James M. Simon, 76, of North Platte, passed away November 9, 2022 at North Platte Care Center.&nbsp; He was born on May 10, 1946 to William and Elizabeth (Markel) Simon in North Platte.

James was born and raised in North Platte and graduated from Hershey High School with the class of 1965.&nbsp; After high school, he hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad. &nbsp;James continued to work for UPRR after moving to Stockton, CA where he lived for the majority of his life until moving back to North Platte in 2018.&nbsp;

Survivors include daughter, Roune; siblings, Tom, Joe, Ann, Kay, Bill, Phil, and Suzie. James was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Elizabeth “Bess”; brother, Bob.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Adams &amp; Swanson Funeral Home with a rosary preceding the service at 10:30 a.m.&nbsp; Inurnment will follow at North Platte Cemetery.&nbsp; Visitation will be held, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Adams &amp; Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

James M. Simon (1946-2022)

&nbsp; Anneliese Roberts, 88, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Ogallala Community Hospital in Ogallala, NE. Anneliese was born August 4, 1934 in Ismaning, Germany to Franz and Anna Trumler. Her childhood was spent under the rule of Nazi Germany. During WWII, she attended school at Volkschule in Munich-Reim, Germany. She was accepted into a cosmetology apprenticeship. She finished her apprenticeship within three years and received her degree in cosmetology. After graduating, she worked as a journeyman cosmetologist until she married her husband and moved to the United States. She could not travel to the United States until she was approved for immigration into the United States. This took about six months. She received her naturalization on May 8, 1952. Anneliese married the love of her life, John Roberts, on March 17, 1952 in Munich, Germany, and to this union six children were born. As her children grew, Anneliese worked as a cosmetologist in Alma, NE and Orleans, NE. She worked in this career for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed watching her children's involvement in various sporting activities and school activities. She also enjoyed watching her children's involvement with their horse showings. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband John to Arizona and California. Anneliese enjoyed cooking her many German dishes for her family. She could always make the best pot roast, cookies for her grandchildren, and various desserts. She also enjoyed gardening. She had an unbelievable green thumb which she passed on to her grandson, Tomas England. She grew the most beautiful flowers. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed fishing with her grandchildren. Family meant everything to her. She was a woman of Faith and a devoted Catholic and will be missed by everyone who knew her. She resided at Fort Dodge, KS near Dodge City , KS with her husband John until his passing in July 2020. She cherished her time as a volunteer with many U.S. veterans. She enjoyed making crafts with John until she lost her eyesight to macular degeneration. She and her husband were very involved with the veteran's poppy program for many years while residing at Fort Dodge, KS. For the past two years, she resided in Ogallala, NE with her daughter Sue and her family. She loved her pet dachshunds, Schnapps, Heidi, and Rusty. She was blessed with a wealth of family. She and her husband were happily married for 68 years before John was called home. She is survived by a brother, Franz Trumler and wife Carol of Boelus, NE; brother-in-law, Francis Hofmeyer from CA; two sons, Johnnie Roberts and wife Vicki of Paradise, KS; Donald Roberts and his wife Sheila of Phillipsburg, KS; four daughters, Anna Ledbetter and husband Rick of Wallard, TN; Helen Rains and her husband Cecil of Amarillo, TX; Sue England and husband Scott of Ogallala, NE; and Pamela Roberts and partner, Jim Goracke of Bucklin, KS; 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Anneliese Roberts (1934-2022)

Edward E. Henry, 87, of North Platte, NE passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Linden Court surrounded by his wife and family.

Ed was born on August 29, 1935 in Cambridge, NE the son of Russell William and Laura Jane (Eaton) Henry.&nbsp; He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War from 1954-56.&nbsp; He married Carolyn K. Bockus on August 13, 1953 in Grand Island, NE and together they had 3 sons.&nbsp; He also served in the National Guard and the Army Reserves.&nbsp; Ed worked for most of his career with the Union Pacific Railroad as an electrician, retiring in 1997 after 44 years of service.&nbsp; He owned and operated Ed’s TV repair service for several years, and along with his wife, Valley Hi Ceramics.&nbsp; Ed was a member of the American Legion for 42 years and the Flatlander Car Club, where he loved showing his restored antique Ford '59 Galaxy 500.&nbsp; He was an avid NASCAR fan, coin collector, and enjoyed traveling to concerts and casinos along with his wife.

Those left to cherish Ed’s memory are his wife of 69 years, Carolyn; sons, Rick Henry (Ronnie Sunnycalb, Jr.) of Denver, CO, Randy Henry (Becky) of Bloomfield, NM, and Rob Henry (Mary) of Fort Dodge, Iowa; grandchildren, Lindsay Perry (Troy), Courtney Fodor (Tony), Aspen Henry, and Aaron Henry; step-grandchildren, Cristina Hilker (Shane), John Richendifer (Kayla), Steven Richendifer, and William Richendifer; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Reecee, and Drew Perry, and Talen Fodor; step-great-grandchildren, Caylee and Christian Conour, Sylvia and Shane Hilker, and Leonidas Richendifer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by siblings, Rusty Henry, Billy Beganics, Peggy Pitts, Bobby Dean Henry, and Alfie Erickson.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the family for future designation.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with his nephew, Steve Thomlison officiating.&nbsp; Burial with military honors will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Veterans Cemetery near Maxwell.&nbsp; A visitation and book signing will be held on Sunday, November 13th&nbsp;&nbsp;with the family receiving friends from 2-4 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.&nbsp;

Barbara Gail (Luther)&nbsp;Weskamp, age 74, of Denver, Colorado, formerly of Indianola and McCook, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at The Springs at St. Andrew’s Village in Aurora, CO.

Barbara was born on December 2, 1947, to parents Kenneth Charles and Louise Marion (Streff) Luther.&nbsp; She was the youngest of three children.&nbsp; Barbara graduated from Indianola High School in 1966 and then attended Weaver Airline School.&nbsp; After graduation in 1967, she worked for Eastern Airlines in Chicago, Illinois as a reservationist.&nbsp; She also met her future husband of 54 years there, even though they grew up only 10 miles apart from each other on farms in Nebraska.

On April 20, 1968, Barbara married her beloved Lonnie Paul Weskamp at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Indianola.&nbsp; They moved to Colorado and raised four children there, two daughters and two sons.&nbsp; Barbara was a wonderful mother, wife, and homemaker for many years.&nbsp; Later, she was&nbsp;a paraprofessional for Denver Public Schools for 11 years.&nbsp; After moving back to Nebraska in 2002, she continued being a teacher's assistant for McCook Elementary School for 15 years.

Barbara could always be counted on to provide a helping hand with a smile every time.&nbsp; She enjoyed sewing, yardwork, playing Canasta, solving puzzle books,&nbsp;and baking.&nbsp; Her delicious Christmas cookies, homemade noodles, and zucchini bread will be greatly missed.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Weskamp; in-laws, Larry (Jeniene) Lashley; and niece, Renee Bajza.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Lonnie; daughter, Erica (David) Potvin; son, Philip (Patsy) Weskamp; daughter,&nbsp;Nancy (Nick) Rooney; daughter-in-law, Melissa Weskamp; grandchildren, Andrew, Megan, Dawson, Audrey, and Aidan;&nbsp;brother, Clayton (Marilyn) Luther; sister, Susie Davidson; and many nieces and nephews.

Liberty (Libby) Pearl Ottun infant daughter of Philip and Sharon, born September 5, 2022, passed away November 4, 2022, at the Jennie M Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow, NE.

You won't get this letter, but it sure helps us to write it.&nbsp; You are a precious treasure God gave our family.&nbsp; We have viewed you as that since the moment we found out about you on December 28th&nbsp;of last year.&nbsp; Daddy had just gotten out of the hospital from being really sick and we knew God was going to take care of us.&nbsp; You were our sparkle of joy through the winter months.&nbsp; You helped feed a lot of cattle throughout the winter in mommy's tummy and you didn't even know it.&nbsp; All summer we looked forward to meeting you.&nbsp; Then the hot, dry summer was filled with sadness at the loss of Uncle Kory.&nbsp; Yet in this time of deep grieving, we eagerly anticipated your arrival.

You joined our family on September 5, 2022, at 12:42 p.m.&nbsp; It was a bright and sunny summer day without a cloud in the sky and we knew life was going to be good again.&nbsp; Daddy and Mommy were overjoyed.&nbsp; Aunt Tammy brought Ruby, Ella, and Oliver to greet you right away . . . they were so excited.&nbsp; They begged to hold you every day.&nbsp; Ruby was so excited to "babysit" you in the swing every chance she got.&nbsp; Ella was always asking "Does Baby like her sister?", "What does the Baby say?", and "Does Baby Liberty know Jesus?" Now we tell her, "Yes, she does." &nbsp;Oliver loved giving you multitudes of kisses on your head.&nbsp; He would also point at you and grunt and then pat his chest to let people know that you were his baby.&nbsp; All six of us enjoyed several “Sunday Fun Days” that included watching nature, and one ride down a minimum maintenance road with a picnic supper.&nbsp; It got dark on us as we were riding home and we stopped to look at the magnificent stars and commented that "Jesus is such a good artist" . . . but we already knew that because he is the Creator of all good things including you, our beautiful baby (Psalm 139:13-16). You got to help Mom rake hay a couple of times (sunshine and vibrations on tractor rides make for excellent naps). &nbsp;To be honest, you were shaping up to be a really good cowgirl.&nbsp; I guess God needed a little cowgirl like you because He took you home.

Grandma Anita came out to see you several times and loved holding you.&nbsp; She was such a help bringing us meals and washing dishes.&nbsp; Grandpa and Grandma Busenitz came to visit in September.&nbsp; Grandpa smiled big when he saw you and Grandma spent the day helping Mom with one hand and holding you with the other (Grandmas are good at that type of thing). Mommy will always treasure the hug you gave her two days before you went to see Jesus.&nbsp; Daddy will never forget holding you through church as you slept last Sunday.

For 60 short days you graced our home and what we wouldn't give to have you for 60 more years.&nbsp; On November 4, you and your siblings all woke up at 6:30 am and we snuggled in Daddy and Mommy's bed for 20 minutes before getting up.&nbsp; This tradition has become one of God's precious gifts to us (Daddy always said he was glad we had a king-sized bed).&nbsp; That morning there was a dusting of snow, ever-so-light and beautiful, and it was cold.&nbsp; Your sisters and brother were so excited to get snow.&nbsp; As quickly as the snow came, it went.&nbsp; And so did you, quietly in your sleep.&nbsp; As the sun came out and warmed the earth, your day became more beautiful as you are now in Heaven, being held by Jesus who loves the little children even more than we can fathom. &nbsp;

You now have had the privilege of meeting Grandpa Gaylord Ottun and Uncle Kory Kitt.&nbsp; But you are so greatly missed by your daddy and mommy (Philip and Sharon Ottun), your siblings: Ruby, Ella, and Oliver; Grandma Anita Ottun; Grandpa Harold and Grandma Mary Busenitz; Aunt April Kitt, and daughters: Karina, Annalise, and Koralee; Uncle Fred and Aunt Rhoda Woods and children: Isannah, Brigham, Truman, and Marilla; Uncle Sterling Ottun and daughter Maria; Uncle Gentry and Aunt Joy Friesen and children Jace, Kinsley, Roddek, and Kinta; Uncle Dalen and Aunt Tammera Moody and children Alyissa, Lane, and Rylen; Uncle Nate and Aunt Sandra Schroeder and children Kasodi, Raeginn, Rustin, Bristol, Cole, and Grant; Uncle Aaron and Aunt Leah Busenitz and children Landrey, Finley, and new baby coming soon.

Condolences may be left at&nbsp;<a href="http://www.govierbrothers.com/">www.govierbrothers.com</a>.Dear Precious Liberty Pearl,You won't get this letter, but it sure helps us to write it.&nbsp; You are a precious treasure God gave our family.&nbsp; We have viewed you as that since the moment we found out about you on December 28th&nbsp;of last year.&nbsp; Daddy had just gotten out of the hospital from being really sick and we knew God was going to take care of us.&nbsp; You were our sparkle of joy through the winter months.&nbsp; You helped feed a lot of cattle throughout the winter in mommy's tummy and you didn't even know it.&nbsp; All summer we looked forward to meeting you.&nbsp; Then the hot, dry summer was filled with sadness at the loss of Uncle Kory.&nbsp; Yet in this time of deep grieving, we eagerly anticipated your arrival.You joined our family on September 5, 2022, at 12:42 p.m.&nbsp; It was a bright and sunny summer day without a cloud in the sky and we knew life was going to be good again.&nbsp; Daddy and Mommy were overjoyed.&nbsp; Aunt Tammy brought Ruby, Ella, and Oliver to greet you right away . . . they were so excited.&nbsp; They begged to hold you every day.&nbsp; Ruby was so excited to "babysit" you in the swing every chance she got.&nbsp; Ella was always asking "Does Baby like her sister?", "What does the Baby say?", and "Does Baby Liberty know Jesus?" Now we tell her, "Yes, she does." &nbsp;Oliver loved giving you multitudes of kisses on your head.&nbsp; He would also point at you and grunt and then pat his chest to let people know that you were his baby.&nbsp; All six of us enjoyed several “Sunday Fun Days” that included watching nature, and one ride down a minimum maintenance road with a picnic supper.&nbsp; It got dark on us as we were riding home and we stopped to look at the magnificent stars and commented that "Jesus is such a good artist" . . . but we already knew that because he is the Creator of all good things including you, our beautiful baby (Psalm 139:13-16). You got to help Mom rake hay a couple of times (sunshine and vibrations on tractor rides make for excellent naps). &nbsp;To be honest, you were shaping up to be a really good cowgirl.&nbsp; I guess God needed a little cowgirl like you because He took you home.Grandma Anita came out to see you several times and loved holding you.&nbsp; She was such a help bringing us meals and washing dishes.&nbsp; Grandpa and Grandma Busenitz came to visit in September.&nbsp; Grandpa smiled big when he saw you and Grandma spent the day helping Mom with one hand and holding you with the other (Grandmas are good at that type of thing). &nbsp; Reta Kimball of North Platte, NE,&nbsp; passed away at the Callaway Good Life Center on November 9, 2022, at the age of 87. Reta, the daughter of Leland and Mary Stevenson, was born June 23, 1935, at Westerville, NE, where she grew up.&nbsp; After graduating from Westerville High School, Reta attended Kearney State Teachers College and earned her teaching certificate.&nbsp; She then moved to North Platte where she taught at District 44, south of town. On August 15, 1954, Reta was united in marriage to Clair Kimball at Westerville Methodist Church.&nbsp; They settled in North Platte and raised three children.&nbsp; Reta went on to work for the hospital in an admissions position and retired from Great Plains Regional Medical Center after 27 years. She was a member of First Christian Church.&nbsp; Reta like to shop and loved her family.&nbsp; She especially enjoyed going to her grandkids and great-grandkids sporting events - she was their biggest fan. Reta was preceded in death by her husband, Clair, and their infant daughter, Lori Jo; her parents, Leland and Mary Stevenson; brothers, Lewis and Richard Stevenson; and son-in-law, Mark Pandorf. John Hunt, age 74, of Mason City, NE passed away October 31, 2022, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE. John Richard Hunt was born April 9, 1948, in Fresno, California to Stanley Howard and Wilma (Stillwagon) Hunt. John attended and graduated from school in California. John was united in marriage to Tammy Lichtenberger March 24, 1993, in Taft, CA. The couple made their home in California for a while, moving back to Nebraska in 1994. John worked for New Holland, and then Filters Specialist Incorporator as a welder supervisor. He was also a volunteer EMT. John enjoyed hunting and fishing.

John is survived by his wife Tammy of Mason City, children: Johnathan Hunt of California, Cynthia Cates of Washington, Stanley Hunt of Washington, stepson Jason (Tabitha) Lichtenberger of Broken Bow, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, half-brothers Robert Hunt of Berwyn, and Bryan Hunt of California, half-sister Kathy Bernhardt of Omaha, and stepmother Edna Hunt of Nebraska. John was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Wilma Hunt, and a brother Mike Hunt.

Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Virginia M. (Ginny) Richardson, 92, of North Platte, NE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Great Plains Health Hospital. Virginia was born on December 4, 1929 in North Platte the daughter of Charles M. and Inez M. Johnson. Ginny graduated with the class of 1947 from North Platte High School. She moved to Denver with a girlfriend to work. Upon coming back home for a visit, she met her husband-to-be Terry H. Richardson. After his enlistment they were married in Denver and celebrated over 50 years of marriage before his passing. Ginny worked for 20 years for Montgomery Wards in the catalog department and made some wonderful friendships there. After her husband’s passing, she chose to move to Buffalo Bill Manor and has resided there since. She loved meeting new people and was very involved in the activities and functions they had. She was very kindhearted and loved spending time with family and friends. Her grandkids and great grandkids were the apple of her eye! She will be missed by all that loved and knew her. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sheila (Randy) Walz; daughter in law, Lisa Richardson; grandchildren, Sara (Ryan) Vander Helm, Matt Walz, Katie (Jeff) Newcomb, Marcus (Kristin) Richardson, Brandi (Josh) Vincent; great-grandchildren, Holly and Piper Vander Helm, Jaxon Walz, Colt and Remi Newcomb, Holt, Scotti and Zoe Richardson, Lucy and Graham Vincent; nieces, Kim and Deborah Callihan.

Scotty was born September 14, 1960 in Ainsworth, Nebraska to DuWayne and Ann (Atkinson) Thompson, and grew up in the Bassett area. He attended training centers in Broken Bow, Norfolk, Ainsworth, and Chamberlain, SD. Last attending South Central Developmental Center in Cozad while residing with his sister and brother in law, Jill and Darin Hoffmaster of Lexington NE. Scotty loved the outdoors, camping, boating and swimming. He will always be remembered for his bright smile, loving nature, and the purest heart. He is survived by his parents, DuWayne and Ann Thompson of Lincoln; sister, Jill Hoffmaster of Lexington; brother, Kent Thompson of Lincoln; special friends, Joy Thompson of Lincoln and Brandon Barnes of Lexington; nieces, Brooke (Harrison) Duncan of Atlanta, GA, and Paige (Christian) LeBlanc of Omaha; nephews, Jordan Nicewonger of Lexington and Jake Thompson of Lincoln; and great niece, Diana of Lexington. Scott Thompson (1960-2022)

Zachary C. Mooberry, 29 of Hastings, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at his home.

Zach was born on August 16, 1993, in Omaha, Nebraska to Donald and Lisa (Svoboda) Mooberry. The family lived in Yuma, Arizona before eventually moving to Lexington where he stayed from preschool to third grade and then to Kearney where Zach graduated from Kearney High School. During his time in high school, he enjoyed playing football.

Zach worked at various concrete jobs, Tom’s Midwest Liquor, Masterhand Milling and was a loader operator at Corn Husker Energy Ethanol Plant in Lexington.

Zach loved anything involving the outdoors. He loved to fish, hunt and shoot guns. His favorite animals to hunt were pheasants, deer, ducks and geese. Zach also greatly enjoyed the water. He liked boating and canoeing down the river and was also a certified scuba diver. His hobbies also included cruising around in his car while listening to music and skateboarding. He was also a dog lover and enjoyed having dogs as companions.

Zach is survived by his dad, Don Mooberry; sister, Caitlin Svoboda; grandmother, Deloris Svoboda; aunts, Chris Svoboda, Myrna Mooberry-Stanard; uncles, Tom Svoboda, Mike Svoboda, Tom Mooberry, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Zach is preceded in death by his mother, Lisa, Grandma and Grandpa Mooberry and Grandpa Svoboda, Uncle Chuck and Aunt Judy.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Jose Chavez, officiating.

Inurnment will be in the Grant Fairview Cemetery in Grant, Nebraska at a later date.

Zachary C Mooberry (1993-2022)

&nbsp; &nbsp; Joan Marie (Baumfalk) Lytle Mills was born April 25, 1934 in Hitchcock County to Alvin and Hannah Pollmann Baumfalk and entered Heaven on November 3, 2022.&nbsp; Alvin passed away when Joan was only nine years old.&nbsp; Hannah later remarried Harry Hein and two more brothers and a sister were added to the family. &nbsp; &nbsp; Joan graduated High School from Culbertson and lived in the Culbertson and the McCook area her entire life.&nbsp; On March 16, 1952, Joan married Donald Lytle.&nbsp; To this union three boys were born: Rod, Steve and Tim. &nbsp;In 1961, Donald was killed, as a result of a stock car accident.&nbsp; Joan was 27 years old and left with three little boys to care for with the help of her wonderful family.&nbsp; On October 24, 1963 Joan married Gary Mills and they were married until his death on July 24, 2014. &nbsp; &nbsp; Joan worked several jobs including Bud and Nicks, Recreation Unlimited, Spot Liquor, McCook Eye Clinic and Willow Lanes.&nbsp; Joan loved bowling and taught many how to bowl.&nbsp; Joan also loved fishing, doll collecting, playing bingo and farkle.&nbsp; (And she excelled at all of those)!&nbsp; She loved her pets and was especially close to her last cat, Snoopy.&nbsp; Joan was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, mom, mom-in-law, grandma and great grandma.&nbsp; She dearly loved her family and so enjoyed her time with them.&nbsp; She took time to cook with her grandkids and played many games with them.

Joan Marie Mills (1934-2022)

Robert “Bob” D. Keim passed away on November 6, 2022, at the age of 73, surrounded by his loved ones in his home.

Bob was born on March 31, 1949, in Orleans, Nebraska, to Max L. Keim and Ardith (Johnson) Keim. He graduated from Elm Creek High School in 1967. On May 25, 1968, he married Jeanne Beavers and to that union Roger and Gina were born. Bob married Jo Anderson Burmood on October 31, 1980, and gained a daughter, Cassi and also to their union, Bobby and Jennifer were born. Bob was hard -working and always wanted to be on the go. From starting at Kearney Pack to cutting meat at Sixth Street Food Store and doing HVAC work at Cozad Services for over 30+years he finally transitioned to Lexington Public Schools where he worked in maintenance and could say hi to his grandkids in the hall. Whether it was air conditioners, heaters, ice machines or the grandkids’ power cars, his hands were always fixing something. If he wasn’t working in the yard, fishing or camping, he may have been at the slot machines in any nearby casino. You could always find him scratching off lottery tickets at the kitchen table, drinking a Mountain Dew in the backyard or maybe taking a nap with one of the grandkids in the recliner. If anyone needed work done before 5 am they could find him drinking coffee at A&amp;D café with his cronies. He knew she knew and she knew he knew and we knew that everyone knew that he was hiding around the corner of the house smoking a L&amp;M Blue short cigarette. And that’s why they called him ‘Dr. Kool.’

Bob is survived by his wife, Jo; his children, Roger (Misty) Keim, Gina Albus (Kent Leibhart), Cassi (Will) Mossburgh, Bobby Keim and Jennifer (Dan) Grummert. Grandchildren, Ashley (T.J.), Elisha (Brandon), Hunter, Jordan, Lane, Nayleigh, Makenna, Lily, Kyla, Kayden, Trista, Kalleigh and Karsyn. Great-grandchildren, Harper, Cameron, Gianna, Jovani, Silas and Emma

Also survived by siblings, Gary (Sue) Keim, Steve (Donna) Keim, Dennis (Marilyn) Keim, and Kirby Keim; brothers-in-law, Creig (Cayla) Anderson and Richard (Kandy) Anderson; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and grandparents, Bob was preceded in death by his sisters, Lynn Keim and Jean Mitchell; brother-in-law, Jim Mitchell and grandson, Jackson Mossburgh.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Pastor Rex Adams, officiating. Barbara Jean Klein (1935-2022)

Harvey N. Arnold, age 72, of Cambridge, NE, passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday, November 6, 2022. He was born in Lexington, NE on February 23, 1950, to Dorrance and Evelyn (Klooz) Arnold. Harvey attended school in Farnam and later at Curtis. After graduation, he attended Kearney State College receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. &nbsp;

On March 7, 1970, Harvey was united in marriage to Jerri Lou Gull at&nbsp;St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in McCook. The couple lived in Kearney for a brief period before moving to the farm north of Cambridge. The couple were blessed with two sons,&nbsp;Travis and Chris.&nbsp;

Harvey was a hard-working farmer, raising a variety of row crops (corn, wheat and soybeans) along with prairie hay. He and Jerri Lou raised a herd of Gelbvieh cattle. In his spare time, Harvey enjoyed hunting quail, pheasants, and deer.&nbsp;&nbsp;On vacations from the farm, they visited Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Arches National Park all in Utah, Glacier National Park, Grand Canyon, but their favorite was a trip to Sequoiah National Park in California.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents,&nbsp;Dorrance and Evelyn; father-in-law,&nbsp;Jerry Gull; nephew,&nbsp;Eric Arnold.&nbsp;

Harvey is survived by his wife,&nbsp;Jerri Lou of Cambridge; two&nbsp;sons,&nbsp;Travis and wife, Mary of Lakewood, CO; Chris and wife, Sarah of Grinnell, IA; one grandchild,&nbsp;Patch Arnold; two&nbsp;step-grandchildren,&nbsp;Izzy Valenti and Sof Valenti; brother,&nbsp;Marvin and wife, Pam of Farnam; mother-in-law,&nbsp;Bettie Gull of McCook; in-laws,&nbsp; Pam and Joe Schilz,&nbsp;Charlie and Diane Gull,&nbsp;Toni and Bill Gerver, all of McCook, NE; his beloved Golden Retriever,&nbsp;Pooh Bear.

Harvey N Arnold (1950-2022)

David “Noizy” Earnest Broeder, 67, passed away on November 5, 2022, at Centennial Park Retirement Village, surrounded by his family.&nbsp; He was born to Earl and Louise (Hackler) Broeder on September 17, 1955 in North Platte.

Noizy grew up in North Platte, but attended the University School for the Deaf in Omaha, graduating in 1973.&nbsp; On February 15, 2002, he married Armita Herder, whom he had known since his childhood.&nbsp; To this union, Noizy welcomed two step-children, Trista and Devin.&nbsp; He was an incredibly hard worker, having worked for Schultz Construction, the parks department, and most recently, for Steele’s Construction.

Noizy enjoyed fishing and loved Harley motorcycles, often taking trips to Sturgis. He was known for being ornery and playing pranks because he relished in making people smile.&nbsp; Noizy cherished every moment he spent with his family, his friends, and his cats.&nbsp; Despite being deaf, no one was a stranger to him.&nbsp; He always carried a pen and pad as a way to communicate with anyone and everyone he crossed paths with.&nbsp; Noizy never let his disability hold him back from doing the things he loved.

Those left to celebrate Noizy’s life include his wife, Armita; mother, Louise Broeder; siblings, Steve (Jackie) Broeder, Tim (Sherry) Broeder, Don (Char) Broeder, Tom Broeder, Cathy Ludlow, Teresa (Terrell) Steuben, Elisa White, Danny (Tamara) Broeder, Jerry (Karen) Broeder, Trisha (Shawn) King; step-children, Trista Herder and Devin Little; 4 step-grandkids, a step-great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Preceding him in death are his father, Earl; grandparents, Earnest and Fern Hackler; uncle, Bernie Hackler; uncle, Stan Van Cleave;&nbsp;nephew, James Daniel; great niece, Makayla Larsen; brother-in-law Edward White; sister-in-law, Becky Broeder.

The family appreciates memorials given to the donor’s choice of motorcycle club to assist them in purchasing gifts for children at Christmas time.

Gloria I. Burke, 89, of North Platte, NE passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Linden Court.

Gloria was born on August 31, 1933 in Curtis, NE the daughter of Winfred “Bud” and Georgia (Nichols) Easton.&nbsp; Gloria grew up in Curtis and graduated from the Curtis School of Agriculture where she would meet her future husband, Charles Burke.&nbsp; She married Charles Burke in 1951 in Curtis and together they had 5 children.&nbsp; Gloria was a hardworking and dedicated mother and was known for her wonderful cooking.&nbsp; She worked for various businesses over the years including 6th&nbsp;Street in North Platte, shoe sales and bookkeeping at a bank while living in Lincoln, and later upon moving back to North Platte as bookkeeper of her and her husband’s mobile home business.&nbsp; She also enjoyed running a local motel and numerous rental properties.&nbsp; She was an animal lover, especially cats.

Those left to cherish Gloria’s memory are her children Cindy Douglas (Mike) of Mt. Vernon, IA; John Burke (Pam) of North Platte, Fred Burke (Sherrie) of North Platte, Joe Burke of North Platte, and Angie Hornyak (Ron) of Sutherland; grandchildren, Mike Douglas, Jr. (Melissa), Tiffani Douglas (fiancée Denton Williams), Melanie Burke-Marshall (Terry Bates), Jay Burke, Sara Bolser (Nate), Eric Joseph Burke, Josh Houchin, Rachel Burke, Amanda Streeter (Mike), Nichole Hornyak (Colter Johnson), Stephanie Hornyak (Keith Morris); 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Eileen Merrihew of North Platte.

Erika Marie Ramsdell was born February 5, 2014, in Grand Island, NE to Tabitha (Ramsdell) Lichtenberger. Erika lived in Broken Bow and attended Broken Bow Public Schools through the third grade.

Genevieve "Jackie" M. Garska, 93, longtime Ogallala resident, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022 at Green House at Mirasol in Loveland, CO.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Jackie was born on April 15, 1929 in Perkins County, the daughter of Fred and Hazel (Peak) Fosbinder. She received her education in Perkins County. After graduation, she received her teaching certificate from Kearney Teachers College. She taught kindergarten through eighth grade in rural Perkins County. On January 12, 1948 Jackie married Max Garska in Grant, NE. They lived in the old Grainton Bank building while managing the Grainton Gas Station. Their next home was located on an acreage between Madrid and Elsie, where they raised chickens and cattle. After moving to Ogallala, she was employed at the Ogallala School Cafeteria and was a secretary for the First United Methodist Church. After receiving her real estate sales license, she worked for Cobb Reality until her retirement. Jackie loved spending time at their cabin on Lake McConaughy with family and lifelong friends, Dick and Shirley Sherich. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Ogallala. &nbsp; Jackie is survived by two daughters; Kathleen (David) Rollstin, Loveland Co, and Deborah Garska, Evans CO. A sister-in-law Janie Garska, Ogallala. Five granddaughters; Karrie Knapp, Hernando, FL, Katie (Rob) Fuller, Minot ND, Jessie Rollstin, Denver Co, Arian Campbell and Brandon McIntosh, Denver Co, Amber (Bobby) Alvarado, Longmont CO. Jackie Garska (1929-2022)

Violet “Vee” Viola (Kraft) Griffiths, 94, passed away at the Great Plains Medical Center on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Her two surviving children at the time of her death were in attendance.

Vee was born on July 7, 1928, at her family’s home in Grainton, Nebraska. She was the third of eight children born to Peter and Lucille (Nestor) Kraft.

She married William Frederick Griffiths on October 26, 1946 in Oberlin, Kansas. Vee and Willie lived in Dickens and north Hayes County during the early years of their marriage. They moved to Wallace, Nebraska in 1959 where Vee lived until recent years when she moved to the Centennial Assisted Living Facility in North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; Vee's husband preceded her in death.

Vee and Willie raised three children. Gary William Griffiths resides in Brighton, Colorado. Dale Lee Griffiths (married to Sharon) lived in Coppell, Texas and passed away in 2020. Joan Marie Payton (married to Andrew) resides in Bakersfield, California.

Vee loved not only her own children dearly but all children. She worked for the Wallace Public School District for 40 years in various positions: child care, a bus driver, a dish washer, and as a teacher's assistant. She often commented on enjoying the camaraderie with fellow school employees and watching the children of the community grow.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Wallace Methodist Church with Pastor Shanon Williams officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in Morning View Cemetery in Wallace. Kevin George Peck passed away on November 4, 2022 at the age of 70 in the comfort of his home in Gothenburg, NE.

Kevin was born on January 18, 1952 in Beccles, England to Wilfred and Muriel Peck. Growing up, Kevin would recall being a mischievous child who was constantly in trouble. After he aged a few years, he lived the "rocker" lifestyle when he developed what would be a lifelong love for English motorcycles. After graduating high school, Kevin entered a college exchange program that brought him to the United States. He graduated from the University of Minnesota. After college, he moved to Dalhart, Texas, where he was able to live his "American Dream" on a ranch and being a cowboy. Kevin met the love of his life, Loretta, in Hereford, Texas and spent a wonderful 29 years together. Their relationship gained him two daughters who he cherished. He later became what his grandkids would describe as a cool granddad. Kevin worked in the agriculture industry, a career spanning over 50 years which included the companies Terra, Cargill, Country Partners Coop, Monsanto, Bayer, managing a hydroponic tomato plant and helping Chad Kuhlman with harvest. He gained many colleagues and friends along the way who liked and respected him a great deal. With his old English sarcastic humor, Kevin made sure the laughs never ceased. He would often recite lines from the classics of Monty Python and Beavis and Butthead. Kevin filled his time with activities that involved bird watching, wild flowers, motorcycles, farming and crossword puzzles. He was a man that possessed great wisdom and always had a thirst for more knowledge. Kevin will always be remembered as a confidant, a guy who always had your back, a super cool guy and a great husband, father and friend. "Geek" will forever be missed.

Kevin is survived by his daughters, Misty (Trent) Schlake of Gothenburg, NE; and Nikki (Clint) of Shelton of Pampa, TX. He has four amazing grandkids, Bryn and Austin Schlake, Aly Tatarevich and Summer (Laketon) Harris. He is also survived by his siblings in England, Mick (Jill) Peck, Marion (Neil) Hammond, Alison Peck&nbsp;and Stephen (Rosie) Peck along with nieces, nephews and great nieces. Kevin was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Loretta and his parents, Wilfred and Muriel Peck.

He has four amazing grandkids, Bryn and Austin Schlake, Aly Tatarevich and Summer (Laketon) Harris. He is also survived by his siblings in England, Mick (Jill) Peck, Marion (Neil) Hammond, Alison Peck&nbsp;and Stephen (Rosie) Peck along with nieces, nephews and great nieces. Kevin was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Loretta and his parents, Wilfred and Muriel Peck.A Register book signing will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 1:00-7:00 PM, with family present from 5:00-7:00 PM, at Blase Strauser Memorial Chapel. A memorial will be held for Kevin in England at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Rowe Sanctuary in Gibbon, NE.

Kevin Peck (1952-2022)

&nbsp; James Lantis, age 77, of Sutherland, NE, was surrounded by his family when he passed away at home on November 5, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. James, the son of Charles and Vivian (Wilson) Lantis, was born November 10, 1944, in Cleveland, KS.&nbsp; As a boy, his family moved to a farm on the Birdwood Table, north of Hershey, NE.&nbsp; He attended Birdwood Country School then graduated from North Platte High School in 1962.&nbsp; Jim attended Scottsbluff Junior College before graduating with his B.A. Degree from Doane College.&nbsp; He went on to teach 8th grade social studies and American history to high school students, and was head wrestling coach and an assistant football coach at Waverly. Jim met his future wife, Sharon Borgelt, in Lincoln and they were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island in 1970.&nbsp; They moved to Hershey in '73 to farm with his father.&nbsp; After their first child, Randy, was born, they moved to the Cairo/Wood River area and that is where Deb and Bob were born. Jim became a sales rep for Walnut Grove Feed and raised hogs until 1985 when the family moved to Hastings where he worked as an insurance agent for Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL).&nbsp; Jim later became self-employed and formed his own company, J.L. Enterprises, and sold feed, livestock equipment and crematories to veterinarians.&nbsp; In 1996, they moved to Sutherland where Jim continued selling livestock equipment and animal crematories and made many friendships with the farmers and ranchers in the Sandhills.&nbsp; He sold the business to his son, Bob, in 2015. After retiring, Jim started a pet cremation business, J.L. Pet Cremation, and drove a bus for Hershey Public Schools. Jim was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1972. He served as past president of Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings and Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in North Platte, where he was currently a member.&nbsp; Jim was also president of Gift of Hope Cancer Foundation until he recently stepped down due to ill health. Jim and Sharon enjoyed traveling and had visited Italy, Germany, France and many states in the U.S.&nbsp; He liked playing cards, was an avid Husker fan, and enjoyed having the grandkids over to ride the golf cart with him.&nbsp; Jim wanted everyone to know that people who cared about animals cared for people as well. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vivian Lantis; in-laws, Lawrence and Florence Borgelt; and brothers, George and John Lantis. Jim is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Randy (Denise) Lantis of Sutherland, Deb (Tim) Linscott of Fairbury and Bob (Jenny) Lantis of North Platte; eight grandchildren, KayLynn Lantis, Jake (Malorie) Lantis, Gracia Lantis, Lexi Lantis, Whitley Lantis, Adaline Linscott, Olivia Linscott and Elijah Linscott; his brother, Vernon (Connie) Lantis of Kearney; sister-in-law, Jannette Lantis of Hershey; and brother-in-law, Rev. Larry (Cathy) Borgelt of Surprise, AZ; as well as other family. James Lantis (1944-2022)

Nina Louise (Scott) Clark was born January 3, 1943, to Rev. and Mrs. David Scott in Sutherland, Nebraska. In her childhood she lived in United Methodist Parsonages in Paxton, Hay Springs, Lewellen, Loup City (Kindergarten to 2nd grade), Merna (3rd&nbsp;to 5th&nbsp;grades), Bayard (6th&nbsp;and 7th&nbsp;grades), a trailer house in her sister Martha's yard (8th&nbsp;grade), parsonage in Callaway (9th&nbsp;grade), and a trailer house in Mullen on her Grandparent's yard (10th&nbsp;to 12th&nbsp;grades).

Following her graduation for Mullen High School she attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska.&nbsp; Two years later she transferred to the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri. Two years later she graduated and went to work in Kansas City as a Dental Hygienist. A short time later and she was a member of the clinical staff of the School of Dentistry at the University of Missouri. Shortly after arriving in Kansas City, she met Kenneth W. Clark in a Young Adult Sunday School class at the Central United Methodist Church. Ken was a student at the St. Paul School of Theology, Methodist. Just before Christmas in 1963 they became engaged. One year later, December 20, 1964, Nina's father officiated at their wedding. Following Ken's graduation they moved to Springville, California where Ken served the United Methodist Church. Two years later they moved to Shafter, California. Three years later they moved to Visalia. From there they moved to Mullen where they moved into Nina's Grandparent's house. While in Springville their son Timothy Alan was born. While in Shafter they adopted their daughter Janet. They currently have six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Nina was an accomplished musician. She began playing the piano and later the organ. She played for activities and church services at the Mullen Methodist Church while in high school. She played clarinet in the Mullen High School Band. While living in Visalia she became a member of the church Bell Choir, an activity she dearly loved.

Nina is survived by her husband Ken of Mullen, son Timothy Allan Clark of Visalia, CA, daughter Janet (Larry) Macedo of Oakdale, CA, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Nina was preceded in death by her parents David and Zelma (Barnebey) Scott, sisters Annabelle, and Martha.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 10:30 am MT at the Sandhills Community Bible Church in Mullen, NE with Pastor Bob Teters officiating. Burial will be in the Cedarview Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hope Coffee Missions of Texas. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm MT at the Mullen Funeral Home in Mullen, Govier Brothers Mortuary of Mullen are in charge of arrangements.
