful for everything. Arlene is survived by her children, Janice (Garry) Morris of North Platte, and John Reiner of Littleton, Colorado; 7 grandkids, 4 great-grandkids, and 4 great great-grandkids; her sister Barbara Eastman of Giltner, Nebraska; as well as other family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith, and their son, Richard; her father, Larry Iseburg; her mother and step-father, Evelyn and Jack Britton; sisters, Dorothy, Margaret, Betty and Elaine; her brother, Bernard; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Reiner; and a brother-in-law, Daryle Eastman. Cremation was chosen and services will be held at a later date. Pat Nisley McCarty, age 92 of North Platte and Omaha, died July 26, 2019 at Emerald Nursing and Rehabilitation center in Cozad. Pat was born February 7, 1927 in Guernsey, WY to Paul and Gertrude (Bohlen) Nisley. Pat grew up in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School. She married Ray McCarty on October 7, 1946. Pat worked at North Western Bell Telephone Company starting as an operator then moving to the business office.&nbsp;She also worked at Tuckers Café, Pawnee Hotel and the Tom Tom Restaurant. Pat was an avid bowler, she enjoyed going to Las Vegas and gambling. After Ray’s death in 1973, she moved to Omaha where she sold World Book. She also worked at Anthony’s Restaurant and West in the business office. Survivors include four children: Jerry (Nellie) McCarty from North Platte, Gary (Deanna) McCarty of Loveland, Co, Randy (Loreen) McCarty of Longmont, Co. and Patricia ”Trish” (Larry) Liljestrand of North Platte; two brothers, Jim Nisley from Wisconsin; and Bob Nisley of Washington; three sisters, Diana Henry from North Platte, Barb Harkins from Iowa, and Marietta Bradford from California; fifteen grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Paul and Charles Nisley. Memorials can be donated to Fur the Love of Paws and Great Plains Hospice.
