Pamela Sue Seberger, 67, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 19, 1956, in Valentine, Nebraska to Dick and Almira (Shelbourn) Jeffers. She graduated from Valentine High School with the class of 1974. Pam graduated from Hastings Community College in 1980 where she received her associate's degree in Dental Hygiene. On July 16, 1983, Pam married Bill Seberger in Valentine, Nebraska. Together they have three daughters: Jessica, Sarah, and Elizabeth.

In 2020, Pam retired after 40 years of practicing dental hygiene. In July of 2023, Pam and William celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Pam loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a huge fan of Husker Volleyball. Her passions included crocheting blankets for her grandchildren, quilting, and crafts of all types. Pam loved gathering with family and friends. She believed in the importance of gathering and celebrating family traditions.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband, Bill Seberger of Lexington; father, Dr. Dick and Kim Jeffers of Valentine; daughters, Jessica Seberger &amp; Chase Olson of Lincoln, Sarah &amp; Kevin Ward of Lincoln, and Elizabeth Seberger &amp; Corbin Einspahr of Grand Island; grandchildren, Hazel, Maeve, Olivia, Dominic, Ecko, and twins to be born in early 2024; siblings, Dr. Bob Jeffers &amp; Robb Green of Denver, Colorado, Pat &amp; Craig Potter of Lincoln, Tom Jeffers &amp; Carin Finch of Grand Island, and Rick &amp; Deb Jeffers of Valentine; brothers &amp; sisters-in law, Rick &amp; Michelle Seberger, Alan &amp; Katy Seberger, Mary &amp; Greg Hiatt, Ken &amp; Dee Seberger, &nbsp;Diane &amp; Alan Pryor, Dan &amp; Mary Jo Seberger, Dennis &amp; Melinda Seberger, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Pam is preceded in death by her mother, Almira (Shelbourn) Jeffers, father-in-law, Richard Seberger and mother-in-law, Kathleen (O'Connor) Seberger.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on October 27, 2023, at 6 p.m. at District 22, 75905 Rd 431, in Lexington, Nebraska.

Pamela Sue Seberger (1956-2023)

&nbsp; Phyllis Peak,&nbsp; 84 of Paxton departed her earthly life on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 at Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland, NE.

She was born May 23, 1939, and grew up on her grandparents’ farm south of Paxton.&nbsp; She attended Keith County School District 16 (a one-room schoolhouse) through the eighth grade.&nbsp; Upon graduating from the eighth grade, she attended and graduated from the Paxton Consolidated School in 1957.&nbsp; She then attended Kearney State College in Kearney.

Phyllis taught in a rural school south of Paxton and later in the Grant Elementary School.

While her two boys were growing up she was a “stay-at-home mom” enjoying all their activities and accomplishments.&nbsp; After the boys were gone from home she worked at Foulks Pipe/Paxton Equipment, the Bank of Paxton, and Paxton Consolidated Schools.

She was a lifetime member of the Paxton United Methodist Church and she enjoyed volunteering at the Paxton Public Library.&nbsp; Her family, pets, books, and school were the passions of her life.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ali and Alice Steudler, parents George and Edith Steudler, a sister Loretta Reigenborn, daughter-in-law Kristi Peak, and her granddaughter Rhiannon Peak.&nbsp;&nbsp;She is survived by her sons, Vance Peak of Paxton, and Michael (Kelly) Peak of Kearney, and her granddaughters, Tory of Omaha and Sydney (Jarrett) Johnston, and great-grandson Cooper of Lincoln.&nbsp; A niece, Toni Klocker, and two nephews, Rodney Reigenborn and Mark Ragenborn all of Denver.

Memorial&nbsp; Services will be held at the Paxton United Methodist Church in Paxton, NE at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 28th, 2023, and will be officiated by Pastor Mark Baldwin with inurnment to follow at the Paxton Cemetery. Phyllis J. Peak (1939-2023)

Bob W. Davenport, 93, of Overton, Nebraska passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, Nebraska.&nbsp; Bob was born October 9, 1930, to Arnold and Esther (Schroeder) Davenport in Hebron, Nebraska.&nbsp;

Following his schooling, Bob was employed at Foote Oil Company in Chester, Nebraska and it was there that he met Lillias Gehle, who was employed as a bookkeeper.&nbsp; The two were married on July 16, 1952 in Stoddard, Nebraska.&nbsp; Shortly after they married, Bob entered the military and served from 1952 to 1954 in Nuremberg, Germany.&nbsp; The couple moved to Overton in February of 1957 to start Foote Oil Company which he owned and managed until his retirement.

Bob and Lillias were blessed with three children: Danny Lee, Konnie Kay and Tammy Jane.&nbsp; In his younger years Bob was very active in the community and served in many capacities at the Overton Bank, Overton Volunteer Fire Department, American Legion, Village Board, Overton Public Schools, Cemetery Board and United Methodist Church. &nbsp;Bob enjoyed golfing, camping, traveling, woodworking and yardwork.&nbsp; As well as having coffee with his friends and spending time with family.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Konnie (Kevin) Turner of Overton and Tammy Blankenship of Kearney; granddaughter, Emmy Raastad and fiancé Travis Long of Overton, Tucker Turner of Omaha, Brett Blankenship of Omaha, and Brock (Chloe) Blankenship of Hickman, Nebraska; great-grandchildren Kaven and Jorja Raastad of Overton, Titus and Asher Blankenship of Hickman; brother Ray (Sharon) Davenport of Belleville, Kansas; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Esther, wife Lillias, son Danny, brothers Arnold, Jr., Gale and Allen; sister Vernetta Ruprecht, son in law Bruce Blankenship.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Overton United Methodist Church with Pastor Venedith Vargas, officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Interment with Full Military Honors will be in Overton Cemetery at Overton.

Bob W. Davenport (1930-2023)

Ronald J. Most, 87 of rural Ogallala, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in the Ogallala Community Hospital.

Ron was born on December 27, 1935, in Ogallala, Nebraska to Fred and Elizabeth Most (Blomenkamp). Ron attended School District 22 and Ogallala High School, graduating with the class of 1953. Ron was a captain in the ARNG (National Guard) from 1956-1966. He attended boot camp in Fort Benning, Georgia, and Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

On April 10, 1955, Ron was united in marriage to Kathleen Smith at the United Methodist Church in Ogallala. The family made their home on the original homestead. To this union, three children were born: Sheila (Dave) Watson, Sheri (Bill) Blauwiekel, and Gregg (Stephanie) Most. As the family grew Ron and Kathy enjoyed the following grandkids: Amber (Daniel) Gleasure, Alicia (special friend Matt Friedman) Watson, Tara (Clara) Blauwiekel, Troy Blauwiekel, Trapper (Katrina) Most, Tyler (Sarah) Most, and Elizabeth (Craig) Kaiser. They also have 14 great-grandkids and many nieces and nephews.

Ron was in FFA in High School and continued that passion as a farmer/rancher. He loved raising livestock. Ron farmed/ranched with his brothers as Most Brothers. The Most Brothers received the Twin Platte NRD Conservation Award in 1994. Most Brothers also received the Nebraska Pioneer Farm Award in 1995 for 100 years of continuous family ownership.

Ron thoroughly enjoyed his grandkids and great-grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dwaine and Kenny Most, one sister Harreette Kurkowski, two grandchildren Tabitha and Katie Most, and his sister and brother-in-law Janice and Jerry Hansmeier.

He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was baptized on October 18, 1936, and confirmed on May 22, 1949. Ron was an elder and treasurer of St John’s Lutheran Church for many, many years.

Visitation will be Friday, October 27th, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ogallala, NE.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at 2:00 P.M., at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ogallala, NE with Rev. Albert Bader officiating.

Interment will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors with Ogallala Honor Guard.

Memorials have been established for St. John’s Lutheran Church and The Orphan Grain Train.

Ronald J. Most (1935-2023)

Kathleen “Kathy” Mary Collins, 60, passed away October 19, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Lincoln surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Kathy was born July 3, 1963 at Wiesbaden U.S. Army base in Frankfurt, Germany. &nbsp;Kathy was the second born to Michael and Eileen (McGroarty) Mooney. &nbsp;The family grew and after the birth of two more siblings the family left Army life and made North Platte, NE their home. Kathy attended St. Patrick’s Catholic schools and after took up waitressing at many local restaurants. &nbsp;She was a wonderful server who always had a smile and earned herself the name, “Chatty Kathy”, which she was until the end.

Kathy met and married the love of her life, Terry Collins Sr. on October 18, 1982 in Denver, CO. &nbsp;They were married for 41 years and one day. From that union they had two children. &nbsp;Besides being a wonderful wife, mom, friend, and waitress, she was an avid reader, loved cats, and her grandchildren. &nbsp;

Those left to treasure her memories are her loving husband, Terry Collins Sr of North Platte; daughter, Tia Collins of Lincoln; son, Terry (Bonnie) Collins of Hershey; brothers, Pat Mooney of Florence, AL and Mike (Terrie) Mooney of North Platte; step-mother, Linda Mooney of Yankton, SD; grandchildren, Anthony Carrillo of North Platte, Vadania, Kane, Amelia, and Mac Collins all of Hershey; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. &nbsp;Also surviving are father-in-law, Lewis Collins of North Platte, and many loving sister and brother in-laws, cousins, and great friends.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother, Eileen (McGroarty) Mooney at the tender age of 15; her father, Michael Mooney; sister, Maureen Mooney; sister-in-law, Carol Mooney; and brother-in-law, Danny Collins.&nbsp;

Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Veterans Cemetery, near Maxwell with Father Vidya Sagar Arikotla officiating. &nbsp;Visitation will be from 12-1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 30th at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements. &nbsp;

Kathleen "Kathy" Mary Collins (1963-2023)

Kenneth M. Trygstad, 86, of North Platte, NE passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Ken was born on February 9, 1937 in Rapid City, SD, the son of Daniel C. and Hilda (Zebell) Trygstad. &nbsp;Ken grew up in the Rapid City area and graduated from Rapid City High School in 1954. &nbsp;He then attended the University of South Dakota and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. &nbsp;He married Joan E. Erickson on September 17, 1958 in Montrose, SD and together they had four children.

Ken worked in operational management and sales management for most of his career. &nbsp;He worked for over 32 years with Haggerty’s Department Store in Rapid City, SD, then with Abby Garman Corporation in Jackson Hole, WY, U-Haul Center in Washington State, and Montgomery/Kone Elevator Corporation in Sioux Falls and Rapid City, SD. &nbsp;Following his retirement Ken and Joan moved to Blackhawk, SD, to Denver, CO for a short time, and finally to North Platte, NE.

Ken was very active in all the churches he was a member serving on the Church Council in the position of President and Treasurer for several years. &nbsp;He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rapid City and at Messiah Lutheran Church in North Platte in recent years. &nbsp;He was an over 50-year member of the Masonic Mt. Rushmore Lodge AF&amp;AM #220, and lifetime member of Elks Lodge #1187, and long-term member of Jaycees, and the morning Optimist Club. &nbsp;He was active in the Chamber of Commerce in Rapid City, Baken Park Small Business Association, and the Boy Scouts of America. &nbsp;He always tried to be active and supportive of all his children’s activities, and when he was not at work, he was spending time with his wife and children. &nbsp;He loved hunting and fishing along with his sons, and camping as a family. &nbsp;Ken will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Ken’s memory are his wife of 65 years, Joan; children, Mark (Mary Celeste) Trygstad of Augusta, GA, Patricia (Paul) Johnson of Lakeville, MN, Paul (Candy) Trygstad of Windsor, CO, and Kaylene (Terry) Sodawasser of North Platte; grandchildren, Martin L. (Christy) Johnson, Matthew P. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Ralph Darrell, Leroy, and Vernon Trygstad; sister, Rebecca Gowan; and step-grandson, Melchor Rosabal. &nbsp;

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Messiah Lutheran Church in North Platte, NE with Pastor Anne Durboraw officiating. &nbsp;Burial will follow at a later date in Pine Lawn Cemetery in Rapid City, SD. &nbsp;Visitation will be from 1-7 pm, with the family receiving friends will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday, October 26th at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements. &nbsp;Masonic ritual service will follow at 7 pm.

Kenneth Martin Trygstad (1937-2023)

&nbsp; Adrienne Marie (Bogers) Rector went home with Jesus on October 22, 2023.She was surrounded at home by her husband and children, listening to her favorite songs. She was 66.

Adrienne was born August 7, 1957, in Glendive, MT, to MaryAnn (Vuckelic)and Adrian John Bogers.&nbsp; She was raised in Crystal Lake, IL, and moved to North Platte in 1972 where she attended Saint Patrick's Catholic High School.

On February 8, 1975, Adrienne married the love of her life, and father of her children, Robert Jay Rector. Together they had five children. Adrienne lived in her faith and put God first. She was Jesus' biggest fan. Her favorite past time was to be with family, and she took pride in being a mother.

Adrienne was a talented artist, who painted, wrote and did crafts with her grandchildren. She read her bible and discussed scripture daily. Adrienne embodied her values including her unwavering acceptance of all, without judgment.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents, MaryAnn and Adrian Bogers; brother, Rick Bogers; and granddaughter, Abigail Christine Rector.

Jimmie was born to parents Alfred Max Redden and Leota Marie
(Tucker) on January 31, 1952 in Benkelman, Nebraska. 

On September 7, 1974, Jim married Sharon Kay Duval in
Wellfleet, NE.&nbsp; Two children were born to
this union:&nbsp; Jon And Lea Redden.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Max
Redden, and his mother, Leota Marie Tucker, a sister, Mary Ella Heiman and a
brother, Carl Allen Redden.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Redden of North Platte,
his two children Jon(Darcy)Redden of Tennessee and Lea Redden(Jeff Riggins) of
North Platte, grandchildren Austin(Janie)Redden, Robey Redden, Ean(Kayla)Redden,
Zaiden Riggins, and Alden Riggins; Great-grandkids Selah Redden, Levi Redden
and Baby Redden due Nov. 2023; Two brothers, Alfred (Sharon) Redden, and Fred L
Redden and a sister, Bessie (Philip) Woodard, and a host of other family
members. 

Jim enjoyed playing and watching many sports and helping
with the youth programs. He was a giant Nebraska Husker fan, enjoyed fishing,
hunting, gardening,&nbsp; and doing handy
work. 

Jim was a hard worker and worked many trades in his lifetime
that spanned from carpentry to well drilling to Railroad Carman and many things
in-between. 

We want to invite you to a Celebration of life to Honor Jim.
It will be held November 4th 2023 in Wellfleet, NE at the Wellfleet
community hall. Time will be 1-5pm and you may come and go as you like. We will
have a Eulogy at the beginning, and we will be serving one of Jim’s favorites: Goulash. We ask if you would like to bring a salad or dessert to share we would

Dick was born June 3, 1926, to Arzie and Ora Allman in Jane Lew, WV, where he grew up and attended school.&nbsp; After graduating high school, Dick enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1944-47. On April 6, 1947, Dick married Faye Cooper in DeKalb, IL.&nbsp; They lived in Bloomington, IL while Dick attended Illinois State University.&nbsp; He earned his Bachelor's Degree in History then they moved to DeKalb and later to Denver in 1959.&nbsp; Dick sold insurance with State Farm then Allstate until retiring.&nbsp; Dick and Faye moved to North Platte in 2015 and were members of First United Methodist Church. Dick loved traveling and camping.&nbsp; He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and brother, Maxon Allman. Survivors include his children, Richard Allman of Plant City, FL, Kathy Althen (Craig) of Bozeman, MT, and Jana Allman (John Forsling) of Lemoyne; grandchildren, Jackie Monie (Heath) of North Platte, Matt Allman (Heather) of Edgewood, MD, and Layna Allman of Sarasota, FL; great-grandchildren, Violet and Lilac Monie; and other family.

&nbsp; On October 21, 2023, at the age of 88, Levaun "Sis" Beyer passed away at her home in North Platte surrounded by her family. She was born in Great Bend, KS, on July 4, 1935, to Howard and Della Hand.&nbsp; After moving to North Platte in 1947, she attended NPHS then got married. On September 30, 1951, Sis married Richard "Dick" Beyer in North Platte.&nbsp; They had four children and lived in a home Dick built. Sis worked for Economy Glass, Beyer's Curtis-Mathis, then the North Platte Public Library until retiring. Sis had a special place in her heart for cats and dogs.&nbsp; She was a founding member of Paws-itive Partners and active with them for many years and she and Dick frequently transported rescue dogs to Colorado. She was a great wife, mother and caregiver to Dick.&nbsp; She especially loved her kids and grandkids and will be greatly missed. Levaun "Sis" Beyer (1935-2023)

&nbsp;&nbsp; Gaylin Ray Hartzer, age 89, passed away on October 18, 2023 at Jefferson Community Health and Life Hospital in Fairbury, NE. &nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Gaylin was born on April 21, 1934, to Willis and Inez (Cross) Hartzer on the farm in Dundy County, South of Wauneta, NE. &nbsp;He had one sister, Shirley, and two brothers, Wallace (Ace) and Harold (Duce). He graduated from Wauneta High School in 1952. &nbsp;He went to California to work at a milling company and joined the Army in 1956. &nbsp;He served for three years, mainly in Alaska, and then worked at Martin Missile in Castle Rock, Colorado. He returned to farming in Wauneta and married the love of his life, Loyann Taylor, on July 22, 1962 in Culbertson, NE. They were married for over 60 years until her death in September 2022. &nbsp;To this union four children were born: Gaylin Jr., Lorrie, Phillip and Kris.

&nbsp; &nbsp; Gaylin loved being a farmer. &nbsp;When asked what he would do if he won the lottery his response was “Put it into farming until I am broke again.” &nbsp;He supplemented his farm income by putting up television antennas, putting jacks in the Frenchman River, working at Wauneta Roller Mills and driving school bus for Wauneta Public School. He enjoyed many things during his lifetime besides farming. &nbsp;When he was a young man he enjoyed coyote hunting and was always telling people about those stories. &nbsp;He loved playing cards, among his favorites were gin rummy, pitch, pinochle, and cribbage. &nbsp;There were not too many nights that didn’t end with a game of rummy with Loyann. &nbsp;Another much enjoyed activity was softball – playing it in his younger days, umpiring as he got older and watching his granddaughters play at district and state in his later years. &nbsp;He enjoyed fishing and loved all the many dogs he owned throughout the years.

&nbsp; &nbsp; Anyone who knew Gaylin would say two things about him – he was ornery and he loved to sing. &nbsp;He was so ornery that he was known to many of the men in Wauneta as “Joker”, always playing tricks, trying to startle you, or making witty replies. He sang with his mom from a very young age and was still singing in his bed at the hospital. &nbsp;After Loyann’s passing he moved to Cedarwood Assisted living in Fairbury to be closer to his great-grandchildren. The people who came to know him at the assisted living facility in Fairbury would comment on how they loved to hear him sing. &nbsp;His positive outlook on life will be missed.&nbsp;

Gaylin Hartzer, Sr. (1934-2023)

&nbsp; Joseph “Jody” Donald Bopp II was born to Joseph Bopp and Mary (Casebeer) on September 27, 1951 in Imperial, NE. Joseph, or “Jody” as he was affectionately known by many, grew up in Imperial and graduated from Chase County High School in 1969.

In January of 1969 Jody answered the call to serve his country and proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and served until 1975, obtaining the rank of Electronics Technician Radar Petty Officer 2nd class. After completing his duty to Country, Jody returned to Imperial and began working for Great Plains Communication as an office technician for 42 years.

On November 16, 1984, Jody married the love of his life, Debra Fuller. An extra bonus, Deb had a son, David, whom Jody could not wait to adopt. On May 23, 1985 Jody officially adopted David and proudly claimed him as his own.

In addition to serving his country, Jody also served his community well. Jody was a proud member of the Imperial Volunteer Fire Dept., serving for nearly 35 years. He taught at Fire School for several of those years. He was a member of the Eagles Club, an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7081 having become a Third Degree Knight.

Jody was a proud Eagle Scout and loved giving back to his community. He helped start the community Christmas Dinner and enjoyed serving during the holidays. When he wasn’t giving back to Imperial, Jody loved to hunt, fish and travel the world. He and Deb took several trips to Europe and beyond. He loved seeing the world but was sincerely amazed with Christmas Markets.

Jody’s passion was to serve others, and he genuinely took to heart what it means to love thy neighbor.

Jody leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Deb; their son, David (Danielle) Bopp, 2 brothers, Phillip (Lois) and Richard Bopp; 1 sister, Margaret (Alvin) Ruefenacht and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Imperial. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday October 25, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Fr. Lothar Gilde officiating.

Robert grew up in North Platte and he married Alice Borron. &nbsp;Robert worked at the sale barn for many years and later worked for Weathercraft. &nbsp;He was a very good carpenter and built a barn on his own place. &nbsp;Robert liked to travel and vacation in the camper with his wife. &nbsp;He enjoyed going to cattle sales and auctions.

Survivors include son, Robert Glen Cheever Jr. of North Platte; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Darlene) Cheever, and Billy Joe Clark; sister, Joyce Tyan; several nieces and nephews as well as many other family members and friends.

Robert Glen Cheever Sr. (1946-2023)

Anita F. Fagot, 95, formerly of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 at Brookestone Gardens in Kearney.

Anita was born on June 19, 1928, at Eustis, Nebraska to Ludwig and Anna (Thumm) Rieker. She received her education from Eustis Public Schools and graduated from Eustis High School with the class of 1946. Anita taught in a rural school near Lexington immediately after graduating from high school. In 1948, she taught at District 52 and District 16 N.

She was united in marriage to Paul Fagot on August 3, 1948 in Lexington at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Five children were blessed to this union: Mark, Theresa, John, Dave and Alan “Buck”. The family lived on a farm north of Lexington until they moved into town in 1952. Anita focused her efforts on caring for the home and raising her children. She worked side-by-side with Paul as the owner and bookkeeper for Fagot Cartage and Storage from 1952 until 1977. She then went on to be the secretary at St. Ann’s Catholic School from 1977 until they closed in 1988. Before retiring, Anita worked for The Credit Union for a few years, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Paul and Anita lived at Johnson Lake for about ten years before moving back to Lexington. Paul preceded her in death in 1996. Anita moved to Kearney in 2022 when her health started to decline.

Anita was a faithful member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church where she was involved through the church circles and was the church organist for over fifty years.

In her younger years, Anita and Paul attended many dance clubs and always looked forward to the Halloween parties. She also enjoyed playing cards and travelling with her sidekicks. Anita loved sports and was a diehard Nebraska Husker and Kansas City Royals fan. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Survivors include her children, Mark (Eunice) Fagot of Lexington, Theresa Puls of Holdrege, John Fagot of Lexington and Dave (Mag) Fagot of Johnson Lake; daughter-in-law, Becky Fagot of Elwood; nine grandchildren, Jake (Kasi) Fagot of Lexington, Mitch (Jessica) Fagot of Lexington, Sean (Becky) Puls of Kearney, Ryan (Julie) Puls of Holdrege, Julie (Alden) Weaver of Orange County, California, Jason (Tonya) Fagot of Lexington, Jeff Block (Kylee Hoffmaster) of Lexington, Lacie (Zach) Frazho of Elwood, and Anna Johnson of York; twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Raymond Rieker of Eustis.

Besides her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her son, Alan “Buck”; grandson, J.D. Puls; daughter-in-law, Marge Fagot; son-in-law, Terry Puls; sister, Mildred Stagemeyer and sister-in-law, Virginia Rieker.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Jose Chavez, officiating. The Mass will be live-streamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page.

Anita F. Fagot (1928-2023)

&nbsp; Edwin Murrell Thompson was born an only child to Murrell and Irene (Phifer) Thompson on October 30, 1942 in Benkelman Nebraska. Eddie grew up in Benkelman and graduated from Dundy County High School in 1961.

Throughout his life, Ed had a variety of different careers. He enjoyed many years with Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. He was proud to be the owner of Eddies Recreation until selling to Beth in 1989 and finished his working years in Blackhawk, CO as a greeter for casinos. He was affectionately known as “Eddie the Waiver”. So good at hospitality, he earned a nickname and a write-up in the Blackhawk newspaper.

Eddie loved motorcycles and the freedom they afford. He enjoyed long distance bike rides. In his free time, if Ed wasn’t riding the bike, hunting deer or pheasant, he could be found watching an old western film or any football game while in season.

Eddie loved football and enjoyed watching the sport. He never claimed complete allegiance to any one team, but he did seem to favor the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Dallas Cowboys.

Ed is survived by his children; Tami (Marty) Cline of Callaway, NE, Scott (Becky) Thompson of Gretna, NE, Michelle (Brad) Baney of Parks, NE; grandchildren, Tanner (Shayla) Cline, Connor Thompson, Brayden (Molly) Baney, Mckinzie Baney; one great-grandchild, Charlie Cline; his aunt, Naomi Davis; and numerous cousins.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. MT Tuesday, October 24 at Benkelman Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jim Gleason officiating.

In his free time, if Ed wasn’t riding the bike, hunting deer or pheasant, he could be found watching an old western film or any football game while in season.Eddie loved football and enjoyed watching the sport. Edwin Murrell Thompson (1942-2023)

&nbsp; Alan Wayne Blecha was born to Walt and Margaret Jean (Howard) Blecha on February 19, 1951 in Benkelman, NE. Alan grew up in north of Benkelman at Twin Lakes and graduated from Benkelman High School in 1969. Alan briefly attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln for a semester. His love for farming and animals was strong and he decided to return to Benkelman and farmed with his dad.

In the summer of 1972, he married Ellen Ham. As they built the farm together they created a family with three children, Ben, Char, and Dee.

Alan was blessed with a keen sense for animal behaviors and was without a doubt, a forward thinker. Alan focused much of his time on feed rations and improving farming equipment long before such ideas were commonplace. He would rebuild a new piece of equipment before he even put it in the field. He built a farrowing system far ahead of its time.

In 1979 Alan was awarded Outstanding Young Farmer Dundy County for his animal husbandry and general farming abilities.

Arm wrestling champion and pulling guard, he was a powerful man. His eyes would light up at the notion of Benkelman beating Wray his senior year.

He loved his kids as best he could, taught them to dream and always look to make the world a better place. His smile radiated so much you could feel how much he cared for you.

Due to health reasons beyond his control, Alan was no longer able to continue along the path he hoped for and was forced into early retirement at a young age.

In his later stages of life, Alan was blessed to become a resident of the Imperial Manor Nursing Home. He enjoyed his time at the manor and the numerous friendships that were formed. Alan was well cared for and genuinely loved everyone who cared for him over the years.

Through it all, Alan never stopped dreaming and smiling.

Alan is survived by his children, Benjamin (Renee), Charlene (Curtis) Sohm, and Deidre Blecha; grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Madison, Emma, Lila, Henry, Hattie and J.J., his brother, Larry Blecha (Linda), sister-in-law Jean Blecha; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Cynthia Fries.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 A.M. MT Monday, October 23 at Zion Lutheran Church in Benkelman with Pastor Jim Gleason officiating.

Alan Wayne Blecha (1951-2023)

Kimberly Kae Allen was born in McCook, Nebraska on July 7th, 1960, to Larry and Janet(Eckhardt) Rich. She grew up in Littleton, Colorado and lived there until returning to raise her family in the same small town of McCook that she loved to visit during the holidays and summer months.&nbsp;

Kim was married to Leo Wyatt in 1980 and from this union they birthed two sons: Tyler and Travis Wyatt.&nbsp; Kim was widowed in 1990.&nbsp; Relocating to McCook a few years later, she met Robert Allen. They were married in the fall of 1995 and a year later they birthed their daughter, Katlyn Wilson(Allen). They continued to live and raise the family in McCook. Kim had a passion for care. Which was easy to see in her lifelong career of nursing care. She was a beacon of compassion not just to the patients in her care, but to her friends and family. She would always make sure everyone was doing as best they could, crack a joke or sing a funny song to get the spirits lifted. The one thing Kim was most passionate about, was animals of all kinds. From rescuing them, to having her own personal zoo at times, there was never an animal she didn’t want to befriend and love.

She was fortunate enough to get the title of “Grammy Kimmy” in 2015 and took a lot of pride in being “a cool grandma” as she would always remind us. She loved watching her grandkids grow up, especially sharing her sense of humor with them, it really reignited the little kid within her spirit all over.

Kim passed away at her home in McCook on October 16, 2023 due to health complications. She never lost her sense of humor, and her passion to care for others, even when she needed the care herself.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Garrett and Dorothy Eckhardt(McCook) and Royal and Louise Rich(McCook), her first husband, Leo Wyatt.&nbsp;

Kim’s spirit will live on through the lives her parents Janet and Larry Rich, of McCook, Neb, her sister Stacy(Mark) Marra of Phoenix, Ariz., cousin Chris(Eckhardt)(Mike) Bannister of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and of course through her children, Tyler Wyatt of McCook, Neb and Travis (Lisa) Wyatt of Castle Rock, CO, and her daughter Katlyn(Tyler) Wilson(Porum, OK). Dorothy Schwartz, 93, formerly of Chappell passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 in Greeley, Colorado.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chappell with Reverend Neil Carlson officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in the Chappell Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time Wednesday at the church.

Dorothy was born in Denver, CO, March 14th&nbsp;1930. Her parents were Albert and Helen (Schwynoch) Huston of Julesburg, CO. She attended school at Sedgwick County High School in Julesburg as well as worked at Shaw’s Bakery.&nbsp;

She was united in marriage to Myron Schwartz in Chappell Sept. 7th, 1947. To this union they had four children: Myra Lynne,&nbsp;LeAnne&nbsp;Helen, Darrel William and Dennis Duane. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.&nbsp;

Myron and Dorothy farmed from 1947 to 2003 east of Chappell on the Schwartz family farm. She also worked at the Bonus Shop and Gambles hardware for several years. She loved sewing, cooking and spending time socializing. Active in the church with Sunday school, many school activities and later provided daycare for several children in the community.

Dorothy was loved and cherished by her friends and family. She will be dearly missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Schwartz; daughter, LeAnne&nbsp;Sewald; son-in-law, Michael Potter Sr; her parents Albert and Helen Huston.

She is survived by her children: Myra Potter, Darrel Schwartz (Kathy), Dennis Schwartz. Grandchildren Michelle, Melissa, Michael, Tyler, Trevor, Kalie, Kyle, Erin, Emilee and Nicholas. Great-grandchildren: Marcus, James, Sam, Shawn, Amanda, Alexis, Jayson, Taya, David, Ava and&nbsp;Aunikah. As well as six great-great-grandchildren: Michael, Jaxton, Thomas, Breanna,&nbsp;Broedyand&nbsp;Paislee.

Buddy was born on April 6, 1951, to Orville and Darlene Stinnette. Buddy graduated from Perkins County High School.

Buddy enjoyed collecting matchbox cars and antique toys. He liked to go to drag races. He loved his dogs and spent a great deal of time doting on them. Buddy also loved to go for drives and make the rounds with his canine companion by his side. He spent many years working with his father in elevator construction.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Brown of Lincoln; niece, Melissa, and her husband, Ryan Schmidt; and great-niece and nephew, Madelyn and William. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Darlene Stinnette, and his brother-in-law, Stan Brown.

Buddy Stinnette (1951-2023)

Bruce Kevin Brown, age 67, of Ogallala, Nebraska (formerly of Sierra Vista, Arizona) died peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in Ogallala.

Born in Arrington, Cambridgeshire, England on August 23, 1956, our dad became child number four of seven, to the late Rosvil and June Brown. Being an Air Force military brat, he “blessed” three school districts by attending their high schools and showed them all how to “have a good time”.&nbsp; He was an amazing athlete in both football and track. As a track star, he broke school records to include a US Defense Europe track record in the 400 and 200 meters. After leaving Europe, he graduated from Belton High School in Belton, TX.

He is one of the strongest men we know. Battling Stage IV cancer since September 2016, he was given only six months to live, but he said it would take a lot more than that for him to give up. It is&nbsp; no surprise that his favorite child was chosen to write his obituary. She is a lot like her dad, and she chose herself for this task. She is me, so hold onto your pearls because our dad was a retired boozer who loved being the “supervisor” of this thing called life.

As a young, driven entrepreneur, he started two cable businesses in the San Francisco Bay area. This created a passion for cable which guided him to bring his family to southern Arizona, establish roots, and finish his 30-year cable career. After retiring from a career in cable, he decided to become a trucker and get paid to see beautiful America. Being on the road for a little over 10 years, he fell in love with Ogallala, NE, which he was proud to call home.

If there was anything that our dad loved in this lifetime, it was his family. He and his now ex-wife, Kim, ran off as wild teenagers to get married in Carson City, Nevada, in April of 1976. He succeeded in one of his most important goals in life, which was to have six children within 10 years. In the late summer of 1977, they welcomed a strong-willed son, Michael, and in the winter of 1979, they were blessed with a princess named Sally. Our dad and mom needed a little break but started up again to have a special son, Dustin, in the spring of 1984, a beautiful daughter, Pauline, in 1985, another daughter in 1986, who later became his favorite child, Erica(me), and a baby boy Barret in 1987 who has been waiting in Heaven for his daddy since he was two years old.

Aside from his love for his family, our dad loved music, which meant he was the first one on the dance floor and the last one to leave. He was known for jamming out on his guitar and harmonica with his buddies and cousins and dancing the night away at every Oktoberfest that Sierra Vista had while we lived there.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Rosvil and June Brown, a brother Scott Brown, a nephew Christopher Brown, two grandsons Liam and Maximus Bush, and a son Barret James Brown.
