Eunice Mae Masters, age 90, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on September 7, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 9, 1930 at her grandparents' home in Denmark, Nebraska (in Lincoln County south of Maxwell, Nebraska) to Ralph and Irene (Thomsen) Gutherless.&nbsp; She grew up south of Maxwell, Nebraska and graduated from high school in Curtis, Nebraska.

Eunice was united in marriage to Hollis Masters on March 26, 1948, after which the couple lived on various farms and ranches, and then bought her folks' place in Cottonwood Canyon.&nbsp; Through the years, five children were added to the family.&nbsp; They moved to North Platte, Nebraska in 1991 and lived at Lake Maloney.&nbsp; Prior to Hollis' death, they celebrated 50 years of marriage.&nbsp; Although her main occupation was housewife, she also was a teacher, bus driver, cook and seamstress.&nbsp; She was a member of Maywood Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a son-in-law, Rob Rudloff; a grandson, Brent Masters; a granddaughter, Pam (Rudloff) Sommers; and a sister, Cleona Douglas.

Eunice is survived by her son, Bruce (Maxine) Masters of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters Nancy (Fred) Russell of Gordon, Nebraska, Patricia (Mike) Reynolds of Maxwell, Nebraska, Gwen Rudloff of North Platte, Nebraska, and Brenda (Rod) Thayer of Champion, Nebraska; her sisters Lucille Myer of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Bunny (Floyd) Bokoski of North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and 2 sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and special nieghbors, John and Lindee Doyle.

Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Myers, age 87, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on September 12, 2020.&nbsp; She was born on March 1, 1933 in Wallace, Nebraska to Virgil and Martha (Fulk) Edington.

Jackie was united in marriage to Richard "Ram" Myers in North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; The couple lived in North Platte where Jackie and Ram raised their family.&nbsp; Jackie was a member of TOPS, where she met many lifelong friends.&nbsp; After Ram's retirement, they enjoyed golfing, and looked forward to their Saturday evening dinner with friends.&nbsp; Her family was very important to her and she will be dearly missed by them.

Survivors include her children, Kevin (Patty) Myers of Omaha, Nebraska, Syrena (Keith) Davis, Kathleen Mattocks, and Stephanie (Guy) Brouillette, all of North Platte, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ron (Lila) Edington of Wallace, Nebraska and Kent (Shelly) Edington of Dickens, Nebraska; and several other family members and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ram; and a son-in-law, Bill Mattocks.

Lucy Buesing, age 82, of Gothenburg, Nebraska died on September 14, 2020 in Gothenburg, Nebraska.

She was born on August 23, 1938 in Neudorf, Ukraine, the daughter of Otto and Hilda (Seel) Netzel.&nbsp; She was baptized on April 17, 1944 in Eugenfeld, Ukraine.&nbsp; Lucy arrived in New Orleans, LA on March 21, 1952 at the age of 14 with her mother and sister.&nbsp; She attended school at Lexington, Nebraska through the eighth grade and later received her GED in May of 1984.&nbsp; Lucy was united in marriage to Carl D. Schwarz on January 8, 1955 in Lexington, Nebraska.&nbsp; The couple later divorced.&nbsp; Seven children were blessed to this marriage:&nbsp; David, Teresa, Ron, Anthony, Kathy, Charlie, and Troy.&nbsp; Lucy married Darrell Buesing on June 15, 1985 in Lexington, Nebraska.&nbsp; Over the years, she had several different jobs; she worked at Michael's, West Side Care Home, Slacks Nursing Home and retired from Hilltop Estates as the head dietitian.&nbsp; she loved her music, cooking, and baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Teresa &amp; husband Gary Smith of Gothenburg, Nebraska, Ron Schwarz of Lexington, Nebraska, Kathy and her husband Tim Lord of Indianola, Nebraska, Charlie and his wife Denise Schwarz of Clovis California, and Troy Schwarz of Gothenburg, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; her sister, Linda Schwarz; step-sons Mike Buesing, Matt (Angie) Buesing, and Mark Buesing; a host of step grandchildren; along with many extended family and friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Buesing; sons, Anthony and David Schwarz; grandchildren Nathan, Natalie and Nicole; and her parents, Otto &amp; Hilda Netzel.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Struser Memorial Chapel at 620 Tenth Street in Gothenburg, Nebraska on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with the family present.&nbsp;

Lucy Buesing  (1938-2020)

Anthony Lee Reich, 73, gained his angel wings on September 9, 2020. He was born October 24, 1946 to James and Angelina Reich in Stillwater, Minnesota. Tony grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota with four siblings, Patricia, Henry, Peggy and Steven.

In 1974, Tony moved to South Carolina where he met the love of his life, Etrulia Ann Broadwater. They were united in marriage on his birthday, October 24, 1975.

In 1976 Tony and Ann moved to Sutherland to work at Gerald Gentleman Station. In 1979 Tony became disabled from an accident at the power plant which allowed him more time with his children, hobbies and Special Olympics. Before becoming disabled Tony really enjoyed riding his Harley.

Tony enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, going to the stock car races, and playing cards at Rosebud Casino. Tony and his honorary brother Jay Conrad owned and operated T Bar J Trapping.

He was a great coach along with his wife Ann for Special Olympics. He loved all his athletes and they loved him as well. Quote from Special Olympic Athlete Augie Tarango- “Tony will be missed, I remember Special Olympics basketball practice, if we didn’t listen, he would make us run. I remember him saying he didn’t know anything about basketball. Tony and coach Ann coached us to five state championships for Special Olympics.”

Tony held his kids, grandkids and great grandkids close to his heart. He was by far the most unselfish person ever. He will be greatly missed, but we all know he will be there looking over us.

Tony is survived by his wife Ann of Sutherland; two sisters, Patricia Forlsblom and Peggy Dau both of Danbury, Wisconsin; daughters, Robin Deem-Culbertson (partner Beverly) of Wisconsin, Kim Streit (significant other, T.J. Hummel) of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son Mike Reich of North Platte; granddaughters, Latosha Reich, Jordan Culbertson, Madison Pacheco, and Mackenzie Streit; grandson Chase Leisure; great grandchildren, Hayden McCraney and Ariabella Pacheco; honorary brother Jack Kunzelman; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Steve and Henry; honorary brother, Jay Conrad.

Anthony Lee Reich (1946-2020)

Betty Rieker, age 94, passed away September 9, 2020 at Stone Hearth Estates in Gothenburg, Nebraska

She was born November 15, 1925 on the family farm north of Eustis, Nebraska, daughter of Otto and Sophia (Yeutter) Bartruff.&nbsp; Betty was baptized at the Eustis Methodist Church. She attended rural school through 8th&nbsp;grade. Betty graduated from Eustis High School with the class of 1943.&nbsp; After High School, she taught rural school north of Cozad, Nebraska for two years.&nbsp; Due to her mother’s passing, Betty returned to help her father care for their home and her two younger sisters. &nbsp; On April 15, 1947, Betty married Leonard Rieker. They were blessed with three daughters, Christine, Karen and Debra. They lived and farmed east of Farnam, Nebraska. From caring for livestock, to marketing grain, Betty was an integral part of their farming operation.&nbsp; She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran church.

Leonard passed away on October 23, 1985.&nbsp; Betty continued to enjoy her life on the farm. Her home was always welcoming. Betty’s flowers and beautiful farmyard were a testament to her love of the outdoors.&nbsp; She moved to Stone Hearth Estates in Gothenburg, Nebraska in October, 2015.

Betty exercised her God given gift of caring for others. &nbsp; Her visits, casseroles and homemade pretzels were appreciated by many.&nbsp; Betty grew up playing cards for fun, and always enjoyed a good game.&nbsp; She often attended ball games and always supported youth activities, including 4-H and the WINGS program at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Betty delighted in her family, most specifically her grandchildren. She patiently taught them many life skills- driving, canning, playing cards and pretzel making, just to name a few. Louis "Lou" &nbsp;Bovitz, age 77, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died September 8, 2020 at Gothenburg Health in Gothenburg, NE. &nbsp;

He was born September 10, 1942 in Hibbing , Minnesota, son of &nbsp;Rudolph and Frances (Bradach) Bovitz.&nbsp; Lou grew up in the Hibbing, MN area and graduated from Hibbing High School and Hibbing Technical College. He served his country in the US Army and the National Guards.&nbsp; He spent the majority of his working career in the computer industry, working as a programmer and computer analyst.&nbsp; He was the head of the service contract department for several large companies such as IBM and Hewlett/Packard.&nbsp; Lou moved to Gothenburg in 2005 at the start of the "work from home" era. &nbsp;

He attended the American Lutheran Church where he served on various boards.&nbsp; He was the Chairman of City Planning and Zoning; on the City Board of Adjustment; and the Board of Directors at Wild Horse Golf Course.&nbsp; He proudly served as a member of the Gothenburg Honor Guard and was a member of the Gothenburg Rotary Club.&nbsp; Anyone who had the opportunity to meet and get to know him would walk away and think "wow people like this really do exist".&nbsp; He was always kind and considerate, but most of all a gentleman.

Lou was passionate about the outdoors.&nbsp; He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer.&nbsp; He could spend hours just sitting in one spot during hunting or fishing season never bag anything, just happy to be outdoors. He loved being on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and took many trips to Sturgis.

Many friends walk in and out of our lives and never leave a foot print.&nbsp; Lou left that foot print in the lives of everyone he met. We will miss you and wish you Gods speed on your journey.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Patridge; son Stephen (Jennifer) Bovitz; grandchildren Sarah Patridge, Nathan Patridge, Haley Bovitz and Isabella Bovitz; his siblings - Judy (Martin) Kerr, Audrey Laliberte, Larry (Val) Bovitz and Mark Bovitz.&nbsp; Lou also leaves behind many friends including Doug and Regis Swanson, Jo Fuller, and special neighbors Jon &amp; Tara Hudson, the members of the Gothenburg Honor Guard and a host of other friends.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents and his life partner, Jean Fourroux; as well as a brother-in-law Bill Laliberte.

Funeral services were held at American Lutheran Church,&nbsp;1511 Ave G, Gothenburg, NE, on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jon Mapa officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Burial will take place at a later date in the Gothenburg Cemetery, Gothenburg, Nebraska.

Louis "Lou" Bovitz  (1942-2020

Norma J. Babcock, age 86, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Linden Court in North Platte.

Norma was born on April 7, 1934 to harvey Herman and Martha Kathern (Stiegemeier) Hobrock in Hastings, Nebraska where she grew up.&nbsp; She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and attended Hastings Public Schools, graduating in 1952.&nbsp; She went on to Hastings College, then the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, earning her teaching certificate.&nbsp; Norma taught in Lincoln and Hastings in Nebraska, and at Sandia Base Kindergarten in Albuquerque, New Mexico and starting in the 9th grade, she taught Sunday School at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings and later St. Luke's Lutheran Church in New Mexico and Messiah Lutheran Church in North Platte, Nebraska.

On June 7, 1955, Norma was united in marriage to Roger C. Babcock at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Paul M. deFreeze officiating.&nbsp; The couple was blessed with two children, Michael and Sharon, and over 65 years of marriage.

Norma enjoyed working with children and being active in organizations that helped children.&nbsp; She served on various boards including St. Luke's Weekday Kindergarten, Camp Fire Girls and Commission of Christian Concern.&nbsp; Norma was also coordinator of the Sunday Church School at Messiah Lutheran Church.

Genealogy was Norma's hobby.&nbsp; She enjoyed compiling family histories for both her family and Roger's family.&nbsp; Norma leaves her family with a rich history of their past.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Martha Hobrock; and a sister and her husband, Dorothy and Gail Harrenstein.

Norma is survived by her husband, Roger of North Platte and their children, Michael (Vicki) Babcock of Manassas, Virginia and Sharon (Jean) Babcock of Ft. Defiance, Virginia; and other family.

Michael ‘Mike’ Arney, age 67, passed away August 15, 2020, at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska.

Mike was born September 21, 1952, in North Platte, Nebraska to Harriet (Lagerquist) and Bob Arney and later graduated North Platte High School in 1971.

In March 1973, Mike married Kerma Saling and his only child, Brandi, was born later that year. He and Kerma later divorced.

Mike worked in the air cargo business at the Denver airport for 15 years then became the regional manager at TruGreen Chemlawn in Denver.

Mike was an avid golfer and was even a volunteer coach of the University of Nebraska women's golf team. He attended lots of Husker football games and loved taking his daughter and grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler, to those games.

Survivors include his daughter, Brandi Dukes of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Dukes; brother, Jeff Arney of Utah; sister, Becky Arney of California; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Michael 'Mike' Arney (1952-2020)

Myron M. Maseberg, 75, of North Platte, passed away September 8, 2020 at his home. He was born July 13, 1945 to Gladys (Garrett) Maseberg in North Platte.

Myron graduate from North Platte High School in 1963 then went to McCook College for one year. He entered the United States Air Force serving at Fort Mead, MD and the Island of Crete. After his discharge he attended the Milwaukee Institute of Technology and he graduated with an accounting degree.

Myron married Elaine B. Bodtke on August 10, 1969 in Milwaukee. They settled in North Platte and Myron was a self-employed contractor for many years.

Myron is survived by his wife Elaine of North Platte; two sons, Mark Maseberg of North Platte, Paul (Nicole) Maseberg of Winfield, IL; grandchildren, Hunter, Noah, Miles, and Wyatt.

He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Maseberg; brother Gary Maseberg; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Maseberg.

Connie M. Brandes, 87, of Deming, New Mexico, formerly of Maywood, NE, passed away on September 1, 2020, in Deming. Connie was born November 19, 1932, to Henry C. and Veda M (Ryker) Cooper, in Wellfleet, NE. She attended grade school at Opal Springs and graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1951.

Connie was dating someone else at the time and had a date with him one evening, when Chuck stopped by unexpectedly, he persuaded Connie to go out with him and would not take no for an answer. They married on March 18, 1951 at the Wellfleet Baptist Church, which lead to a wonderful life together and have had many great memorable times together, wonderful travels, also three wonderful children and 7 very special grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, which enriched their lives immensely. They lived in Maywood where Chuck and Connie owned and operated the telephone company, until 1977, Connie ran the switchboard. They moved to Yuma, AZ for a year, then to Ramona, CA.&nbsp;&nbsp; They went to full time motor homing for several years before settling in Deming, NM.

Connie was an herbalist and very knowledgeable about natural remedies. She was a very caring and loving person, always had empathy for her family. She was a 4H leader and taught knitting.

Survivors include her husband Chuck of Deming, NM, three children; Monty (Carol) Brandes, Sierra Vista, AZ, Mark (Julie) Brandes, North Platte, NE, Karen (James) Perdew, Ramona, CA; sister; Anita Berghouse, Ramona, CA; seven grandchildren; Aaron (Mandy) Brandes, North Platte, Amy Brandes, North Platte, Adam (Keiko) Brandes, Japan, Jesse (Christina) Brandes, North Platte, Nicole (Kyle) Austin, North Platte, Brandon (Stephanie) Perdew, Ramona, CA and Brittney (BJ) Zarcone, Ramona, CA, nine great grandchildren; Kaiden, Heilo, Kamryn, Kenadi, Andrew, Lilly, Zane, Garrett and Ryker. Along with numerous other family members and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents and brothers Roland and Blaine.

He loved spending time with his horses, fishing, going to the casino and to the grocery store.&nbsp; John never met a stranger and loved visiting with everyone, including on the CB radio where he was known as the "white haired man".&nbsp; He loved to spend time in the park with his beloved dog Bookie.&nbsp; In his last 10 years of his working career he was a HBAC maintenance supervisor in the Gilbert Arizona School System.&nbsp;

Survivors include wife, Elaine J Brown of Cozad, NE;&nbsp; three sons, Anthony (Monica) Brown, Paul (Tommie) Brown, Youl (Callie) Brown; three daughters, Maria (Bill) Hamburger, Charlotte (Don) Stumpf, Patty Jo (Kevin) Bice; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren,&nbsp; and two brothers, Charles and Harold Brown.

Walter Junior Schultz, 87, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died August 31, 2020 at Emerald Nursing and Rehab in Cozad, NE.&nbsp;&nbsp;

He was born October 11, 1932 in Cumberland, MD son of Walter and Anne Schultz. Walter grew up in Pennsylvania.

Walt joined the United States Army from 1952-1957 and served during the Korean Conflict. It was during this time that he met his future wife Joyce Parmenter.&nbsp; In September of 1955 Walt and Joyce were united in marriage.&nbsp; To this union three children were born: Jerrald, Brenda, and J.R..

After his honorable discharge from the Army, he spent most of his life as a truck driver, ending his career with Mann Hay Company.&nbsp;

Walt enjoyed riding his Harley, as fast as it would go, hunting, and collecting "Junk" with Bob Webber.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Evelyn) Schultz of Gothenburg, J.R. (Alice) Schultz of Gothenburg; daughter, Brenda (Duane) Shepherd of Brady, NE; 12 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, sister, Shirley Nelson of Martinsburg, WV along with numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by wife, Joyce Schultz, his parents, his brother Jim Schultz, and brother-in-law Bob Nelson.&nbsp;

Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 11:30 am with Pastor Larry Viter officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Burial will take place at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.

Juliet Tiffany, 65, of North Platte, NE, passed away Saturday, August 29th, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Juliet was born on July 30th, 1955 in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines to Agustin and Rebecca Lozano. She immigrated to the United States in 1988 and moved to North Platte in 1994. On September 9th, 2017, she was united in marriage to Mark Tiffany. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking her native food, and spending time with friends and family.

Those left to cherish her memory include are her husband, Mark, sons, Edzel and Fritz Butac, Zachary Saner; and grandchildren, Liam, Skye, Amelia, Isaac and Arthur.

Matthew L. Schaeffer (1980-2020)

Tim Eugene Hunt, 73 of North Platte, NE passed away on September 2, 2020 at Great Plains Health. 

He was born on June 13, 1947 to Raleigh F. and Lilly W. (Lofkwist) Hunt at North Platte Memorial Hospital.&nbsp; &nbsp;had Polio at 8 months old.&nbsp; Hunting, fishing (many master anglers) an extreme Nebraska Cornhusker fan, excellent musician (North Platte Barber Shoppers, High School Band and church with Kevin Latimer.) Tim was baptized in First Christian Church in North Platte, NE.&nbsp; Tim was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wellfleet, NE.&nbsp;

Tim was an excellent horse shoe pitcher, his brother taught him to swim by holding him under water until Tim came up fighting (swimming).&nbsp; He learned to ride a surf board that many others could not do, Tim even taught his dog to ride with him.&nbsp; He also enjoyed bowling.&nbsp;

He worked various custodial jobs including, Environmental Services at Great Plains Regional Hospital for over ten years. Tim loved family reunions and many, many friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister in law, Denise Kaye Sanders Hunt.

He is survived by brother, Terry (Vicky) of Bertrand, Nebraska, nephew; Allen Joe (Mitzi) Chadron, Chad Lynn (Cherlyn) Elm Creek, great nephews and nieces; &nbsp;Darrin James Hunt, Hays, KS, Denise Ann Hunt, Elm Creek, Ryan Larry(Karissa) Cox, North Platte, &nbsp;Nicole (Tim) Schmidt of North Platte , cousins; Dorothy (Connor) Gordon, NE, &nbsp;Ardis (Douglas) Lincoln, NE, &nbsp;Allen West (Arline) Hinton, OK, Douglas(Doris) Howard of North Platte.

Tim Eugene Hunt (1947-2020)

Cheryl Lynn White age 59 of North Platte passed away at her home on May 4, 2020.

Cheryl was born on July 20, 1960 in North Platte to Hershel White and Carolyn Welch.&nbsp; She grew up and attended schools in North Platte, graduating in 1978. She was employed at B &amp; D Office Supply, then transitioning into Senior Home Health Care.

Cheryl loved camping, tanning, and swimming. She was highly involved in Paws-a-tive Partners, being an avid dog lover, especially her golden retriever, Zoey. She was also an avid Husker fan.

Survivors include siblings, Angie (Derek Peavey) Welch of Golden, CO and Michael (Rachel) Welch of North Platte; niece, Breanna; nephew, Lathan; cousin, Theresa Freeburg; numerous other family members; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, David White.

Cheryl Lynn White Services 

Lynn McNeel, of North Platte, passed away at Great Plains Health on August 30, 2020.

Lynn was born September 15, 1952, to Harold and Loretta McNeel in Sutherland and grew up on the family ranch.&nbsp; When he was 9 years old his father died.&nbsp; Loretta later married Bert Keith and Lynn gained three brothers, Rex, Gary and Bill (who was the only one still at home).&nbsp; The family moved to Grand Island for a few years with Bert's job on the railroad until he was transferred back to North Platte.&nbsp; With this move the family returned to the ranch where Lynn was raised.

He attended Rosedale District #82, a one room schoolhouse, for grade school, then graduated from North Platte High School in 1970.&nbsp; Lynn continued his education at Mid-Plains Community College and loved flying so he took lessons to earn his pilot's license.

In 1976 Lynn married Marilyn Polk on Valentine's Day, which was also her father's birthday.&nbsp; The couple continued to live on the family ranch and to this union four children, Daniel, Katheryne, Amanda and Thomas, were born. The children grew up working and helping their parents on the ranch and attended the same country school as their dad.

Lynn hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad in 1975 and worked as a Conductor.&nbsp; While on a trip headed west to Cheyenne on March 12, 2001, he smelled a putrid odor unlike anything he'd ever smelled before and ended up in the Ogallala hospital.&nbsp; This incident impaired his physical and mental health and led to months of doctor visits and therapy but with hard work and determination he seemed to improve.

Less than a year later on February 2, 2002, Lynn had another life changing event.&nbsp; &nbsp;While driving to a doctor's appointment he experienced a seizure and had a critical car wreck.&nbsp; It was a miracle he even survived. After a couple months in a Denver hospital, he was released and allowed to return home.&nbsp; Lynn was bed bound 'til his legs and wounds were healed enough to begin physical therapy and rehabilitation. Throughout the following years, Lynn had continued health problems resulting in numerous surgeries.&nbsp; Although these hardships shook his faith, Lynn continued to read and study his bible, believing in the word of God. With faith and the love of his family, Lynn was here for 67 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, and their children, Daniel (Crystal) McNeel, of North Platte, Katheryne (Tyson) Kramer, of Mullen, Amanda McNeel, of Columbus, and Thomas (Emily) McNeel, of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Cynthia, Violet, Danielle, Chloe, Landon, Kaiden and Serryn; brothers, Bill (Betty Jo) Keith, of Lakota, ND, Gary Keith, of Evanston, WY, and Rex (Kathi), of Surprise, AZ; and other family.

Lynn was preceded in death by his father, Harold McNeel, and mother and stepfather, Loretta and Bert Keith.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 4, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Celebrants Father Josh Brown and Father Mark Seiker. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel at C &amp; Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial.

Bonnie Barrett, 89, of North Platte, passed away on August 31, 2020 at Linden Court.

&nbsp;She was born July 23, 1931 to Frank and Carrie Parrish in Grant, Nebraska. Bonnie graduated from Perkins County High School in 1948 and moved to North Platte after graduation to work.&nbsp; She met and married Wesley Barrett.&nbsp; They had one son, Terry (Kathy) and three grandchildren; Michael (Elsa), Jonathan and Richard, all of Avon, Colorado, Amy Barrett of Thornton, Colorado and Sam (Ashley), Addie and Wesley Nathan of North Plate, Nebraska.

Bonnie loved spending time with her family and playing cards with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wesley; and son, Terry Lee Barrett; her sister, Grace (Arthur) Huffman; and brothers, Harold (Edna), Wayne (Margaret) and Don (Marlene).

Jean was born February 20th, 1954 in North Platte, NE to Robert and Henrietta Donnelly. She graduated in 1972 from Hershey, NE.

She was a para educator at 3 different schools working with special needs children. She worked at Cabela’s for over 16 years, retiring in March of 2018.

She loved scrapbooking, cooking and especially baking with her beloved grandchildren.

She was married to Herb Anderson from 1973-2000, and had 2 sons: Paul and Travis. She married Gene Hardy February 28th, 2004.

Survivors include her Husband, Gene; sons, Paul (Sarah) Anderson of Cedar Bluffs, Travis Anderson of North Platte, step daughter, Patty Pease; grandchildren, Kayla (Austin), Kaitlynn, Arianna, Autumn, Jasmine, Ashley and Marcus; great grandchildren, Emry, Evalynn, Athena, Tristin, Hailynn, Helen and Castor; brother, Marvin (Diane) Donnelly and their daughter Kari,nephew Maurice Donnelly Jr.; along with numerous other nieces and nephews.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Henrietta Donnelly, brother Maurice Donnelly, brother Larry Brand, and daughter in law Pamela.

Memorial Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brent Montgomery officiating. &nbsp;Burial of ashes will follow at the North Platte City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. To 4:00 P.M. Services will he held following all current COVID-19 procedures.

Jean M. (Donnelly) Hardy (1954-2020)

Fred Seifer, age 98, of McPherson County,Nebraska, passed away at his daughter's home south of Hershey, Nebraska on Friday, August 28, 2020.

Fred was born on the family farm, 26 miles northwest of Sutherland, to Fred and Emma Seifer on April 29, 1922.&nbsp; He attended District #60 grade school then worked for several area farmers.

Fred served three years in the U.S. Army during World War II and served in the European Theater.&nbsp; He was injured in action and received the Purple Heart.&nbsp; Following his honorable discharge, he returned home.

On April 30, 1948, Fred married Iona Lunkwitz in North Platte and together they enjoyed 72 years of marriage.&nbsp; The couple made their home on the ranch 30 miles northwest of Sutherland and lived there all their lives and raised three children.

Fred served a number of years as treasurer then secretary at School District #15, was on the McPherson County Fire Board, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Sutherland.

In their free time, Fred and Iona enjoyed playing cards, dancing and swimming.&nbsp; He loved his family, especially Iona.

Along with his wife, Fred was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Seifer; sisters, Esther (Bert) Bosch, Helene (Harry) Hokenson and Martha (Eugene) King; brothers-in-law, Charles Morgan, Bob King, Harold Liggett, Tom Neilsen, Charlie Lunkwitz, Bill Lunkwitz, Roy (Florence) Lunkwitz, Irven Lunkwitz and Frank Lunkwitz; sisters-in-law, Lilly (Dale) Lavaley and Eunice (Gene) Hamlett; and son-in-law, John D. Streiff.

Fred is survived by his children, Connie Streiff, of Sutherland, Pauline (John) Blomstedt, of Hershey, and Dean (Sherri) Seifer, of Paxton; 17 grandchildren, Dawn (Brett) Haake, Gina (Jeff) Davis, Lana (Gregg) Klein, Lynn (Jeb) Rhods, Josh (Debbie) Streiff, Roka (Justin) Klein, John (Jessica) Blomstedt, Janet (Ben) Dutton, Jason (Staci) Blomstedt, JoLynn (Lance) Mecham, Jeff (Tasha) Blomstedt, Joseph (Kaylin) Blomstedt, Justin (Jami) Blomstedt, Jordan (Aubrey) Blomstedt, Kate Seifer, Mara (James) Thiessen and Clay (Hannah) Seifer; 45 great-grandchildren and a great great-grandson.

Iona Seifer, age 90, of McPherson County, passed away at her daughter’s home south of Hershey on Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

Iona was born to Charles and Iva Lunkwitz on the family farm 10 miles northwest of Sutherland on December 11, 1929.&nbsp; She started school at the age of 4 and attended Riverview, a mile from home, then went on to graduate from Sutherland High School in 1946.

Iona started working after high school, she was a telephone operator at Sutherland and worked various other jobs.
