Robert "Bob" Lee Gage, age 71, of Texas, formerly of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away in Texas on December 19, 2019.&nbsp; He was born on September 4, 1948 to Violet and LeRoy Gage in North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; He graduated from North Platte High School in 1967.

Bob married Shirley Peters on May 3, 1969 in Ft. Riley, Kansas while serving in the Army.&nbsp; Upon leaving the Army, Bob worked various jobs until he obtained his CDL and started his life-long career as a truck driver.&nbsp; He traveled all over the United States driving big rigs.&nbsp; Together, Bob and Shirley had 6 children.

In 1986, Bob joined the First Assemblies of God Church in Chappel, Nebraska.&nbsp; Through the singles ministry he&nbsp; met his current wife, Sonia.&nbsp; Together Bob and Sonia continued to drive trucks until they moved to Van, Texas in 1994 where he began his job with D&amp;M Contractors.&nbsp; Bob worked with D&amp;M Contractors for 24 years until the time of his illness in 2018.&nbsp; Bob was the lead truck driver and earned the nickname "Bullet Bob" because he drove like a man on a mission and wasted no time getting from one place to the next.&nbsp; Bob loved to hunt, and his true passion was fishing, especially night fishing.&nbsp; He loved western movies, country music, and as much coffee as possible.&nbsp; He was known for making his grandkids laugh with silly songs and horseplay around the house.&nbsp; All the grandkids adored their Grandpa Bob.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.&nbsp; Survivors include his wife Sonia Gage; brother Kenneth Gage and wife Ruth; sister Shirley Sylvan and husband Leo; sister Donna Hunt and husband Everett; six children, Connie Stevens, Rick Gage and wife Tammy, Lisa Carey and husband Mike, David Gage and wife Mandi, Aimee Lunkwitz and husband Roy, and Darin Gage and wife Crystal; three stepdaughters, Dawn Parnell and husband Trey, Monica Dike and husband Dean, and Jodi Tunnell.

He proudly had 23 grandkids and 10 great grandkids.

Marlene Joyce Tatman, age 84, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte on Sunday, December 29, 2019.

Marlene was born on September 18, 1935 to Frank W. and Edna (Thompson) Bedke at Poole, Nebraska where she grew up.&nbsp; Marlene graduated from Ravenna High School, then went on to teach Elementary School for a short time before getting married.

On December 27, 1953, Marlene was united in marriage to Terrance Jean 'Terry' Tatman in Kearney,&nbsp; Nebraska.&nbsp; The two of them lived in Minden, Nebraska before moving to Kearney &amp; Cozad in Nebraska, and&nbsp; eventually settled in North Platte.&nbsp; Marlene was a stay-at-home mom who raised four children and many friends of their children.

After her older kids were grown, Marlene went to work in the cafeteria at North Platte High School and also worked at Chief Honest Johns for family friends, Marv and Onie Nelson.&nbsp; Once the youngest was out of the house, she worked for McFarland's Greenhouse seasonally, and as a Librarian at Osgood Elementary School.

Marlene was a member of the First Christian Church.&nbsp; She enjoyed bible study, camping with friends and family, sewing and making clothes for her kids and grandkids.&nbsp; She also enjoyed baking and cooking for all the neighborhood kids.

Marlene especially loved gardening and taking care of her kids and Terry, the love of her life.&nbsp; Her favorite movie was 'The Notebook' and she would watch it every time it was on.&nbsp; The staff at the nursing home referred to Marlene and Terry as 'The Notebook Couple', they were truly an original American couple who will be missed by many as they are eternally together.

She is survived by her children, Ronald (Glenda) Tatman of Hayden, Idaho, Linda (Lew) Champ of Sterling, Colorado, Steve (Dana) Tatman of Caldwell, Idaho, and Scott (Suzette) Tatman of North Platte, Nebraska; grandchildren, Boni (Rick) Jackson, Luck (Amber) Tatman, Craig (Hillary) Tatman, Teri Sue (Jared) Hoeksema, Josh (Andrea) Weitzel, Shaye Champ Correll (Geoff, Chelsea (Vincent) Lopez, Mataya Belka, Shayla (Zach) Paulman, Tyler Tatman and Chesney Tatman; 16 great-grandchildren and one great great grandson; her brother, Merlon 'Sam' (Cindy) Bedke of North Platte; brothers-in-law, Larry (Joyce) Tatman of North Platte and Fred (Carol) Tatman of Springdale, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Sue Tatman of North Platte and Margaret Bedke of Kearney, Nebraska; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Terry; her parents, Frank and Edna Bedke; sisters Edith Smiejkel, Lois Varley and Phyllis Lux; brothers Erwin and Robert Bedke; and a great-grandson, Jacob.

Eddie Olin Norton, age 80, of Maxwell, Nebraska passed away on December 26, 2019 at Great Plains Health in&nbsp; North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Eddie was born on June 8, 1939 in Limon, Colorado to Otis A. and Fern C. (Cook) Norton.&nbsp; He attended schools in Genoa and Sterling, Colorado.&nbsp; He was united in marriage to Margaret Lunkwitz on January 11, 1969 at the First Lutheran Church in North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; Eddie worked for Lincoln County Roads in North Platte as a motor grader operator for 32 years.&nbsp; He enjoyed spending his time fishing and gardening.

Eddie was preceded in death by his mother and father; brother, James, Leonard, Franklin, Otis and Charles.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Margaret Norton; his son, Bobby (Lorie) Norton; grandsons, Connor (Shelby) Norton and Ethan Norton; and a sister, Opal Palmer.

the Sutherland Care Center.&nbsp; He was born
April 6, 1926 in North Platte to Carl and Hildur Peterson.

He attended school in Paxton and graduated from Elm Creek
High School in 1944.&nbsp; Harold then moved
back with his family to Paxton in 1945 and worked as a mechanic.&nbsp; He met Rosalie Walker and they were married
March 25, 1949.&nbsp; They leased a small farm
south of Paxton and continued to farm, buying his own land and farming and
ranching with his son Randy until he was in his late eighties.

Harold was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in
Paxton.&nbsp; He enjoyed his farming business
and his family, especially his grandchildren.

Harold M. Peterson (1926-2019

Dolores Ann Kosmicki, 93, of North Platte, died December 25,
2019, at Linden Court in North Platte.&nbsp;
She was born on May 25, 1926, to Joseph and Jessie Joy (Hughes)
Estermann on the ranch near Somerset.

Dolores graduated from Nebraska School of Agriculture in
Curtis and University of Nebraska at Lincoln.&nbsp;
She taught for five years in various schools in southwestern Nebraska.

On May 28, 1953 she married Alphonse Kosmicki at St.
Patrick’s Catholic Church in North Platte.&nbsp;
They lived on ranches north of North Platte.

Dolores is survived by two sons, Peter (Susie) Kosmicki of
Cedar Falls, Iowa and James (Penni) Kosmicki of North Platte.;&nbsp; two daughters, Carol (Bert) Conway of
O’Neill, and Annette (Shawn) Burwell of Elkhorn;&nbsp; sister-in-law, Marlene Estermann of Wellfleet;&nbsp; eleven grandchildren; many nieces and
nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alphonse;
brother, Joseph.

She was born on May 25, 1926, to Joseph and Jessie Joy (Hughes)
Estermann on the ranch near Somerset.Dolores graduated from Nebraska School of Agriculture in
Curtis and University of Nebraska at Lincoln.&nbsp;
She taught for five years in various schools in southwestern Nebraska.On May 28, 1953 she married Alphonse Kosmicki at St.
Patrick’s Catholic Church in North Platte.&nbsp;
They lived on ranches north of North Platte.Dolores is survived by two sons, Peter (Susie) Kosmicki of
Cedar Falls, Iowa and James (Penni) Kosmicki of North Platte.;&nbsp; two daughters, Carol (Bert) Conway of
O’Neill, and Annette (Shawn) Burwell of Elkhorn;&nbsp; sister-in-law, Marlene Estermann of Wellfleet;&nbsp; eleven grandchildren; many nieces and
nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alphonse;

Marian Maxine Rosenblad, age 96, of North Platte, Nebraska passed
away at Centennial Park Retirement Village on Saturday, December 21,
2019.



Marian was born on the family farm in Anita, Iowa on August
7, 1923, to Johnie Jacob and Alvah Pearl (Beel) Heck.&nbsp; The family
moved to Brady, Nebraska when Marian was 13, so she attended school in
Gothenburg and graduated from Elm Creek High School in 1941. After high
school, Marian worked in North Platte as a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital.



On March 17, 1946, Marian married Orvylle Adolphus Rosenblad
in North Platte.&nbsp; They lived in North Platte then moved to
Sutherland, Nebraska for a while before returning to North Platte.&nbsp;
After Orvylle died in 1967 Marian married Harold Lincoln Rosenblad on
January 1, 1969, at the First Christian Church in North Platte. She and
Harold lived on a farm north of Hershey, Nebraska and he later died in
1983.&nbsp;&nbsp; Marian then had a hog farm for seven years before she
sold the farm in 2005 and returned to North Platte where she has lived
ever since.



Marian had been a member of First Christian Church in North
Platte, Hershey United Methodist Church, and most recently she belonged
to Valley Christian Church.&nbsp; Marian liked gardening and had been a
member of garden clubs since 1970 and was a past member of Hershey Garden
Belles and Spade and Hope Garden Club in North Platte.&nbsp; She was also a
very good seamstress who liked to sew things for the kids when they were
young and went on to make beautiful formal gowns and specialty items.&nbsp;
She even did the most beautiful embroidery and cross stitching pieces up
until she had trouble with her eyesight.



Along with her husbands, Orvylle and Harold, Marian was
preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Arms; parents, Johnie and Alvah
Heck;&nbsp;brother, Clyde Heck; sisters-in-law, Lea Heck and Coral Heck
Gibson; step daughter-in-law, Peggy Rosenblad; and great grandson,
Anthoney.



Survivors include her sons, Jeff (Carol) Rosenblad, of North
Platte and Kevin Rosenblad, of Chillicothe, Illinois; stepson, Dennis
Rosenblad (friend, Margaret Jenner, of Yuma, Arizona brother, Gael
Heck, of North Platte; grandchildren, Chauncey Rosenblad, Chase
Rosenblad, Marshall (Kalli) Rosenblad, Cory (Bobbi) Rosenblad, Brady
Rosenblad, Kelly (Steve) Munson and Susan (Bill) Buettner;
great-grandchildren, Makenzi, Kambri, Maxton, Jace, Hudson, Michael,
Nathanial, Emmalie, Madalyn, Evellen and Margaret; six great
great-grandchildren; as well as other family.



Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 28,
2019, at Valley Christian Church, 2001 W State Farm Rd in North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp;
Burial will follow in the North Platte Cemetery.&nbsp; Visitation will
be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 with family
greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel at C

Marian Maxine Rosenblad  (1923 - 2019)

Brooklynne Cheyanne Gydesen was born on October 5, 1994 in North Platte,Nebraska.&nbsp; She died suddenly on December 20, 2019.&nbsp; Brooklynne entered God's Kingdom with her son, Zayden Reign, who was due to be born on February 14, 2020.&nbsp; Her biggest and most important achievement in life was being a mother.&nbsp; She was devoted to Nixxon Amos and Sawyer Sage, her three-year-old twins, and anxiously anticipated meeting her third child, Zayden.

Brooklynne was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Curtis, Nebraska in November 1994.&nbsp; She was confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elwood, Nebraska in May 2007.&nbsp; She spent from age 2 to 16 living in Elwood, a brief time in Oconto, Nebraska in 2010, and then in Culbertson, Nebraska for part of 2011.&nbsp; She moved to Curtis, Nebraska with her family in August of 2011.&nbsp; She graduated from Medicine Valley High School in 2013.&nbsp; She was a class speaker at her graduation, which gave her great joy.&nbsp; She never met a stranger and she formed strong friendships everywhere she went.

Brooklynne married Cooper Lee Gydesen of Elwood, Nebraska on June 29, 2013 in Curtis, Nebraska.&nbsp; She graduated from Joseph's College of Beauty, earning her cosmetology license in 2014.&nbsp; She worked in different hair salons in Keraney and Holdrege, but always had her heart set on having children.&nbsp; She lost one unborn baby in 2015.&nbsp;&nbsp;She became pregnant with triplets, and became a momma on June 9th, 2016 to twins, Nixxon and Sawyer, after losing one of the triplets. 

She was so proud of her children.&nbsp; When she wasn't working hard caring for folks at the Elwood Care Center and Assisted Living in Elwood, or making breakfast and lunch for the students at Medicine Valley Public Schools, she was playing Play-doh and taking pictures of Nixxon and Sawyer.&nbsp; She worked at the Elwood Care Center from 2017 until the time of her death.&nbsp; She also worked as the "Lunch Lady' at Medicine Valley Public Schools in 2019.

Brooklynne has also just passed her first nursing class and State Boards for her Certified Nursing Assistant License.&nbsp; She was so very happy, and so very proud of herself.&nbsp; She planned to accept a scholarship to start her path toward becoming a Registered Nurse in the summer of 2020.

Brooklynne is survived by her husband, Cooper; children Nixxon and Sawyer; her father, Gary (Maria) Doyle of Callaway, Nebraska; her mother, Melanie (Shawn) Standiford of Curtis, Nebraska; siblings: Levi (Amber) Doyle and children Abel and Zax of Callaway, Nebraska, Karni (Stephan) Vath and Alexander of Grand Island, Nebraska, Lukas Doyle of Kearney, Nebraska, Wryleigh Doyle, Sophia Doyle, Louie Doyle and Viavanna Doyle of Callaway, Nebraska, and Houston Standiford of Curtis, Nebraska; step-siblings Kael Standiford of Curtis, Nebraska, Wyatt Standiford of Lincoln, Nebraska, Noah Standiford of Culbertson, Nebraska, and Aubrey Wagner of Lincoln, Nebraska.&nbsp; Brooklynne is also survived by her Grandpa, Louie (Janis) Nutt of Wellfleet, Nebraska, Grandparents Robert and Virgene Doyle of Maywood, Nebraska and Gary and Mary Elliot of Vancouver, Washington; plus numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many loved friends who touched her life, and those she touched.

Brooklynn and Zayden were proceeded in death by Brooklynne's Grandma, Linda Nutt, and two of her unborn children.

Visitation will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 504 Wallace St, Curtis, Nebraska on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Curtis, Nebraska on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. David Kahle and Rev Justin Hildebrand officiating.&nbsp; Interment will follow in the Elwood Cemetery in Elwood, Nebraska.

Robert Eugene Winchell age 98 died December 21st,
2019 in North Platt, NE.

Bob was born December 13, 1921 In Goodland, Kansas,
the son of Daniel and Martha (Erickson) Winchell.

He married Barbara Harding in Sidney, Nebraska on
January 24th, 1943. They were married 73 years before Barb’s passing
in 2015. They brought into this world four children; Linda, Dan, John, and
Dean. 

Bob served his country in the South Pacific in WWII
aboard the USS Wachapreague. &nbsp;After returning from the war he went to work
for Union Pacific Railroad in 1946, following job openings on the railroad eastward from Julesburg, Colorado before finally settling in North Platte.&nbsp; Bob Retired in 1982.&nbsp; After retirement, he spent his time enjoying the many friends and grandkids that have been so much a part of their lives.

He is survived by sons Dan (Linda) of North Platte,
John (Gayle) of North Platte, Dean (Tina) of Harvard, Ne; brother-in-law Marvin
Harding of Houston, sisters-in-law Carma Ehalt of Arizona, Rose Harding of
Burns, Wyoming, and&nbsp; Roberta Harding of
Thousand Palms, California; 15 Grandchildren, 17 Great grandchildren and 5
Great-Great- Grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.

&nbsp;Bob was
preceded in death by his wife and daughter, Linda Fairchild.

Although a long life results in many acquaintances,
perhaps not as many true friends. 

Many special memories of his friend Chris Linn, the
extraordinary kindness of his caregiver, Sara Zogg, and of Chuck Matthews a friend who never
forgot his service to his country.

Gerald “Jerry” W. Piontkowski, 58, of North Platte, passed
away December 19, 2019 at Great Plains Health.&nbsp;
He was born on June 22, 1961 to Richard and Catherine (Still)
Piontkowski.

Jerry graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1979. &nbsp;After graduation he travelled all over the
country working various jobs.&nbsp; He ended
up settling in Ogallala and married Mary Dale on June 29, 1993.&nbsp; To this union, three daughters were born,
Sandra, Samantha, and Catherine.

The Family lived in North Platte where Jerry worked at Best
Linen (now known as Ideal Linen, North Platte Rec Center, Telegraph, Kwik Stop
in Ogallala and North Platte, and Cabelas.&nbsp;
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.&nbsp; Family was the center of his life; he adored
his children and especially his grandchildren.&nbsp;
He loved fishing and camping and feeding the squirrels and birds.

Survivors include daughters, Sandra Owens, Samantha (fiancé
Randy Cassilas Jr.) Piontkowski, and Catherine Piontkowski all of North Platte;
grandchildren Destiny Piontkowski, Nevaeh Piontkowski, Damien Piontkowski, Noah
McEntire, Aubrei Piontkowski and Hellana Ruiz; brothers Fr. Richard Piontkowski
Jr. of Ravenna, NE, and Thomas Piontkowski of Aurora, NE, sister Carol Hagemann
of Waterloo, NE; numerous other family members and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; sister Catherine
Lynn Kwiatkowski; and best friends Jim Grabowski and Darin Crosier.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.&nbsp; Family was the center of his life; he adored
his children and especially his grandchildren.&nbsp;

unexpectedly at home
on December 11, 2019.



Maurice was born October 27, 1942, to Elton and Anna Marie
Withers at
Holdrege, Nebraska, and grew up in Smithfield.&nbsp; He
attended school in
Elwood then went to work as an over-the-road truck driver,
eventually
moving to North Platte. In the mid 80's Maurice went to work
for the
city as a heavy equipment operator and worked until
retiring.&nbsp; To keep
busy, Maurice then worked for a private contractor
maintaining the rest
areas along Interstate 80, primarily at Sutherland.



Maurice married Joan 'Jo' Marie Jolliffe Conway and they made
their home
in North Platte.&nbsp; Maurice was a member of the Eagles
Aeries #2839 and
V.F.W.&nbsp; He loved fishing, camping and going to auctions.



He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo, and parents, Elton
and Anna.



Maurice is survived by his son, Steven Withers, of Joplin,
Missouri;
daughter, Susan Withers, of Grand Island; stepsons, Kelley

Doris (Beringer) Cordell, age 92, formerly of Hershey, Nebraska, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Gothenburg, Nebraska.

Doris was born on July 3, 1927 to Peter and Elizabeth Beringer in Aurora, Illinois.&nbsp; Her mom died in 1927 and later her father married Hazel Ortman, who was a wonderful mother to Doris.

Doris graduated from West Aurora High School with the Class of 1945, then went to work as a bookkeeper for a dress manufacturing company in Aurora.&nbsp; On October 8, 1947, Doris was united in marriage to Jim Cordel at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Sutherland, Nebraska.&nbsp; The couple lived on a farm west of Hershey, Nebraska for six years, then moved into town.&nbsp; They raised three children and were married for 58 years.

Doris was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and attended Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church in Hershey, where she was on the Altar Society, and was active with the U-Come-To Club.&nbsp; She helped on the Senior Center Board for two years, the Lincoln County Election Board for many years, and ehlped start the recycling program in Hershey.&nbsp; Doris also helped pack boxes for troops overseas with Patriot Packages.&nbsp; In addition to all her activities, she enjoyed her children, grandchildren and being with friends as well as walking, reading, doing embroidery and listening to music.

She is survived by her daughter, Gay Cordell-Smith (Galen) of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; her sons, Lynn (Barbara) Cordell of Hastings, Nebraska and Pat (Patricia) Cordell of Gothenburg, Nebraska; grandchildren, Gabe (Kara) Cordell of Bennington, Nebraska and Jennifer Cordell-Wheeler (Joe) of St. Louis, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Sienna Lynn and Ayla Elizabeth Cordell; nephew, David Greenbusch of Aurora, Illinois; special friend, Della Brown of Hershey, Nebraska; as well as other friends and family.

Along with her mother, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her parents, Peter and Hazel Beringer; a sister, Joan Breenbusch; and a niece, Rosemarie Greenbusch.

Harry Joyce Most, age 84, went to be with His Lord Jesus on December 16, 2019 at his home near Brady, Nebraska.

Harry had five loves in his life.&nbsp; The first fueled all the others.&nbsp; Harry was a Jesus man.&nbsp; He loved Jesus with all his heart and that fueled the second love of his life, Shirley.&nbsp; They were married for 61 years and they obviously still had a passionate love for each other.&nbsp; Harry's third love was his family who he worked tirelessly to provide for and, more than anything, yearned that they would know and follow Jesus.&nbsp; He prayed for his family, a lot!&nbsp; Harry loved music, particularly brass band music and hymns.&nbsp; Harry sang in a quartet for many years and, with urging from his children, would break out his accordion.&nbsp; In service to his loved and Savior, Jesus, he gave his live away to others, often times using his skill doing electrical work, which&nbsp; he enjoyed greatly.&nbsp; He helped wire over four different church buildings and loved helping Christian ministries in this way.

Harry was born on October 9, 1935 to Harry Jesse and Mary Belle Most at their family home in Roscoe, Nebraska.&nbsp; He was the eldest of three living children.&nbsp; At age seven, his family moved to North Platte, Nebraska, but not before accidentally set a field on fire that nearly burned the Village of Roscoe down!

Harry graduated from North Platte High School in 1953, and then graduated from Briercrest Bible Institute in 1957.&nbsp; While serving as an intern pastor in Denver, Colorado, he was introduced to Shirley and they married on July 18, 1958.

In 1959, Harry gained an electrical apprenticeship at Union Pacific Railroad, joining his father in that profession on the railroad.&nbsp; He also ran his own electrician business out of his home for many years.&nbsp; Harry built a home near Hershey, Nebraska in 1976 and was a part of that community for 30 years.&nbsp; Harry retired from working on the railroad in 1997, enjoying a career of nearly 40 years there.&nbsp; In 2007, he and his boys built a home near Brady, Nebraska where he could more easily attend his grandchildren's many activities.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Brady, Nebraska; sons, David (Linda) Most of Vernal, Utah, Daniel (Judy) Most of Falcon, Colorado, Richard (Cathy) Most of Van Buren, Arkansas, Jonathan (Bonny) Most of Brady, Nebraska, Nathaniel (Wendy) Most of Gothenburg, Nebraska, Phillip (Jewel) Most of Mancos, Colorado, and Eric (Jennifer) Most of Brady, Nebraska; a daughter, Leatha Hansz of Falcon, Colorado; 36 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Glenda (Lee) Burnham of Wythville, Virginia and Sharron (Glenn) Watt of Longmont, Colorado; as well as many other family members.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mary Belle; an infant sister, Darlene; and daughters-in-law, Karlynda Most and Amy Most.

Harry Joyce Most  (1935 - 2019

Augustine "Augie" Tarango, age 81, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on December 12, 2019 at the North Platte Care Center.&nbsp; Augie was born on May 28, 1938 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Joe and Julie (Apodaco) Tarango.&nbsp; He grew up in Chihuahua and Mexico City areas, immigrating with his family to Clovis, New Mexico.&nbsp; When he was 16, he left New Mexico, moved aroung, and finally settled in North Platte, Nebraska where he met Juanita Medrano.&nbsp; The two were married on June 3, 1966 in North Platte.

Augie worked on construction crews that built the interstate before hiring on the Union Pacific Railroad in the Maintenance of Way Department, retiring in 1996.

Augie loved Mexican music and playing the accordion in his band and dancing, especially with his sister, Lupe, doing the Mexican hat dance.&nbsp; He enjoyed playing pool and was a good player.&nbsp; He loved his family, spending time with them, and will be especially remembered for taking family rides.&nbsp; He liked to fish and was an avid Husker fan.&nbsp; He is a Gold Star Father to Master Sgt. Linda Tarango Griess.

Survivors include two children, Augustine (Peggy Dixon) Tarango and Vicky (Rodney) Smith, all of North Platte; grandchildren, Johnnie Moore, Jr. of North Platte, Christopher (Sarah Burg) Tarango of Aurora, Colorado, Rodney Smith, Jr. and Isaac Smith both of North Platte; great-grandchild, Julie; siblings, Maria, Roger, Chuma, Lydia, Romelia, and several other siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Juanita; daughters, Linda Tarango Griess and Julie Ann Tarango; grandson, Anthony Tarango; mother-in-law, Alisa Medrano; father-in-law, Tereso Medrano; sister, Susana Mora; brothers-in-law, Chuck High Ducan II and Fred Nehls; and a sister-in-law, Lee Medrano.

Augustine "Augie" Tarango  (1938 - 2019)

Julaine Marie Thomsen, age 91, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Linden Court in North Platte.

Julaine was born on April 12, 2019 to Earl and Sophia Anna (Blum) Foster at Harvard, Nebraska.&nbsp; Her family moved to North Platte when she was 7 years old and she went on to graduated from North Platte High School in 1946.

On November 2, 1947, Julaine was united in marriage to Marlyn LeRoy 'Marty' Thomsen in North Platte.&nbsp; The couple was married for just over 50 years when Marty passed away in 1997.

Marty and Julaine started out in North Platte, moved to Hayes County in Nebraska in 1953, returned to North Platte in 1957, then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1980.&nbsp; Julaine eventually came back to North Platte in 2000.

Along with caring for her family, Julaine worked for Social Security starting in 1962 and retiring in 1987 after 26 years of service.&nbsp; She was a member of First Christian Church, Moose and Eagle Auxiliaries, and the Newcomers Club.&nbsp; Julaine liked playing cards and was in several different bridge and card clubs.&nbsp; She also enjoyed helping others by being a volunteer at the hospital gift shop and the Lincoln County Historical Museum.&nbsp; Julaine never met a stranger and was a friend to all.

Along with her husband, Marty, Julaine was preceded in death by their youngest son, Tim; her parents, Earl and Sophia Foster; her brother, Vaughn Foster; and a sister, Dorthy 'Dotte' Anderson.

Survivors include her son, Toby (Niesa) Thomsen of North Platte; her daughers, Kris (Paul) Goldman of Aurora, Colorado, Kerry (Mark) Morrison of Littleton, Colorado, and Kelle (Donald) Stock of Rabun Gap, Georgia; grandkids Ross Thomsen, Michael Maxwell, Jason (Megan) Thomsen, Whitney Thomsen, Kim Thomsen, Sara Maxwell, Nikki (Terry) Covera, Stacie Easton and Shelly (Chris) Mackintosh; many great-grandchildren and a great great-granddaughter; as well as other family.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Odean Colonial Chapel at C &amp; Sycamore in North Platte with Pastor Clint Walker officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in North Platte.&nbsp; Visitation will be on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel at C &amp; Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial.
