LINCOLN, Neb. (Oct. 2, 2025) – Students with a passion for entrepreneurship have a new chance to turn their ideas into action through the Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Applications are now open for scholarships for the 2026–27 academic year. The awards are available to both incoming and current students in UNL’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources who have experience in FFA or 4-H.

The deadline to apply is midnight on December 15, 2025, and applications can be submitted online at englerjourney.com.

Since its launch in 2012, the Engler program has invested more than $2 million in scholarships and resources to support young entrepreneurs and innovators. While scholarships help open the door, all students are welcome to participate in the program, which offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and the opportunity to earn an academic minor in entrepreneurship.

The Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program was created in 2010 through a $20 million gift from the Paul F. and Virginia J. Engler Foundation. Its mission is simple but bold: to help students pursue their purpose with courage and creativity through entrepreneurship.
