Kelly Lee Daniel, age 58, peacefully passed away at Kearney Regional Medical Center on Thursday, February 18, 2021. As her spirit left her earthly body, she was surrounded by her 3 daughters and listening to some of her favorite music.&nbsp;

Kelly was born to Lee and June Daniel on July 16, 1962, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Kelly enjoyed going on family camping trips as a child. She enjoyed many a summer and Christmas trip to Stillwater to visit relatives. Kelly was always one of the first in line to sample the ice cream on the paddle her dad pulled out of the old-fashioned ice creamer freezer. Kelly and her sister, Kasey, enjoyed watching the tv show Mork and Mindy and laughing so hard they cried. She showed off her athletic talents on the volleyball and softball teams. Kelly graduated from Arapahoe High School in Littleton, Colorado in 1980 and joined the workforce.&nbsp;

In 1989, Kelly married her first husband. From this union, she gained 4 wonderful stepchildren and brought into this world 3 daughters, whom she loved so much. For 17 years she stayed at home to nurture and care for her daughters. Kelly, her husband, and their 3 daughters moved to Broken Bow, NE in March of 2001. In 2006 she went to work at Jack and Jill (later Schmick’s Market, then Gary’s Super Foods) and worked various other jobs at the same time such as housekeeping at Big 12 Motel, a cook at Custer Elementary, and housekeeping at JMMMC. It was at her cashier job that she would meet the love of her life, Vern Mobley. Kelly and Vern began dating in 2012 and were married on April 25, 2019. From this union, Kelly gained 3 more wonderful stepchildren. January of 2020, Kelly retired from the workforce to stay home with Vern and spend more time with her children and grandchildren.&nbsp;

Kelly had a kind, hippie soul - and it was reflected in the compassionate care that she gave to her family, friends, and customers at her jobs. She loved classic rock, things that smelled “blue,” 80’s music, tie-dye, the mountains, Eskimo Joe’s, the CU Buffaloes, making other people smile, and her friends and family. Kelly loved to sing and dance in the car during road trips and would often laugh so hard that she would end up crying.&nbsp;

Kelly was preceded in death by her father, Lee Daniel, an infant grandbaby, and many friends and beloved pets.

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Margie Elizabeth Lorance Kitt Shackelford, age 99, of Austin, Texas, passed from this life on February 25, 2021. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Margie was born on February 7, 1922, the fourth daughter of Edith B. Burk Lorance and Cloid Albert Lorance in Dundy County, Nebraska. She graduated from Wauneta High School in 1939, and after the United States entry into World War II she moved to San Diego, California to work in an airplane assembly factory until the end of the war. Years later she joined the American Rosie the Riveter Association, an organization that recognized women’s contribution to the war effort. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Following the end of the war, she returned to Nebraska where she was united in marriage with John Junior Kitt, who had been honorably discharged from his service in the war in Europe. The marriage occurred on November 25, 1945, at Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Dundy County, Nebraska. They moved fourteen miles south of Wauneta, Nebraska on the South Divide to begin their married life. Their union was blessed December 4, 1946, with the birth of twin daughters, Karrol Ann and Jerolyn Elaine, and on March 25, 1948, with the birth of their son John Lorance Kitt. The marriage ended after 46 years with the death of John Junior Kitt. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Margie was remarried on May 1, 1998 to Cliff Shackelford of Wauneta, Nebraska. They were married for sixteen years, spending six months in Nebraska and six months in Arizona. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Margie had a smile and friendly "Hello" to all she met and continued to have her friendly disposition all of her life. She loved being outdoors, working in her garden, grooming the yard and "getting rid of those dandelions". Margie rejoiced in sharing her garden produce with friends, relatives and neighbors. During the child rearing years, Margie was a 4-H Club Leader, taught Vacation Bible School, served as a Methodist Youth Fellowship sponsor and taught adult Bible Study. She shared her beautiful Alto voice in the Methodist Church Choir for 60 years, and taught her children to sing. Singing was a family event - at church, in the car when traveling and at home. Traveling was another joy for Margie. She traveled to&nbsp; most of the USA states during her lifetime. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Margie is survived by twin daughters, Karrol Kitt and Jerolyn Spady (Ken), and her son, John L Kitt (Cyndia), 6 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and sister Lois West. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Erma Kitt and Eunice Crow, husbands John Junior Kitt and Cliff Shackelford, and grandson Loren C Ramshur III. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Graveside services will be held Friday Morning, March 5, 2021, 11:00 A.M. Margie Elizabeth Lorance Kitt Shackelford  (1922-2021)

Paige M. Teets, age 65 of North Platte, Nebraska peacefully and victoriously entered the Kingdom of Heaven on February 23, 2021 surrounded by his wife and two sons.

Paige was born August 10, 1955 to James and Bernice (Jobman) Teets in Gothenburg, Nebraska. On September 2nd, 1977 he married his soulmate and love of his life, Gale Teets. They were blessed with two sons, Jason Paige Teets and Andrew Charles Teets.

It’s impossible to describe a beautiful soul as Paige in one paragraph. Paige was a man of integrity and principles. He was a devoted and loving husband, a father who lived by example, a beyond amazing grandfather, a sedulous employee, a friend to all, and a man who truly loved Jesus, giving thanks each day for his abundance of blessings. His smile, so infectious...illuminating the transparency of his kindness. Paige was humble and courageous, never complaining. He was honest, living each day by the phrase “You never have to worry about remembering the truth”. His love for his family was evident, as he attempted to shield them from heartache as he took his last earthly breath.

Paige was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles Teets and Scott Teets, and his father-in-law Larry Shindle.

Paige is survived by his wife, Gale Teets of North Platte, NE; sons Jason Teets of Fort Worth, Tx and Andrew (Jennifer) Teets of North Platte, NE;&nbsp; grandchildren Peytan, Christian, Rian, Nolan, Katie, Easton, and Evie, brother Marc (Mary) Teets of Fort Collins, CO; mother-in-law Delores Highberger; special cousins Keith (Gail) Fickenscher and Kristy (Charlie) McCoy; his faithful four legged “kids” Hannah and Baxter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of dear friends.

Paige M. Teets  (1955-2021)

Terry Dunlap, age 78, of North Platte, NE passed away on February 25, 2021 at Great Plains Health.

He was born on January 23, 1943 in Omaha, NE to Roy and Gladys Hargis. He was placed in Nebraska Children’s Home and at age four he was adopted in 1948 by Leo and Mary Dunlap, then taken to Harrison, NE in the panhandle and raised on the ranch north of town.

Terry graduated from Sioux County High School with the class of 1961. He entered the United States Army in September 1961, serving 3 years and 30 months in Germany, returning in 1964.

He worked various jobs welding. In December 1969, Terry met Janet Hastings and he immediately fell in love with her and her cooking. They were married on November 28, 1970 at the Grainton United Methodist Church, recently celebrating 50 years of marriage. With this union 3 children were born: Rebecca, Rachel and Allan.

Terry was hired onto the Union Pacific Railroad in May of 1976 and worked there for 30 years as a Boilermaker. He retired in January 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Mary Dunlap; sister, Anne Quintand; in-laws, Marven and Bernadine Hastings; and grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters, Rebecca (Matt) Morton, Rachel (Dave) Smith; son, Allan (Dulce) Dunlap; grandchildren, Gabe, Ethan, Abby, James and Caitlin Morton and Hannah and Parker Smith; his brother, Jerry (Lovilla) Dunlap and sister, Ina Glaubius.

A funeral service will be 1:00p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Reverend Dr. Douglas Delp officiating. Burial will be 3:00 p.m. central time and 2:00 p.m. mountain time at the Elsie Cemetery in Elsie, NE with Full Military Honors. Terry Albert Dunlap  (1943-2021)

Keith Maynard Shirk, age 89, of North Platte, Nebraska died on February 25, 2021 at Great Plains Health in North Platte.&nbsp; He was born on October 27, 1931 to Reuben and Rosie (Durner) Shirk.

He graduated from Curtis, Nebraska with the Class of 1949.&nbsp; A few years after graduating, Keith entered the U.S. Army and served from July 1953 to May 28, 1955.&nbsp; He married Judy Chapin on November 6, 1960 at the Arnold Methodist Church in Arnold, Nebraska.&nbsp; To this union two children were born:&nbsp; Kenda and Stephan.

After his discharge from the Army, he went to school in Omaha, Nebraska and worked for Western Electric.&nbsp; In 1958, Keith moved back to North Platte and worked for Field Birge Lumber Company for 3 years.&nbsp; He also sold MoorMan Feed to farmers and ranchers for around 30 years.&nbsp; When he retired from the feed sales, he started Keith Shirk Sales, selling baling twine and net wrap until 2015.

Keith was a former member of the American Legion, the Lincoln County Feeder &amp; Ranchers, West Central Pork Producers, The Elks Club, and a current member of the Eagles Club.

He enjoyed camping with family and friends, fishing and playing shuffle board while wintering in Apache Junction, Arizona.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Melvin McMichael; and his mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Charles Chapin.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy; his children, Kenda &amp; her husband, Eric Pollock, and Stephan &amp; his significant other, Becky Parker; two grandchildren, Matthew &amp; his wife, Leanna, and Miranda &amp; her husband, Josh Lowery; a great grandchild, Colt, and another one on the way; three nieces, Deb, Kathy, and Peg; along with numerous other family members and friends.

William Rex Danbom, age 86, of Curtis, Nebraska, died February 21, 2021 in North Platte, Nebraska from complications of Covid-19.&nbsp;&nbsp;

He was born October 30, 1934 in Hemingford, Nebraska.

Bill served his country in the US Navy from January 1955-December 1958.&nbsp; He managed Ship Service on the USS Altair (a cargo ship) and the USS Elokomin (an oil tanker).&nbsp; Following the service he completed one year at Milford Community College before starting his 32 year career in auto body repair.&nbsp; Later he worked for Maywood Farmers Coop for 11 years in the fertilizer department.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Prior to his retirement in 2001 he had taken up the woodworking hobby of Intarsia which he continued until his death.&nbsp; Intarsia is a craft of precision and artistry and anyone who has one of Bill’s pieces in their home has a work of art. Bill will also be remembered for his love of card tricks and always carried his decks with him. Bill was a member of the Lions Club for 38 years.

Preceded in death by wife Margaret Danbom, parents Milton and Grace Danbom, sister Norma Saling, half-brother Loren Toohey.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Aurella (Ringenberg) Heine, age 95, of Topeka, Kansas, formery of Lexington, Nebraska, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at her McCrite Plaza home. She was born January 25, 1926 in Eustis, Nebraska&nbsp; to William J. and Olga B. (Lohmeyer Werth) Ringenberg.

In 1947, she married Gilbert R. Heine at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lexington, NE. 

Preceding her in death are her husband, her only son, William, a brother Willard, and a nephew, Steven.

Survivors include her daughter Kathleen (Dennis) Hintz, daughter-in-law Melinda Heine, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brother Herbert (Evelyn) Ringenberg, and sister-in-law, Shirley Heine.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Topeka, KS.

Mary Esther Bennett, age 78, a longtime resident and business owner in McCook, Nebraska passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at Community Hospital in McCook.&nbsp; She was born to James and Margie (Bogart) Plotts on August 26, 1942 in Oberlin, Kansas.&nbsp; She attended school in Oberlin and graduated with the class of 1960.

Mary married Butch Curl in May of 1960 at the Assembly of God Church in McCook.&nbsp; To this union two sons were born, Burke and Kurke.&nbsp; The family made their home in McCook where Mary worked as a bookkeeper at the Grainger Food Warehouse and at the KICX Radio Station.&nbsp; In 1971 the family moved to Elm Creek, Nebraska where Mary attended Kearney LPN School in Kearney, Nebraska.&nbsp; In 1973 they returned to McCook where Mary worked at St. Catherine’s Hospital and for Dr. Dickenson.&nbsp; In 1980 Mary made her final career change when she attended cosmetology school in McCook and opened her own business, Four Seasons Hair Salon, she operated the salon for 40 years.&nbsp;

In 2001 Mary was united in marriage to Roger Bennett in Stockville, Nebraska.&nbsp; The couple enjoyed boating together at the Medicine Creek State Recreation area.&nbsp; They also bread, raised, and cared for Quarter Horses, having as many as 28 at one time.&nbsp; Mary loved animals; she shared this passion with others by also breeding and caring for Corgi puppies with Roger.

Mary was a talented musician and singer.&nbsp; She was the lead vocalist for Stanley Anderson and the Sundowners when she was younger.&nbsp; Even though she never learned to read music, Mary was still able to play any instrument that she laid her hands on.&nbsp; She also enjoyed oil painting, mostly landscapes and wildlife scenes.&nbsp; Many of her pieces were used to decorate local business offices in McCook and two were chosen as Habitat Stamps by the state of Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She will be fondly remembered by her husband, Roger Bennett of McCook; sons, Burke (Lora Childers) Curl and Kurke (Anissa) Curl both of McCook; stepchildren, Shannon (Kelly) Bennett of Elwood, Nebraska and Brenda (Blaine) Biehl of Cozad, Nebraska; grandsons: Jake (Kali) Curl, Zac (Trista) Curl, Nic (River) Curl all of McCook, Luke (Hannah) Curl of Wauneta, Nebraska, and Cauy Bennett of Elwood; great-grandchildren: Landon, Kinlee, and Adelynn Curl; and brother Jim (Carolyn) Plotts of Norcatur, Kansas.

Gary Lee Bell, age 78, of Brady, Nebraska went home on February 24, 2021 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska surrounded by his family. He was born on September 12, 1942 to James and Leta (Kesterson) Bell at North Platte.

He graduated from Hershey High School with the class of 1961. After graduating, he entered the U.S. Navy on September 26, 1961 and served until he was honorably discharged on January 20, 1966. After serving, he worked in the plumbing industry for 30 years where he became a master plumber. He worked numerous other jobs and retired after 20 years of driving school buses for Brady Public School, which he really enjoyed.&nbsp;

Gary was united in marriage to Carol Kohl on December 26, 1963 and to this union 4 children were born: Tracy, Judy, Christine, and Shary. In 1978, he married Janeth Meyer and was blessed with two more children: Keely and Kasey. In 2009, Gary married Carol again.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brady, NE and the Wood Carvers Club of North Platte, NE. He was a former Boy Scout Leader for the The Boy Scouts of America in Gothenburg, NE. He enjoyed carving and woodworking, camping, attending auctions, but most importantly he loved his family.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Erroll and Myrna Kohl; daughter, Judy Griffiths; second wife, Janeth; brothers, James, Don, Bob, and Bill; and sister, Alice Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, Tracy and Kasey (Jackie); daughters, Christine (Kevin), Shary (Lafe), and Keely (Gene); grandchildren, Nathan, Keith, Megan, Jack, Jennifer, Jim, Christopher, Liz, Tish, Josh, Dalton, Tailer, Tre, Rebekah, Rachel, Joseph, Jacob, Kyle, and Lindsey; many great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; and numerous other family members.

Gary Lee Bell  (1942-2021)

Lore Mehrer Loshonkohl of Cozad, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Emerald Care Center in Cozad at the age of 88. Lore was born September 28, 1932 in Flein, Germany to Robert and Lena Mehrer.

Lore was baptized and confirmed in Flein Evangelishe Kirche. She graduated from school in Flein, Germany. Lore met Roy Loshonkohl from Cozad while he was stationed in Heilbronn, Germany. Roy was serving in the U.S. Army in Heilbronn and met the loves of his life, Lore, Reimund and Monika. Lore, Reimund and Monika came to the United States on the SS America Ship. Roy and Lore celebrated two weddings, one in Germany before leaving Europe and another one on September 25, 1961 in Cozad, Nebraska. From this union, three more children were born, Michelle, Marianne and Alfred.

Roy and Lore attended Lonestar Cowboy Church in Farnam, Nebraska.

Providing for her family and taking good care of them was very important to Lore. Lore worked at F &amp; S Sausage Company in Cozad. She also cooked at Southview Manor and later the Diagnostic Research Center. She worked at Sperry New Holland in Lexington, Nebraska, drove a silage truck and cleaned numerous houses in the Cozad area. Lore always had a big garden, and she and her family made the famous Loshonkohl sauerkraut and horseradish every year. Lore was a hard worker.

Lore always enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved the children so much! Lore liked to cook and to share homemade goods with others. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and embroidering. Each grandchild was gifted a handmade afghan made with lots of love from Oma.

Lore is survived by daughters, Monika (Verl) Jurjens and Michelle (Kim) Lehmann, and daughter-in-law Jean (Reimund) Loshonkohl of Eustis, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Ryan (Helen) Jurjens, Mike (Jill) Loshonkohl, Lindsey (Dallas) Farr, Kristen (Greg) Richey, Shelby (John) Uhrich, Jennifer (Simson) Wang, Jessika (Cody) Klingelhoefer, Jeff (Katie) Loshonkohl and 23 great-grandchildren, Emilee, Rylee, Josie, Luke, Jake, Kohl, Mark, Camden, Averie, Brynn, Cale, Shelby, Haydn, Blayklee, Maddyn, Cashtyn, Creighton Conrad, Cori, Trevor, Tyson, Kiptyn, and Rhett; sister-in-laws, Betty Collicott of Elwood and Lois (Chuck) Gregory of Holdrege.

 </figure>Lore Mehrer Loshonkohl of Cozad, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Emerald Care Center in Cozad at the age of 88. Lore was born September 28, 1932 in Flein, Germany to Robert and Lena Mehrer.Lore was baptized and confirmed in Flein Evangelishe Kirche. She graduated from school in Flein, Germany. Lore met Roy Loshonkohl from Cozad while he was stationed in Heilbronn, Germany. Roy was serving in the U.S. Army in Heilbronn and met the loves of his life, Lore, Reimund and Monika. Lore, Reimund and Monika came to the United States on the SS America Ship. Roy and Lore celebrated two weddings, one in Germany before leaving Europe and another one on September 25, 1961 in Cozad, Nebraska. From this union, three more children were born, Michelle, Marianne and Alfred.Roy and Lore attended Lonestar Cowboy Church in Farnam, Nebraska.Providing for her family and taking good care of them was very important to Lore. Lore worked at F &amp; S Sausage Company in Cozad. She also cooked at Southview Manor and later the Diagnostic Research Center. She worked at Sperry New Holland in Lexington, Nebraska, drove a silage truck and cleaned numerous houses in the Cozad area. Lore always had a big garden, and she and her family made the famous Loshonkohl sauerkraut and horseradish every year. Lore was a hard worker.Lore always enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved the children so much! Lore liked to cook and to share homemade goods with others. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and embroidering. Lore Mehrer Loshonkohl  (1932-2021)

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Jeniene Marie Lashley, age 81, of Culbertson, Nebraska passed away at home with her husband, Larry, daughter, Paula, and granddaughter, Emma, at her side. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Jeniene was born to Griff and Joy Weskamp of McCook, Nebraska on October 14, 1939.&nbsp; Growing up, Jeniene was involved in 4-H learning to sew and perfecting her baking skills.&nbsp; She won the blue ribbon for her amazingly delicious cherry pie.&nbsp; Jeniene also participated in volleyball and pep squad.&nbsp; She graduated from Red Willow High School.&nbsp; In the year of 1957, she moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where she lived with Uncle Ernie and Aunt Marge Weskamp.&nbsp; She graduated from Blair Business College. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;In the summer of 1958, she was married to her high school sweetheart, Larry Lashley.&nbsp; They moved to Texas while Larry was in the Armed Services.&nbsp; They were also blessed with the first child, Rene.&nbsp; After basic training was complete, they moved to Colorado Springs, CO and were blessed with their youngest daughter, Paula.&nbsp; In 1968, they began their very successful business in the housing construction industry.&nbsp; It was a 30-year adventure culminating in buying farmland in the Stratton and Culbertson, Nebraska area and retiring there. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Larry and Jeniene enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas, Nevada.&nbsp; She enjoyed the blackjack tables.&nbsp; They enjoyed 62 years of marriage. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Jeniene is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Renee and husband, Joe Bajza; daughter, Paula Matson; seven grandkids: Brandon Wheeler, Paula and Chris Funk, Joe L. and Kirstie Bajza, and Lena-joy Bajza, and Griff, Emma, and Chase Mattson; Jeniend also has ten great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lonnie (Barb) Weskamp of Denver, Colorado. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Jeniene was a good friend, an awesome wife, mom and grandma.&nbsp; We will miss her. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon, February 28, 2021 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook, Nebraska. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning, March 1, 2021 at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook, Nebraska with Pastors Jeff Kelley and Merwin Bolles officiating.&nbsp; Interment will follow the services at Prairie Garden Cemetery north of McCook.

Jeniene Marie Lashley  (1939-2021)

Alvin Walter Campbell, age 98, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Thursday February 11, 2021 at Springfield Mercy Hospital.

Alvin was Born on September 28, 1922 to William A. and Maude (Miller) Campbell in North Platte, NE. He was the 6th&nbsp;of 8 children. He attended North Platte High School where he met his first wife, Leona (Miller). He began working for the Union Pacific Railroad in December of 1940 as a Machinist Helper and Machinist until he joined the Navy in November of 1943.

Al was stationed in the South Pacific during WW-II serving aboard an LSM-21 troop carrier during the island campaigns. He returned home in 1944 and continued his work at the Railroad. He became a roundhouse foreman and later was promoted to District Foreman transferring to Omaha, NE. He then became a Master Mechanic and Mechanical Superintendent – West transferring to Pocatello, ID and Salt Lake City, UT. His mechanical responsibilities included the Western half of the old Union Pacific System extending South from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas and Los Angeles and North from Salt Lake to Portland and Seattle.

During that time, he met his 2nd&nbsp;wife, Evelyn Summers, who was working for the telephone company in North Platte. He married Evelyn (who he called “Ralph”) in 1968. Al and Ralph retired from the railroad in 1981 and moved from Salt Lake City to Sun City West, AZ, then moving on to Rogers, AR and eventually to Springfield, MO.

Al was a 70+ year Mason and a member of the North Platte Chapter. He was also a member of the North Platte Elks Club. Al had a great sense of humor and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his acquaintances, friends, neighbors, and relatives.

He especially liked his Lunch and Supper outings in Springfield wearing his special Navy hat and the restaurant patrons thanking him for his Military service- often picking up the check for his meal.

Al is survived by his children, Tom (Joyce) Campbell of Saint Louis, MO, Kevin (Maggie) Summers, and Kathy (Dave) Perry of Essex, IA.&nbsp; Al has 13 grandchildren including Damon (Lori) Campbell of Omaha, NE, Jamie (Scott) Webster of Hood River, OR, James (Michele) Frisella of Saint Louis, MO, Teresa (Eric) Kunst of Saint Louis, Anika (Taylor) O’Connell of Omaha, NE, Brandon (Kari) Summers of Omaha, and Adam Pacheco of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. He has 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Alvin is also survived by a sister, Lela Aboe of Grants Pass, OR and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Evelyn; a grandson Alex Pacheco, a nephew, Billy Everley; and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Viola (George) Halsey, Evelyn (Earnest) Johnson, Helen (Earl) West, Kathryn (Howard) Everley, Dorothy (Jack) Davis, Betty (Bill) Strauss and brother-in-law, Dean Aboe.

Al will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his Little Buddy, Meko. Alvin Walter Campbell  (1922-2021)

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Konnie Lynne Wolfenden-Hodges, age 53, of Torrington, Wyoming died on February 24, 2021 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska surrounded by her family. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She was born on May 5, 1967 to Robert and Karen (Daniels) Wolfenden in Mullen, Nebraska.&nbsp; Konnie was the middle child of three girls.&nbsp; Konnie attended all of her years of school in Mullen and later graduated from Joseph's Beauty School in North Platte, Nebraska. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She married Clinton Hodges on May 4, 1996 in North Platte.&nbsp; They were married for 17 years and had one child, Colton Robert Hodges. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Konnie was a very talented Cosmetologist for 34 years and was well known in the community for her skills, especially coloring hair.&nbsp; She had a very large clientele and if you were one of her clients, you knew you were going to have to book way in advance.&nbsp; She took great pride in helping people feel food about themselves through the art of hair and fashion.&nbsp; She co-owned THISTLE &amp; Feather Boutique and was really in her element any time she could style a customer.&nbsp; When customers came into the booth they were instantaneously in love with her infectious personality and smile.&nbsp; She was loved by so many!! &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Konnie had many roles, but her favorite was being a proud mom to Colton.&nbsp; She enjoyed her time watching Colton participate in many activities throughout his years in school.&nbsp; People never had to question who she was cheering on at all of his sporting events and you could always count on her being decked out in the school colors from head to toe.&nbsp; One of her most proud moments was watching her son graduated from high school.&nbsp; She always knew he would do big things and has always been proud of the man she raised.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Other roles she loved were being a sister and aunt.&nbsp; She loved being the middle sister and was always so happy to have any quality time she could with her sisters, Kaylen and Kellie.&nbsp; Although she was the middle one, she would never hesitate with telling people she was the youngest.&nbsp; She also was proud aunt to her nieces and nephews.&nbsp; She treated them all like they were her own and supported them in anything they were doing.&nbsp; She loved staying busy going to everyone's activities and cheering them on....the loudest! &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Konnie will be remembered as an amazing mom, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.&nbsp; She loved with her whole heart.&nbsp; She had an amazing strength to her and that was evident even in her last breath.&nbsp; She knew where her strength came from and never hesitated in sharing her testimony of the amazing grace of God. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Konnie was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Dale (Dappy) &amp; Fern (Grammy) Daniels and Warren &amp; Eunice Wolfenden; as well as many aunts and uncles. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She will be greatly missed and is survived by her son, Colton Robert; sisters Kaylen Wolfenden and Kellie Wolfenden-Barner; nieces and nephews, Linsei (Derrick), Lacelei, Laramei (Kaden), Kaydei, DJ, Braxten, and Aleiya; and a very special person she loved, Dave Bradley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Memorials are suggested to the family for Colton's college education.&nbsp; Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Harvest Christian Church in North Platte, Nebraska with Reverend Dean Boyer officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow at Cedarview Cemetery in Mullen, Nebraska. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Visitation will be held from noon - 4:00 p.m., with the family present from 2:0o - 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Adams &amp; Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte, Nebraska, which is in charge of arrangements.&nbsp; The service will be live-streamed on the Adams &amp; Swanson Facebook page for those unable to attend.

 </figure>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Konnie Lynne Wolfenden-Hodges, age 53, of Torrington, Wyoming died on February 24, 2021 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska surrounded by her family. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She was born on May 5, 1967 to Robert and Karen (Daniels) Wolfenden in Mullen, Nebraska.&nbsp; Konnie was the middle child of three girls.&nbsp; Konnie attended all of her years of school in Mullen and later graduated from Joseph's Beauty School in North Platte, Nebraska. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She married Clinton Hodges on May 4, 1996 in North Platte.&nbsp; They were married for 17 years and had one child, Colton Robert Hodges. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Konnie was a very talented Cosmetologist for 34 years and was well known in the community for her skills, especially coloring hair.&nbsp; She had a very large clientele and if you were one of her clients, you knew you were going to have to book way in advance.&nbsp; She took great pride in helping people feel food about themselves through the art of hair and fashion.&nbsp; She co-owned THISTLE &amp; Feather Boutique and was really in her element any time she could style a customer.&nbsp; When customers came into the booth they were instantaneously in love with her infectious personality and smile.&nbsp; She was loved by so many!! &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Konnie had many roles, but her favorite was being a proud mom to Colton.&nbsp; She enjoyed her time watching Colton participate in many activities throughout his years in school.&nbsp; People never had to question who she was cheering on at all of his sporting events and you could always count on her being decked out in the school colors from head to toe.&nbsp; One of her most proud moments was watching her son graduated from high school.&nbsp; She always knew he would do big things and has always been proud of the man she raised.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Other roles she loved were being a sister and aunt.&nbsp; She loved being the middle sister and was always so happy to have any quality time she could with her sisters, Kaylen and Kellie.&nbsp; Although she was the middle one, she would never hesitate with telling people she was the youngest.&nbsp; She also was proud aunt to her nieces and nephews.&nbsp; She treated them all like they were her own and supported them in anything they were doing.&nbsp; She loved staying busy going to everyone's activities and cheering them on....the loudest! &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Konnie will be remembered as an amazing mom, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.&nbsp; She loved with her whole heart.&nbsp; She had an amazing strength to her and that was evident even in her last breath.&nbsp; She knew where her strength came from and never hesitated in sharing her testimony of the amazing grace of God. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Konnie was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Dale (Dappy) &amp; Fern (Grammy) Daniels and Warren &amp; Eunice Wolfenden; as well as many aunts and uncles. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She will be greatly missed and is survived by her son, Colton Robert; sisters Kaylen Wolfenden and Kellie Wolfenden-Barner; nieces and nephews, Linsei (Derrick), Lacelei, Laramei (Kaden), Kaydei, DJ, Braxten, and Aleiya; and a very special person she loved, Dave Bradley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Memorials are suggested to the family for Colton's college education.&nbsp; Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Harvest Christian Church in North Platte, Nebraska with Reverend Dean Boyer officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow at Cedarview Cemetery in Mullen, Nebraska. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Visitation will be held from noon - 4:00 p.m., with the family present from 2:0o - 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Adams &amp; Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte, Nebraska, which is in charge of arrangements.&nbsp; The service will be live-streamed on the Adams &amp; Swanson Facebook page for those unable to attend.

Henry Lee Schram  (1950-2021)

Mary&nbsp;Johnson, age 72, of North Platte, Nebraska died at Great Plains Health in North Platte on February 24, 2021.

Mary was born January 14, 1949, to Andy and Freda Anderson in North Platte and went on to graduate from NPHS in 1967.

Mary worked hard all her life. From 8th grade through her senior year, she worked for Ellett's Taste Treat then went to work for Sixth Street. In 1971 she moved to Denver, CO, and worked at Rite Aide Drug Store before returning to North Platte in '75 and going to work at Sands Motor Inn. In 1978 Mary was employed by Austin Industry to work at the Gerald Gentleman Power Plant. Two years later the company relocated her to continue working construction in other states.

On September 2, 1978, Mary was united in marriage to Carlyle Johnson in Denver and the couple settled in Loris, SC. Mary was later employed by Lowe's for over 10 years then became a care giver for her mother-in-law. She returned to North Platte in 2014 to be closer to her family.

Mary was a member of the White Savannah Free Will Baptist Church in Conway, SC. Mary enjoyed cooking for church and family dinners and liked gardening and canning.

Survivors include her son, C.J. Stone of Seattle, WA; stepchildren, Lance (Debroh) Johnso, of Italy, Greg Johnson of Jamestown, WA, Priscella (Jamie) Benton and Patricia (Jimmy) Thomas of Conway, SC, Cindy Chauvie of Ashville, NC, and Micele Johnson of Loris, SC; grandson, Seth Johnson of Seattle, WA; 9 step-grandchildren, Nickey, Kasey, Brad, Ashley, Terri Michelle, Samantha, James, Jr., Shelly and Jenie Marie; and step great-grandson, Trey.

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Deanna "Sue" McGreer, age 61, of Big Springs, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Prairie Senior Living Complex in Colby, Kansas after a 27-year fight with brain cancer.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Sue was born on May 26, 1959 at Julesburg, Colorado to Gerald and Lucille Price.&nbsp; she was raised on a ranch near Sedgwick, Colorado.&nbsp; She graduated from Revere High School with the Class of 1977, where she had excelled in basketball, volleyball, track and 4-H. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On November 24, 1979, Sue married K.C. McGreer and their union was blessed with two children, Tyson and Wendy.&nbsp; Sue was a secretary at TRW prior to the kids being born, then later Sue worked at B&amp;K Tavern, McBride Farms, and at Country Supply until her health would no longer allow. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Sue gave generously of her time, having served as a member and past President of the Big Springs Fireman's Auxiliary, coaching youth athletics, and as a Neighborhood Mom. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Sue didn't mince words and most typically told the unvarnished truth.&nbsp; Her passion was her grandkids all while unselfishly battling with cancer. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Price; and her grandparents. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Survivors include her husband, K.C. Deannna "Sue" McGreer  (1959-2021)

Roland R. “Ronnie” Rogers, age 83, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Maple Crest Center in Omaha.

Ronnie was born on March 30, 1937, in Culbertson, Nebraska, and was one of ten children born to Robert and Minnie (Malady) Rogers. He graduated from McCook High School with the class of 1955. He then went on to further his education at Auctioneer School in Iowa. After finishing his time in school, Ronnie moved to Lexington, Nebraska.

He was united in marriage to Deannah Burkey in June of 1958 in Lexington. Five children were blessed to this union: Ronda, Deb, Randy, Ryan and Jeff. The family made their home in Lexington where Ronnie was part owner and auctioneer of Lexington Livestock and was a cattle buyer. The marriage would later end in divorce. &nbsp;In addition to being a cattle buyer, he owned and operated R&amp;R Cattle Feedlot.

Ronnie then moved to Johnson Lake in Nebraska where he would reside from 1983 until 1998. He started a new venture in opening and running R&amp;R Trucking and Truck wash.

He was united in marriage to Gayle (Oelkers) Cyriacks in 1994 in Lexington. They made their home in Elwood, Nebraska from 1998 to 2013. In 2013, they moved back to Lexington before Ronnie’s health started to decline, he separated from Gayle and moved to Maple Crest in Omaha until his passing.

He loved being outdoors and took great pride in buying and working cattle. For everyone who knew Ronnie cattle was his passion. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting with his friends and was great on the grill. He enjoyed attending his children’s activities and later his grandchildren’s activities.

Ronnie was a former member of the Dawson County Cattleman’s Club and Dawson County Spare Rib Club. He also enjoyed being part of a dance club for many years.

Survivors include his children, Ronda (Mike) Maloley of Lexington, Nebraska, Deb (Duane “Chub”) Klein of Fremont, Nebraska, Randy (Beth) Rogers of Lexington, Nebraska, Ryan (Stacy) Rogers of Alma, Nebraska and Jeff (Sara) Rogers of Lexington, Nebraska; thirteen grandchildren, Travis (Katie) Maloley of Lexington, Nebraska, Torri (Jared) McCracken of Lexington, Nebraska, Terah (Connor) Williams of Elm Creek , Nebraska, Desi (Tyler) Kenney of Kearney, Nebraska, Dawn (Ben) Hansen of Fremont, Nebraska, Dusty (Gentry) Klein of Fremont, Nebraska, Haley Rogers of Lexington, Nebraska, oss Rogers of Lincoln, NEbraska, Lindsey (Caleb) McKeever of Wymore, Nebrsaka, Ty (Emily) Rogers of Wisner, Nebraska, Skylar (Will) Price Goldsboro, North Carolina, Colby Rogers of Cozad, Nebraska and Jake Rogers of Riverdale, Nebraska; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jerry Mullanix of Grand Island, Nebraska; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Anne Gahn officiating. The service will be livestreamed via the First United Methodist Church website. Face covering will be required to enter.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska.

Burial will be in Robb Cemetery south of Lexington, Nebraska.

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Sherry Lynn Merritt of Wellfleet, Nebraska passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 24, 2021.&nbsp; She was born on January 14, 1956 in North Platte, Nebraska to Maynard and Gertrude Olson. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She was the youngest and only daughter, who was often favored by her grandmother.&nbsp; Sherry attended school in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School in 1974. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Sherry was united in marriage on August 16, 1980 to Eddie Merritt of Wellfleet, Nebraska.&nbsp; Sherry and Eddie lived on the family farm, working and raising their two daughters, Kimberly Ann and Sara Kay.&nbsp; She also worked at the Pawnee Motel until she became a full-time supporter of her daughters' activities.&nbsp; Sherry never missed an activity that her children were a part of, always cheering, even if she had no idea what she was cheering for.&nbsp; After both girls graduated from high school, she went to work at Sunmart.&nbsp; She continued to work until she fulfilled the role she was meant to have: being a grandma. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;During her final years, Sherry enjoyed having a partner in crime with granddaughter, Nattellia, often doing anything and everything nattellia asked of her.&nbsp; To add to her joy, Josephine and Rhett joing the crew, often causing more chaos, but always joyful times. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She was an avid card player, always having a deck on hand.&nbsp; Sherry was always up for a game of cards, or any other games the grandkids wanted to play.&nbsp; Sherry enjoyed being on the winning team, often begin quite vocal, whether she was winning, losing, or cheating with Aunt Debbie, of course. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Sherry loved lounging with her grandkids watching her favorite shows.&nbsp; She could recite all the lines to Little House onthe Prairie, The Walton's, and most importantly, The Golden Girls.&nbsp; She and Nattellia would spend the day watching and singing along to the Golden Girls, making up their own story lines. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She is survived by her husband of forty years, Eddie Merritt of Wellfleet, Nebraska; daughters Kimberly (Ryan) Shockley of North Platte, Nebraska and Sara (Booker) Boyer of Brady, Nebraska; grandchildren Nattellia and Josephine Boyer and Rhett Shockley; Aunt Pricilla Jeffers; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard and Gertrude Olson; in-laws, Richard and Grace Merritt; and a brother, Terry Olson. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte with Pastor Gary Smith officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Gardens. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Visitation will be at 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2021 with family receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 -p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Memorials are requested to the family to be designated at a later date. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Carpenter Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.&nbsp; Services will be held following all current health directives regarding Covid-19 and masks are required.&nbsp; The service will be live-streamed via Carpenter Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.&nbsp; Online condolences and sharing of memories may be directed to www.carpentermemorial.com.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Duana Yvonne 'Dewey' Thomas-Karr, age 70, of Indianola, Nebraska passed away unexpectedly at her home in Indianola on Sunday, February 21, 2021. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Duana was born on march 25, 1950 in Charles City, Iowa to parents James LeRoy and Donaldeen Yvonne (Palmer) Rowe. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On September 21, 1989, Duana married Harold G. Karr in Phoenix, Arizona.&nbsp; The couple made their home in Indianola, Nebraska.&nbsp; Duana enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and Elvis memorabilia.&nbsp; She will be remembered for her willingness to help others.&nbsp; Duana worked at Walmart, the North Sale Barn, and as a bookkeeper for her brother at Rowe Auto Repair in McCook, Nebraska. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Duana was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Karr; and a son, Jamie Thomas. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Those left to celebrate her life include her children, David Thomas and Michele Hicks, both of McAlester, Oklahoma; her stepson, Harold Karr, Jr. of Illinois; stepdaughters Kristine Lilly of Russellville, Arkansas and Cynthia Berry of Pennsylvania; her brother, Dennis Gene Rowe of McCook, Nebraska; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home, 305 West C Street in McCook, Nebraska.&nbsp; Burial will be at a later date.

Duana Yvonne Thomas-Karr  (1950-2021)

Larry Lee Daugherty, age 84, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away February 18, 2021, at his home. He was born March 1, 1936, in Beatrice, Nebraska, to Morris LaVerne and Ethel Bea (Bowker) Daugherty.

Larry and his sister, Charmaine were raised by their great aunt and uncle, Ethel and Stanley McCormack.

He grew up in Kearney, Nebraska and graduated from Kearney High with the class of 1954, then attended Nebraska Trade School in Milford, Nebraska for basic electricity. He then entered the United States Air Force in 1957 and served at Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado. He received an honorable discharge in 1961. After that, he settled back in Kearney and worked at Ted’s Motor Shop in Lexington, Nebraska.

Larry married Joanne Eslinger in 1976. They couple lived in North Platte, Nebraska where Larry hired out for the Union Pacific Railroad as an electrician and retired after 28 years.

He had a passion for the guitar and was in a hillbilly/country western band. Larry loved his family, friends and animals, and&nbsp; enjoyed eating and socializing at the Senior Center in North Platte. He also raised pigeons and rabbits.

Survivors include his sister, Charmaine Westphal of Humboldt, Iowa; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris LaVerne and Ethel Bea Daugherty; great aunt and uncle, Ethel and Stanley McCormack; step-brother, David Ray; step-mother, Verna Daugherty.

Memorials are suggested to North Platte Senior Center.

Burial will be at a later date at the Kearney City Cemetery, Kearney, NE.

Larry Lee Daugherty  (1936-2021)

Willard Arlin Messinger, age 90, of McCook, NE died on February 21, 2021 at home with his wife Eva at his bedside.

Willard was born west of Cedar Bluffs, Kansas, at home, to Herman Gustave and Serena Isabel (Zimmerman) Messinger on December 13, 1930, the third of four children. The family moved to a nearby farm in Nebraska where the children were raised.&nbsp; He started country school in Rural Red Willow County and later finished in McCook.&nbsp; In 1947, while active in FFA, he was selected to represent Nebraska in the 1st National FFA band.&nbsp; He graduated from McCook High School in 1948.

He married Eva Jane Paxton on January 23, 1952 in McCook, Nebraska at the United Methodist Church.&nbsp; On returning from their honeymoon his invitation to participate in the Korean Conflict was waiting in their mailbox.&nbsp; He served in Korea as part of Company C 44 Engineering Construction Battalion of the Army, &nbsp;operating heavy equipment building roads ahead of the front lines and many other wartime construction projects.&nbsp; He was honorably discharged in February 1954.

He returned home to Eva and they happily spent the remainder of their 69 years together raising their two sons and proudly enjoying their growing family, farming, feeding cattle, and pursuing other agribusiness ventures with family such as M &amp; W Equipment and Southwest Feeders.&nbsp; He was a member of McCook United Methodist Church and a life-long member of McCook BPOE Elks Lodge 1434.&nbsp; When his children attended Marion School District #4 he served several terms as Board President.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Betty and husband, Don Crocker, of Centralia, Missouri; sister, Ruth and husband, Wayne Joy, &nbsp;brother, Merlin and wife, Eunice, mother-in-law, Agnes Witte, and sister-in-law, Margie McBee all of McCook.

Those left to celebrate his life and continue his legacy are his wife, Eva; sons, Mark (Pat) and Kirk (Peggy) of McCook, NE;&nbsp; grandchildren: Paul Messinger, Amy (Matt) Bohmont, David (Kari) Messinger, Keith (Kelsey) Messinger and Kayla Messinger; &nbsp;six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook, NE; the family will greet the public from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.

Willard Arlin Messinger  (1930-2021)

Alta Veda Miller, age 81, of Ogallala, Nebraska passed away on February 20, 2021, at her home in Ogallala. Alta was born February 3, 1940, at Oxford, Nebraska, to Ray and Verna (Bose) Frear. She graduated from Oxford High School with the class of 1957. On October 14, 1963, Alta married Ernie Miller at Cozad, Nebraska. The couple resided in Ogallala the majority of their married lives, where Alta worked at Goodall, for many years, prior to working at the Underpass. Alta and Ernie also owned and operated a metal recycling business for many years, which they'd taken over from Ernie's parents. Most recently, Alta worked at Wel-Life, where she made many deep and meaningful friendships with both the residents and staff. Alta had a pleasant and considerate demeanor. She also had a special way of telling it like it was, a trait that gave substance to her words. Alta's house was always ornamented with cardinals, doves, and bells, which both she and Ernie had collected over the years. The cardinal represents devotion and loving relationships, with the dove symbolizing peace, faith, and gentleness. Appropriate emblems for Alta, indeed. Alta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernie; daughter, Tammy; and two brothers, Jim and Bob Frear.  </figure>Alta Veda Miller, age 81, of Ogallala, Nebraska passed away on February 20, 2021, at her home in Ogallala. Alta was born February 3, 1940, at Oxford, Nebraska, to Ray and Verna (Bose) Frear. She graduated from Oxford High School with the class of 1957. On October 14, 1963, Alta married Ernie Miller at Cozad, Nebraska. The couple resided in Ogallala the majority of their married lives, where Alta worked at Goodall, for many years, prior to working at the Underpass. Alta and Ernie also owned and operated a metal recycling business for many years, which they'd taken over from Ernie's parents. Most recently, Alta worked at Wel-Life, where she made many deep and meaningful friendships with both the residents and staff. Alta had a pleasant and considerate demeanor. She also had a special way of telling it like it was, a trait that gave substance to her words. Alta's house was always ornamented with cardinals, doves, and bells, which both she and Ernie had collected over the years. The cardinal represents devotion and loving relationships, with the dove symbolizing peace, faith, and gentleness. Appropriate emblems for Alta, indeed. Alta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernie; daughter, Tammy; and two brothers, Jim and Bob Frear. Survivors include her children, Terri (Richard) Hayes of Chappell, Nebraska, Rita (Dave) Kintz of Brule, Nebraska, and Tanya Miller of Ogallala, Nebraska; adopted son, JR Rhode of Ogallala, Nebraska; grandchildren, Tabetha, Jordan (fiancee, Breanne), and Thomas; brother, Jack Frear of Oxford, Nebraska; along with many other relatives and friends. Alta Veda Miller  (1940-2021)

Diana Jimenez, age 65, of Sutherland, NE, formerly of Plainfield, IL, passed away on February 18, 2021 at Emerald Nursing &amp; Rehab in Cozad, NE.

She was born to Nieves and Josephine (Cruz) Molina on September 2, 1955 in San Antonio, TX. As a child, the family moved to the Bridgeport area in Chicago, where Diana attended grade school and high school, graduating with the class of 1973.

Diana married Alejandro Garcia Jimenez on December 28, 1974. To this union, two children were born, Sandra and Carlos. The couple stayed in Chicago and raised their children. She worked as a school bus driver for many years and loved the children she had the opportunity to interact with. After Alejandro passed in 2017, Diana moved to Sutherland, NE with her daughter.

Diana loved to sing and dance and was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts of all kinds. Above all, Diana loved her family; they were the center of her life. She especially loved to travel to Mexico City to visit her family.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Jimenez of Sutherland, NE and Carlos (Sarah) Jimenez of Joliet, IL; mother, Josephine Molina of Tama, IA; grandchildren, Karyna (Dennis) Gallegos of Berwyn, IL, Mia, Xavier, and Elena Jimenez, of Joliet, IL; great-grandchild, Alejandro Jose Gallegos; sister, Ester (Miguel) Montez of Tama, IA; brothers, Ruben (Mariann) Molina of Darien, IL and Richard (Barbara) Molina of Tacoma, WA; several nieces and nephews, along with many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alejandro Garcia Jimenez; father, Nieves Molina; brother, Roy Molina; and sister, Delia Mendoza.

A memorial service will be held in Chicago, Illinois at a later date.

Diana Jimenez  (1955-2021)

Parker E. Martinson, age 78 of Arthur, Nebraska passed away on February 17, 2021, at the Ogallala Community Hospital in Ogallala, Nebraska. Parker was born July 7, 1942, at Haxtun, Colorado, to John and Esther (Newbanks) Martinson. He attended school in Colorado before going to work in ranching. Ranch work would eventually bring Parker to Nebraska for a time before he moved back to Colorado to work on the feed elevators at Paoli. On April 22, 1961, Parker married Sharon Kay Wilson, and their union was blessed with two sons, Glenn and Bruce. The couple moved to Tucson, AZ, where Parker worked in copper mining and trucking before working for a ready-mix outfit driving a mixing truck. The family bought a farm in Montrose, Colorado which brought them to live in the area for thirty-five years, intermittently back and forth from Tucson. Eventually, Parker went to work in precious metal mining, which he enjoyed for several years before working at XL Drilling as a supervisor over several drilling rigs. Ever the entrepreneur, Parker left XL and purchased some excavating equipment, owning and operating Martinson Backhoe Service. In the early 2000s, the couple moved to Arthur, Nebraska, to be closer to family. Parker was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, his parents, and a brother, John II. Survivors include his sons, Glenn Martinson (Anita McArthur) of Wascum, TX; Bruce (Renee) Martinson of Pembroke, NH; four grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and good friends.
