Wilbur Louis Allen, 88, of Stapleton passed away November 3, 2021 at home.&nbsp; He was born on December 16, 1932 to Louis and Mary Allen in Tryon. Wilbur grew up in Tryon and North Platte.&nbsp; On February 13, 1954 he married Betty Leiter in Sterling, Colorado.&nbsp; They made their home in McCook then in 1961 they moved to Denver.&nbsp; Wilbur was a butcher and worked in a packing plant.&nbsp; They moved to Stapleton in 1985 and opened Allen’s Lunch Café.&nbsp; They also raised emus and ostriches. Wilbur enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, painting and being with family and friends.&nbsp; He had a strong faith, loved his church and spending time with his family. Survivors include daughter, Vicky Allen of Stapleton; granddaughter, Jennifer Allen; grandson, Jerimiah Heisz; nine grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two special nephews, J.P. Wallace and Darren Wallace; two sisters, Karen Empfield of Stapleton and Zola (Bill) Karn of Stapleton; numerous other family members and friends. Paul "Jamie" Forch, 78, a longtime resident of Trenton, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his home in Trenton.&nbsp; Paul James Forch, was born north of Stratton, Nebraska, to Robert and Marguerite Forch September 11th,&nbsp;1942.&nbsp; He attended a one room school house near his home, walking daily through snow, uphill both ways with no shoes through the eighth grade. He attended high school in Stratton Nebraska, graduating in 1960.&nbsp; He pursued higher education at Kearney State College and received his degree in Business Education.&nbsp; Following a year teaching in Columbus, he moved to McCook and started teaching for McCook High School.&nbsp; &nbsp; In McCook, he met Patricia Hoyt of Culbertson and married her in 1968.&nbsp; He had two children who went on to do great things. Kimberly Hightower served in the United States Navy for 11 years as a Nurse Corps Officer and is now the Director of Nursing for Compassionate Home Health in Broomfield, CO. &nbsp;Chris Forch, who has selected for Captain in the United States Navy, and is currently an instructor at Surface Warfare School in Newport, RI, training future executive and commanding officers for the fleet.&nbsp; Kim is married to Chad Hightower, of Grant, Nebraska, and has two children, Zach and Lizzy. Chris is married to Kristi (Hartel) of Murray, Nebraska and has two children, Chase and Drew.&nbsp; Jamie taught for over 30 years, reaching three generations of McCook residents.&nbsp; Following retirement in 2000, Jamie continued work, disguised as hobbies, raising game birds for another 10 years, as well as other odd projects on his farm.&nbsp; Further he and his wife spent 10 years summering in Ninilchik, Alaska where they made numerous friends and enjoyed the spoils of Alaskan fishing waters.&nbsp; Jamie was an active Boy Scout Leader with troop 219 of Stratton and Master of the Dutch Oven cooking method.&nbsp; Jamie had a huge heart and was always willing to help (or supervise with tons of sage advice) those in the community as well as his brothers on their various farming ventures. He was proceeded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Willard Hoyt and mother-in-law, Violet Hoyt of Culbertson Nebraska, his brother, Larry “Fritz” Forch, and nephew, Larry K Forch.&nbsp; He was also preceded in death by numerous deer, pheasants, geese, walleye and halibut by his own hand. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pat; his daughter, Kim; his son, Chris and four grandchildren; sister, Linda; brothers, Robert “Bob” and Dave and numerous nieces and nephews. Jamie always wanted to live a small life; however, he made an incredible impact on so very many.&nbsp; He was a Lover of Limericks, Professor of Politics, Supervisor and Educator Extraordinaire.&nbsp; He will be dearly missed.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday November 27, 2021 at Community United Methodist Church in Stratton.&nbsp; Inurnment will take place at future date.

Paul "Jamie" S. Forch (1942-2021)

Ross B. Bartlett, 72, of Gothenburg, NE, died November 7, 2021 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg, NE.&nbsp; Ross was born August 26, 1949 in Gothenburg, the son of Roy and Catherine (Hull) Bartlett. He grew up on a farm between Gothenburg and Cozad, attending school at District 30 for K- 8th grade. He graduated from Gothenburg High School with the class of 1967. On December 27, 1969 Ross married Mary Gunderson at St. Patrick's' Catholic Church in North Platte. To this union four children were born: Jason, Marcus, Brian and Katie; they lived on the Bartlett family farm. Ross was a third generation farmer/rancher, learning at an early age the love of the land and the importance of good stewardship.&nbsp; He spent many hours weathering the ups and downs involved in Ag Production and the cattle industry.&nbsp; Many hours were spent preparing the fields, putting up hay, caring for his cow/calf herd and his partnership with his son in M &amp; R Bartlett Feeders.&nbsp; Ross spent many hours sitting in the sale barn, he took great pride in putting together a good set of calves for the feed yard.&nbsp; He was very proud that his son Marc, a fourth generation farmer, and his grandson Tucker, a fifth generation farmer will continue on this Bartlett family legacy. Ross was a member of the Heartland Pulling Series where he had two John Deere tractors he pulled in the Antique division.&nbsp; In time he joined the Nebraska Truck and Tractor Pullers where he pulled his John Deere 4020 in the Limited Pro Stock division.&nbsp; He was a long time member of the Gothenburg Ag Committee where he loved to come up with Ag related events during the annual Harvest Festival, 4 wheeler POLO and farm chore relay were a few of his favorites.&nbsp; Ross also helped in both the State and National Corn Husking Contests held in Gothenburg in addition to organizing several Antique Tractor Pulls. Because of his love of the land and his strong work ethic, Ross was very proud to be part of the Cattle Industry and Ag Production knowing that his contributions to these industries were helping feed the world. &nbsp;Survivors include wife, Mary Bartlett of Cozad, NE; three sons, Jason Bartlett of Houston, TX, Marc (Taci) Bartlett of Gothenburg, Brian Bartlett of Dallas, TX and daughter, Katie (Brendon) of Parker, CO, six grandchildren: Tucker and Chesney Bartlett of Gothenburg, Emma, Ava, Isabell and Olivia Vlasin of Parker, CO; his sister Robin Bartlett and brother, Joe Bartlett; brothers-and-sisters in law Tom and Kathy Gunderson and Fred and Patti Gunderson all of Arizona, and his special fur friend Boone, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.&nbsp; Ross was preceded in death by father, Roy Bartlett, mother, Catherine Bartlett and his in-laws Dr. H.L. and Marcella Gunderson and sister in law, Kristie Bartlett. Ross Bartlett (1949-2021)

Ruth Sera Kamino, 96, of North Platte, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born December 9, 1924 in Hillrose, CO to Shiro and Mayo (Sera) Tamura.&nbsp;&nbsp; Ruth graduated in 1949 with a BS and in 1955 with a DVM from Colorado State University.&nbsp; On January 28, 1956 Ruth was united in marriage to Samuel Kamino at All Saints Episcopal Church in Sterling, CO.&nbsp; &nbsp;She practiced as a veterinarian at Valley Veterinary Clinic for many years, and was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior in North Platte.&nbsp; She volunteered for over 25 years with RSVP, and with many other organizations. Surviving are her daughter Ann Kamino of Lincoln; son, John Kamino (Miriam) of Snellville, GA; granddaughters, Angela and Allison; 4 nieces and 2 nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel; parents, Shiro and Mayo; step-father, Yonekichi Takeuchi; two sisters and a brother. Ruth Sera Kamino (1924-2021)

Funeral service for Mark Mulligan, age 56 of Thedford will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Open Bible Church in Dunning.&nbsp; Burial will be held at a later date.&nbsp; Mark Joseph Mulligan was unexpectedly called to his heavenly home on November 5th, 2021, at the age of 56. He was with his companion Gus. He is finally pain free and at peace! Mark Joseph Mulligan was born in Ainsworth, NE, on October 11th, 1965. He was the son of Bob and Mary (Denny) Mulligan. Mary said Mark was a month overdue, and never late to another event after that. Mark was their first cowboy, having two older sisters, Tanna and Christi, and a younger brother, Bobby. He was baptized in the Catholic Church as a baby. Mark grew up helping on the ranch as long as he could remember where his love of hunting developed at a young age. When he was 10 years old, he trapped and skinned numerous coyotes, stitching the hides if needed, and worked long days in the hayfield. Mark attended Ainsworth Elementary School and several country grade schools. He went on to attend Sandhills Public High School and graduated in 1984. He was active in Boy Scouts, football, rodeo, FFA, and was known for being a prankster throughout his school years, but his passion was chasing a coyote, tracking a coon, or hunting whatever was in season. He really enjoyed music, anything from Alabama to 80’s rock. On June 1, 1985, he married his high school sweetheart Judy Kay Bailey in an outdoor ceremony at Mark’s family home near Purdum, overlooking the river. Furthering his education, he attended Mid Plains Community College receiving his degree Building Construction Technology also studying small business management in 1986. After being blessed with their first son, Cassidy, and graduation, they moved their family to California where Mark had the opportunity to experience big city life. While there, he worked in construction, laying ceramic tile throughout Southern California, and golfed whenever possible. In 1987, Mark and Judy returned to their Nebraska roots where their family expanded with the births of Chancey in 1988 and Caleb in 1991. He was back in his element of deer, bird, and raccoon hunting, fishing, trapping, building projects, and spending time with his family. Camping was a favorite weekend activity with family and friends. Mark always set up the camp and cooked his famous campfire potatoes while everyone ran and played. Opening day of deer season was the highlight of the year with his children and family. His last big deer was shot on Uncle Tom’s ranch and is proudly mounted on the wall. He had the opportunity to achieve his dream of elk hunting and did not see any elk, but instead got chased by a moose. Mark should have been born 150 years before his time, preferring to spend his time enjoying the simplicity of life; no modern technology to deal with! Over the years, he worked remodeling numerous homes, including his mother’s and several other family members’, alongside his various full time jobs of Valentine Beverage, Moosman bridge, ranching, Hodges propane, brand inspecting, and most recently at the Department of Transportation. He was also a volunteer firefighter. He was a perfectionist, which came in handy in all his building projects. He struggled with letting others do something he could do himself. He was always on the move and had a project, even when his body was telling him to slow down. Mark was always willing to help others at the drop of a hat. Mark always dreamed of building his own home. He passed his carpentry skills to his sons, and later his grandson. He accomplished this dream alongside his sons, grandson and many family members or whoever else he could round up. When helping him, you waited for orders. He worked nonstop on his place planting trees, landscaping, and mowing the yard every 3 days. He allowed Judy, a housecat, in their new home that he fed and watered- it happened to be his prize bobcat mounted on the wall. However, Mark’s favorite pastime was spending time with his family including his nieces and nephews, and later his grandson: precious Harper Joseph. Harper and Mark spent time working on various projects, gardening, playing games, and continuing the camping tradition. Mark built a detailed barn with the family brand for Harper, even hand drawing the shingles, as well as toy guns, including a rifle with crosshairs, and special targets. Mark continued his prankster behavior playing cranks on anyone he could and also teasing children. Mark loved Western movies, especially those with John Wayne. He also had a whole collection of western books; Louis L’amour was his favorite. He even has a signed copy which he got by making his little brother chase down Louis L’amour’s van to get the autograph from him personally. A couple of his favorite quotes were “COURAGE is being scared to death, but SADDLING up anyway.” and “Hurry it up. We’re burnin’ daylight!” In his later years, Mark enjoyed kayaking. He got out of his comfort zone, traveling with friends and family from Hawaii to a Caribbean cruise. Grilling became a hobby, and he was always finding ways to perfect his ribs and brisket, even winning an award for them in a cook off. He became a Husker volleyball fan, especially a fan of #11, and enjoyed his first game in Lincoln with family. He also became more knowledgeable about politics and was concerned for our country.  </figure>Funeral service for Mark Mulligan, age 56 of Thedford will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Open Bible Church in Dunning.&nbsp; Burial will be held at a later date.&nbsp; Mark Joseph Mulligan was unexpectedly called to his heavenly home on November 5th, 2021, at the age of 56. He was with his companion Gus. He is finally pain free and at peace! Mark Joseph Mulligan was born in Ainsworth, NE, on October 11th, 1965. He was the son of Bob and Mary (Denny) Mulligan. Mary said Mark was a month overdue, and never late to another event after that. Mark was their first cowboy, having two older sisters, Tanna and Christi, and a younger brother, Bobby. He was baptized in the Catholic Church as a baby. Mark grew up helping on the ranch as long as he could remember where his love of hunting developed at a young age. When he was 10 years old, he trapped and skinned numerous coyotes, stitching the hides if needed, and worked long days in the hayfield. Mark attended Ainsworth Elementary School and several country grade schools. He went on to attend Sandhills Public High School and graduated in 1984. He was active in Boy Scouts, football, rodeo, FFA, and was known for being a prankster throughout his school years, but his passion was chasing a coyote, tracking a coon, or hunting whatever was in season. He really enjoyed music, anything from Alabama to 80’s rock. On June 1, 1985, he married his high school sweetheart Judy Kay Bailey in an outdoor ceremony at Mark’s family home near Purdum, overlooking the river. Furthering his education, he attended Mid Plains Community College receiving his degree Building Construction Technology also studying small business management in 1986. After being blessed with their first son, Cassidy, and graduation, they moved their family to California where Mark had the opportunity to experience big city life. While there, he worked in construction, laying ceramic tile throughout Southern California, and golfed whenever possible. In 1987, Mark and Judy returned to their Nebraska roots where their family expanded with the births of Chancey in 1988 and Caleb in 1991. He was back in his element of deer, bird, and raccoon hunting, fishing, trapping, building projects, and spending time with his family. Camping was a favorite weekend activity with family and friends. Mark always set up the camp and cooked his famous campfire potatoes while everyone ran and played. Opening day of deer season was the highlight of the year with his children and family. His last big deer was shot on Uncle Tom’s ranch and is proudly mounted on the wall. He had the opportunity to achieve his dream of elk hunting and did not see any elk, but instead got chased by a moose. Mark should have been born 150 years before his time, preferring to spend his time enjoying the simplicity of life; no modern technology to deal with! Over the years, he worked remodeling numerous homes, including his mother’s and several other family members’, alongside his various full time jobs of Valentine Beverage, Moosman bridge, ranching, Hodges propane, brand inspecting, and most recently at the Department of Transportation. He was also a volunteer firefighter. He was a perfectionist, which came in handy in all his building projects. He struggled with letting others do something he could do himself. He was always on the move and had a project, even when his body was telling him to slow down. Mark was always willing to help others at the drop of a hat. Mark always dreamed of building his own home. He passed his carpentry skills to his sons, and later his grandson. He accomplished this dream alongside his sons, grandson and many family members or whoever else he could round up. When helping him, you waited for orders. He worked nonstop on his place planting trees, landscaping, and mowing the yard every 3 days. He allowed Judy, a housecat, in their new home that he fed and watered- it happened to be his prize bobcat mounted on the wall. However, Mark’s favorite pastime was spending time with his family including his nieces and nephews, and later his grandson: precious Harper Joseph. Harper and Mark spent time working on various projects, gardening, playing games, and continuing the camping tradition. Mark built a detailed barn with the family brand for Harper, even hand drawing the shingles, as well as toy guns, including a rifle with crosshairs, and special targets. Mark continued his prankster behavior playing cranks on anyone he could and also teasing children. Mark loved Western movies, especially those with John Wayne. He also had a whole collection of western books; Louis L’amour was his favorite. He even has a signed copy which he got by making his little brother chase down Louis L’amour’s van to get the autograph from him personally. A couple of his favorite quotes were “COURAGE is being scared to death, but SADDLING up anyway.” and “Hurry it up. We’re burnin’ daylight!” In his later years, Mark enjoyed kayaking. He got out of his comfort zone, traveling with friends and family from Hawaii to a Caribbean cruise. Grilling became a hobby, and he was always finding ways to perfect his ribs and brisket, even winning an award for them in a cook off. He became a Husker volleyball fan, especially a fan of #11, and enjoyed his first game in Lincoln with family. He also became more knowledgeable about politics and was concerned for our country. Carol Ann Spangler, 80, of Oconto, Nebraska passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney. Carol was born on September 30, 1941, in Callaway, to Edwin and Daisy (Neth) Estergard. Carol grew up on a farm near Callaway and graduated from Callaway High School with the class of 1959. She married the love of her life, Dean Spangler on August 27, 1959 in North Platte. Carol and Dean were blessed with 62 years of marriage and two children to this union: Bruce and Debra. Carol made a home and helped on the farm until her children graduated, then worked at Callaway Good Samaritan Nursing Home and Callaway District Hospital. Carol retired to spend more time with her family and be present for as many special events and activities as possible. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Carol delighted in providing for her family. She was a skilled cook and baker, always excited to try new recipes and perfect the tried and true dishes her family loved. She diligently tended a vegetable garden that supplied plenty of food for canning and freezing. The vegetable garden was accompanied by numerous flower beds containing daffodils, tulips, lilacs, irises, roses, day-lilies, and peonies, to name a few. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. She spent many hours putting together beautiful puzzles, and in her younger years, taking her children fishing. She was a former 4-H leader, a member of the Redfern Social Club, and a member of the Callaway United Methodist Church. Carol is survived by her husband, Dean Spangler of Oconto; her children, Bruce (Diane) Spangler of Callaway and Debra (Steve) Bisgaard of Piedmont, South Dakota; four grandchildren, Greg Spangler of Lincoln, Jenna (Chanc) McIntosh of Broken Bow, Jamie (James) Hauer of Piedmont, South Dakota, and Michaela (fiancé Wyatt Harwood) Hauer of Piedmont, South Dakota; one great-granddaughter, Kara McIntosh of Broken Bow, and one great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Anita (Marvin) Smith of Callaway, Dale (Shirley) Estergard of Callaway and Judy (Allen) Meredith of Callaway; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Fred) Morrison of O’Neil; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Ardis Tena Lorimer, age 88, of McCook, NE passed away on November 3, 2021 at Hillcrest Caring Center in McCook. Ardis was born November 14, 1932 in Cambridge, NE to parents Ovra Benjamin and Josephine Florence (Heitman) Trosper. She was one of thirteen siblings who attended school in Cambridge, graduating from Cambridge High School with the Class of 1950.&nbsp; On December 24, 1957, Ardis married Willard Lorimer in Lincoln, NE.&nbsp; To this union three children were born: Michael, Mark and Tena. The family eventually moved to the Wauneta, NE community where they made their home until moving to McCook in 1994.&nbsp; Ardis was employed by Parker Hannifin in McCook from 1978 to 1994 when she retired.&nbsp; Ardis was a member of the Methodist faith.&nbsp; She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening, canning numerous batches of green beans from her garden over the years.&nbsp; Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved to spend time with them.&nbsp; Ardis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard Lorimer; three brothers, Elden, Gary and Fredrick Trosper; six sisters, infants, Twila and Marie, Geneva Fuller, Roberta Menges, Mildred Farr and Donna Wier.&nbsp; Those left to celebrate her life include her children, Michael (Laura) Lorimer of Imperial, NE, Mark Lorimer of Broken Bow, NE, and Tena (Brian) Gebers of Lincoln, NE; brother, Wren (Lou) Trosper of Arapahoe, NE; sisters, Joyce Boyer of Smith Center, KS and Dixie (Leonard) Swanson of Curtis, NE; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and life long friends.

Linda and Bill moved to Broomfield, Colorado where they raised their family, sons Jason and David.&nbsp; Passionate about the outdoors, Linda and her family could often be found camping in the Colorado mountains.&nbsp; Linda spent most of her career as a seamstress before becoming a real estate agent later in life.&nbsp; Perhaps her greatest enjoyment was caring for animals, as she nurtured many dogs to live long, happy lives, often to the surprise of the veterinarians. Linda and Bill have been residents of Oshkosh, Nebraska for the past 5 years where they moved to enjoy their retirement in the peaceful countryside. Linda loved her family, and her love will live on forever in their hearts. Roderick Edwards (1941-2021)

Lois&nbsp;Schipper, of North Platte, Nebraska, died November 6, 2021, at the age of 83. Lois was born to Bernhard and Dora Hellwig on February 12, 1938, on the family farm near Powell, Nebraska, where she grew up. Lois was baptized, confirmed and married at St. John Lutheran Church in Daykin. She attended a rural one room school, District #86, then moved to Fairbury to attend high school. While in high school, Lois enjoyed twirling her baton in the marching band. She graduated from Fairbury High School in 1955, then worked as a secretary for the Superintendent of Utilities for the City of Fairbury until she got married. On March 14, 1965, Lois was united in marriage to George Schipper at St. John's Lutheran Church. After moving several times for George's job, they moved to Grand Island in 1966 and Lois went to work in the office at Sperry New Holland Manufacturing. When she became a mother, Lois stayed home to raise their two daughters, Sheri and Lori. The family moved to North Platte in 1975 and Lois became a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She was an avid bowler and bowled on a ladies' morning bowling league for many years and loved polka music and going to polka dances, even though George wasn't the best dancer. After dropping her daughters off at school in her '63 Chevy Impala, Lois enjoyed getting together with her 'lady friends' for morning coffee and hopefully a donut or two. Lois was a great wife, mother and grandmother. She loved and is loved by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernhard and Dora Hellwig; sisters, Deloris Hellwig, Beverly Forsch and Myrtle Terpening; her infant brother; and brothers-in-law, Alvin Forsch and Lyle Terpening. Lois is survived by her husband of 56 years, George, of North Platte; their daughters, Sheri (Douglas) Kriete, of Hooper and Lori Schipper, of Lincoln; her very special grandsons, Garrett Kriete and Kolton Kriete, of Hooper; and other family. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021, in the Fairbury Cemetery (56924 PWF Road), with Pastor Ken Hart of Faith Lutheran Church officiating. She was an avid bowler and bowled on a ladies' morning bowling league for many years and loved polka music and going to polka dances, even though George wasn't the best dancer. After dropping her daughters off at school in her '63 Chevy Impala, Lois enjoyed getting together with her 'lady friends' for morning coffee and hopefully a donut or two. Lois was a great wife, mother and grandmother. She loved and is loved by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernhard and Dora Hellwig; sisters, Deloris Hellwig, Beverly Forsch and Myrtle Terpening; her infant brother; and brothers-in-law, Alvin Forsch and Lyle Terpening. Lois is survived by her husband of 56 years, George, of North Platte; their daughters, Sheri (Douglas) Kriete, of Hooper and Lori Schipper, of Lincoln; her very special grandsons, Garrett Kriete and Kolton Kriete, of Hooper; and other family. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021, in the Fairbury Cemetery (56924 PWF Road), with Pastor Ken Hart of Faith Lutheran Church officiating. Mark&nbsp;White peacefully passed away at home in Sutherland on November 5, 2021, at the age of 59. Mark was born to Darrel and Margaret White in North Platte on June 6, 1962. He grew up in Sutherland where he graduated from high school with the Class of 1981. After graduation, he continued farming the family farm, later partnering with his brother, Mitch. Mark farmed all his life and was a longtime grain cart driver and member of 4-H. He loved what he did! Mark enjoyed helping his brothers farm and ranch and helping his nieces and nephew with their 4-H activities. He was a member of the Sutherland Beefmakers and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mark had a heart of gold and never knew a stranger. He also had a great memory and knew everyone by name. Mark looked forward to visiting friends in South Carolina and having Sunday breakfast with his good friend, Larry. He loved grilling raw hamburgers and eating chocolate chip cookies. Mark loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was a great son who took great care of his parents and a wonderful brother and uncle who will be dearly missed. Mark White (1962-2021)

Delbert Dean Fullerton, 90, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died November 4, 2021 at Hilltop Estates.&nbsp; Delbert Dean Fullerton was born May 23, 1931, the 3rd of four boys, in Cody, NE to Ralph Earl and Anna Marie (Kleinemier) Fullerton.&nbsp; He spent his early years on a ranch in Bennett County, SD his father and uncle had homesteaded.&nbsp; As a child he developed a love of horses, dogs, cattle, hunting, and trapping.&nbsp; These things remained important to him all his life.&nbsp; His father died at a young age and his mom raised the boys by herself.&nbsp;&nbsp; Delbert attended school in Cody, NE. He took part in all school activities, his favorite being basketball.&nbsp; After graduating in 1948, he worked for neighbors, trapped mink and muskrats, and trapped for a local government permit holder in SD.&nbsp;&nbsp; On May 13, 1952 he was drafted into the United States Marine Corp.&nbsp; After boot camp, he was transferred to Headquarters 3rd Marine Division at Camp Pendleton, CA, trained as a truck driver for 155 Artillery Co. and Force Troop FMFPAC.&nbsp; He later trained as a postal clerk and was in charge of the Unit Post Office where he was promoted to Corporal and served until his discharge from active duty on May 12, 1954.&nbsp; Upon returning home he met his future wife, Barbara Scholtes, who was a school teacher.&nbsp; They were married Nov 10, 1956 and had two children: Rosanne Lynn on January 21, 1958 and Roger Dean on February 4, 1960. In 1961, Delbert went into the bee business as an added income.&nbsp; He had a reputation for having choice honey and sold locally and to Sioux Honey at Sioux City, Iowa where he was member of the Sioux Honey Association.&nbsp; The bee business was sold in 1979. He managed Cody Oil Co. until it sold and then was the manager of Stott’s Lumber Yard until he went to work at the Bank of Cody as a teller.&nbsp; He worked his way up to cashier then to Vice President and Director.&nbsp; He continued to work until 1984 when the bottom dropped out of land and cattle prices.&nbsp; The Bank of Cody was sold and Delbert worked for Guardian State Bank until he left to pursue his dream of ranching. Delbert already had some cattle, horses, and some machinery.&nbsp; He found a place to lease, bought more cattle and began to live his dream. In 1993, he started having health problems and in 1995, after having heart surgery and a stint, Barb and Delbert sold the cattle, had an auction, and moved back to the house in town where Delbert did day-work and ran pastures for friends and neighbors.&nbsp; Throughout Delbert’s life, he raised and broke his own horses and some for neighbors.&nbsp; He gave his last ones to his granddaughter, Kayla, who inherited his love for horses.&nbsp; Delbert was active in community affairs - he ran the Cody Theater for 4 ½ years to keep it open, was a charter member of the Cody Investment Club, was a member of the Cody American Legion Post 319 for 66 years, was a member of the Honor Guard, served on the cemetery board, was on Hunt’s Chapel boards and was on various other committees.&nbsp; In 2011, due to failing health, the move was made to Gothenburg to be closer to family.&nbsp;&nbsp; Delbert was a quiet man with a dry sense of humor and was known for his honesty and integrity. He was a loyal friend and a good neighbor and his love for his family was steadfast.&nbsp; Delbert leaves to mourn his wife of nearly 65 years, Barbara (Bobbi) Fullerton of Gothenburg, NE; daughter, Rosanne (Harlan) Tryon of Gothenburg, NE; grandchildren, Jessica (Dustin) Nelson of Lincoln, NE, Matt Tryon of Norfolk, VA, Lane (Natalie) Tryon of Omaha, NE, and Kayla (Kale) Burdick of O’Neill, NE; great grandsons, Jack and Alex Nelson, and Pierce and Hayes Burdick; brother, Dale Fullerton of Denver, CO; nieces, nephews, and friends. Leigh McNeal, 90, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died November 4, 2021 at his farm in rural Custer County.&nbsp; (Richard) Leigh McNeal was born June 5, 1931 in Gothenburg, NE to Clarence and Daphne Tirill McNeal. He passes away on November 4, 2021 at the age of 90 on his beloved Custer County ranch, while he was checking water.&nbsp; He attended District north two country school, where his children and his father also attended. He graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1948. In February of 1951, he joined the Navy. He served in the Miramar security office and later on the aircraft carrier, the U.S.S. Boxer.&nbsp; On June 8, 1952, he married Marilyn Stinehagen. To this union, two children were born. Leigh Ann and Kirk were the joys of his life. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and Husker fan. He also loved a good game of pinochle. He was active and held leadership rolls in the Church of God and in later years, the Church of Christ.&nbsp; Leigh was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Donna Stevens and her husband Bob, brother, Mearl McNeal and his wife Merle Ruth, brother-in-laws, Delmar Matz, Jim Stinehagen, and Herman Hinkle, sister-in-law Perk English and her husband Billy Bob English and nephew Kim Stevens. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marilyn. His daughter, Leigh Ann (Kent) Wilcher, son, Kirk (Lexi) McNeal, three granddaughters, Laura-Leigh (Randy) Norris, Lexie Wilcher, and Lauren McNeal, three great-grandchildren, Miles, Maxwell, and Mila Norris. He is also survived by one sister, Iris Matz, two sister-in-laws, Shirley Hinkle, and Chrystl Stinehagan, numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and neighbors. Florence Janette (Jan) Kauffman, 72, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died November 3, 2021 at her residence.&nbsp;&nbsp; She was born June 5, 1949 in Cordel, OK, daughter of J.R. and Eunice Elsie (Shipton) Auld. Jan grew up in Gothenburg, NE, where she&nbsp; graduated from high school (1967) and continued her education at Kearney State College (1970 - 1974), where she graduated with a teaching degree.&nbsp;&nbsp; Jan spent the majority of her professional life (1974 - 1995) teaching business at Brady Public Schools.&nbsp; She was loved by her students, many of whom considered her a friend throughout her life.&nbsp; Jan had a servant heart, and was always willing to lend a hand.&nbsp; She kept books for several small businesses and individuals within the community. In addition to teaching and bookkeeping, Jan always had a heart for volunteer work ~ specifically for causes that had touched her life in some way.&nbsp; She volunteered as a Sunday School teacher at the United Methodist Church and served as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts (Webelos).&nbsp; Later in life, Jan volunteered as Executive Director for the Nebraska Brain Injury Association where she was a gifted grant writer.&nbsp; For the past 10 years, she has dedicated many hours as a Spiritual Coach for Groundwire, leading people to Jesus.&nbsp; &nbsp; Jan was married to, and later divorced Ron Kauffman. They had two sons, Kelly and Brandon, who brought her great joy.&nbsp; &nbsp;Kelly and Brandon would go on to give her 7 grandsons who she absolutely adored.&nbsp; Noah Kauffman (21), Presley Kauffman (18), Keeton Kauffman (17), Carter Kauffman (14), Ethan Kauffman (11), Christian Kauffman (7), and Maverick Kauffman (4).&nbsp;&nbsp; Jan’s hobbies included fishing, cross stitch, reading, puzzles, photography, spending time with friends, family, her sons and grandsons, loving people and pointing others to Jesus.&nbsp; She was truly a light to all those who crossed her path. They had two sons, Kelly and Brandon, who brought her great joy.&nbsp; &nbsp;Kelly and Brandon would go on to give her 7 grandsons who she absolutely adored.&nbsp; Noah Kauffman (21), Presley Kauffman (18), Keeton Kauffman (17), Carter Kauffman (14), Ethan Kauffman (11), Christian Kauffman (7), and Maverick Kauffman (4).&nbsp;&nbsp; Jan’s hobbies included fishing, cross stitch, reading, puzzles, photography, spending time with friends, family, her sons and grandsons, loving people and pointing others to Jesus.&nbsp; She was truly a light to all those who crossed her path. Survivors include two sons, Brandon( Katie) Kauffman, Austin, TX, Kelly (Alisha) Kauffman, Austin, TX; brother, Bill Auld of Gothenburg, NE; sister, Jo Anne Haynes (Duane) Gorsuch; seven grandsons, Sister-in-law Sharon Auld, brother-in-law William Haynes. He was a&nbsp;member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), a number of vegan groups, and a senior bowling league. He never missed a&nbsp;Harano family reunion or class reunion. 	He understood the importance of sharing the story of his family’s Japanese American heritage and their imprisonment during the&nbsp;war. He participated in video projects, interviewed by high school students about his own internment experience. Beverly Elaine (Hatcher) Anderson, 88, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at her home. She was born October 24, 1933 to Corwin Glen and Esther Lucille (McNulty) Hatcher in Cozad, Nebraska. Beverly graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1950 and enjoyed getting together with classmates over the years. One of her first jobs was working at a small café near the high school called the Hutt Sut. She was united in marriage to Richard Anderson on June 10, 1951 at the Cozad First United Methodist Church and were blessed with three children, Creig, Jo and Richard. She worked as a proof-reader for the Lexington Clipper Herald and later at Farmers State Bank and Home Federal Savings and Loan in Lexington. Bev loved reading, especially about Princess Diana, Royalty and the First Ladies. She loved crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy, at which she was pretty darn good. Nana Bev’s door and kitchen were always open with good things to eat. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lexington for many years and served on several different committees. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard of fifty-one years; three brothers, Ronald, Corwin and Gary; and a great-grandson, Jackson Mossburgh. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Creig (Cayla) Anderson of Centralia, Missouri, Jo (Bob) Keim of Lexington and Richard (Kandy) Anderson of Alva, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Twyla (Kurt) Gengebach of Spring, Texas and her brother, Jim (Lynn) Hatcher of Johnson Lake. Sandra Kay Patterson, age 78, of St. Francis, KS passed away quietly on Monday morning, November 1, 2021 at the Cheyenne County Village in St. Francis.&nbsp; Sandy&nbsp;was born August 2, 1943 to parents Robert Maurice and Virginia Constance&nbsp;(Amon)&nbsp;Frasier in Wahoo, NE.&nbsp; Siblings Bill and Maryanne welcomed her home and Kenny joined the family later.&nbsp; The family moved to McCook, NE when Sandy&nbsp;was young.&nbsp; In her youth, Sandy&nbsp;enjoyed tap dancing and ballet, and she was a baton twirler.&nbsp;Sandy was confirmed and baptized at St. Albans Episcopal Church in McCook.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sandy&nbsp;left school at the age of sixteen to marry William Joseph Nitsch on July 23, 1960.&nbsp; They lived in McCook for a short time before moving to the family farm east of Hayes Center, NE. Sandy&nbsp;became a farm wife, teaching herself to sew&nbsp;and&nbsp;garden.&nbsp; She made&nbsp;most of her family’s clothes over the years.&nbsp; On May 6, 1961, a daughter, Debra Sue was welcomed into the home.&nbsp; Three years later, on November 5, 1964, their son Michael Carl completed the family.&nbsp; Sandy was the neighborhood hairdresser and did several of the neighbor ladies’ hair on a regular basis.&nbsp;&nbsp; In 1974, the family moved into Hayes Center where Sandy continued growing a large garden.&nbsp; She worked at Scott’s IGA and at the café/bar for several years.&nbsp;Sandy and Joe later divorced.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; On January 13, 1987, Sandy married Gerald L. “Jerry” Patterson.&nbsp; The couple lived in Hayes Center and&nbsp;Haigler, NE during their marriage, and spent many years traveling the country together in the semi.&nbsp;&nbsp;She beat lung cancer in 2010 after several rounds of chemo.&nbsp;&nbsp;After Jerry passed away, Sandy spent her time visiting with friends, doing many word searches,&nbsp;and&nbsp;watching&nbsp;oldies on tv.&nbsp; She suffered a stroke in September of 2017 which left her with difficulties walking and&nbsp;moved to St Francis KS to live with her daughter.&nbsp; She truly enjoyed spending time with family that came to visit, especially the great grandkids.&nbsp; Gigi happily played silly games like&nbsp;Pie&nbsp;Face with them several times.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Earlier this year a mass&nbsp;was found in her left lung and she stated she didn’t want to know if it was cancer or not because she wouldn’t do any more chemo.&nbsp; Mike spent a week with&nbsp;her in July and she was admitted to the Cheyenne County Village in early August due to failing health.&nbsp; She was placed under Hospice care in early October.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Patterson; and her older siblings, Bill&nbsp;(Barb) Frasier&nbsp;and Marianne&nbsp;Stephens.&nbsp; Those left to celebrate her life include her two children, Debra&nbsp;Gohl&nbsp;of St. Francis&nbsp;and Mike (Jan) Nitsch of Arapahoe, NE;&nbsp;step daughter, Diane (Allen)&nbsp;Kurth&nbsp;of Colby, KS;&nbsp;brother, Kenny&nbsp;Frasier of Kearney, NE; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of friends and her loving fur baby, Tinker.&nbsp;

Lawrence was born to William and Carolyn (Shaw) Gant on April 30, 1962, at Sutherland where he grew up. Lawrence graduated from Sutherland High School in 1980 then worked for the Power Plant at Sutherland and later for Hershey Flying Service. He hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad as a machinist apprentice then became a machinist and was still working for the railroad at the time of his death. On January 1, 2004, Lawrence married Stacy Wickware at Sutherland and they lived in North Platte. Lawrence raised chickens, collected Hot Wheels, and was handy. He liked fixing things, making things and was good at working on bikes and trailers. He also enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions where he found things to work on. Lawrence loved spending time with his granddaughter and was a great son, husband and father and just a good man who helped a lot of people. He will be missed. Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, Bill. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn, of Sutherland; his wife, Stacy, and daughters, Rebecca Daniel (Jamie Johnston) and Tiffany Daniel, all of North Platte; granddaughter, Brooklyn Johnston; sister, Carolyn Gant, of Gothenburg; his twin, William Gant, of Sutherland and brother, Lynn (Brenda) Gant, of McPherson, KS; nieces, Sierra Gant (Richard Yanez) and Ashley Gant; and other family. Lawrence Gant (1962-2021)

Lawrence W. Hall of Cozad passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Emerald Care Nursing Home at the age of 97. Lawrence was born April 1, 1924 in Cozad, Nebraska to John and Della (Pitts) Hall. He attended Cozad City Schools and lived his entire life in Cozad. On July 21, 1945, Lawrence married Beulah Maret. Their union was blessed with two children, Connie and Gary. Lawrence was a hard worker and was employed at Allied Mills and Continental Grain for over 40 years, until they shut down. He went on to work for McKeone Honey Farm for 9 years, and owned his own bee hives and sold honey. He then worked at Lexington and Cozad alfalfa mills until his retirement. Lawrence loved to garden, fish and hunt. He loved being outside and was never in one spot for too long. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Gary; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Survivors include his daughter, Connie (John) Willets of Cozad; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 21 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.&nbsp;

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Harvey Pierce officiating.&nbsp;

 </figure>Lawrence W. Hall of Cozad passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Emerald Care Nursing Home at the age of 97. Lawrence was born April 1, 1924 in Cozad, Nebraska to John and Della (Pitts) Hall. He attended Cozad City Schools and lived his entire life in Cozad. On July 21, 1945, Lawrence married Beulah Maret. Kimberly Ann (Foster) Weaver, age 49 of Ogallala, went to be with her Lord on November 2, 2021, at Ogallala Community Hospital.&nbsp; Kimberly was born on September 14, 1972 in Grand Island, Nebraska. She was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming and attended East High School.&nbsp; She is survived by her parents Rusty and Cheryl (Webster) Foster of Mesa, Arizona; brother Michael Foster, of Mesa; and by her daughter Shawna Toohey of San Angelo, Texas and son Marcus Dunne of&nbsp;Darbe, Montana. Kim was a beloved daughter and beloved younger sister of her older brother, Mike. May she rest in peace in the arms of her Lord. Cremation was chosen and a private family service will be held at a later date. Draucker Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Carroll “Joan” Frates, 88, passed away October 31, 2021 in Dalhart, Texas. Joan was born June 4, 1933 in Oshkosh, Nebraska to Ross Wayne Casey and Esther Swanson Casey. She grew up in Oshkosh and graduated as the class Valedictorian from Garden County High School in 1951. Growing up Joan loved animals and riding horses, especially her black stallion on Friday nights with the Garden County Riding Club. An excellent horsewoman, on horseback she accompanied the riders during the reenactment of the Pony Express. In high school her favorite job was an usher at the Oshkosh Movie Theatre, where she roasted peanuts, popped popcorn and watched the latest movie releases. After high school Joan attended the University of Nebraska In Lincoln. In 1952, she enrolled in the Electronic Radio-Television Institute in Omaha, Nebraska and received her diploma in Airline Communications. Upon completion of her training, she moved to Kansas City and was employed with TWA Airlines. On June 20, 1954 Joan married Wayne Frates in Oshkosh. The young couple started their lives together on a farm in Brule, Nebraska. She was a strong-willed partner to Wayne, active in the farm and ranch work and decisions. They raised two sons, Tim and Kelly. Together as a family, they worked their farm and ranch. After Wayne’s premature passing, Joan was heroic, tenacious, indomitable, and resolute with the management of the farm and ranch. Her unyielding strength and determination were evident in everything she did. Joan was a member of the UCC Congregational Church of Brule, and took her Bible studies seriously. She was an active member of many organizations including Card Club, Garden Club, Extension Club, and the Nebraska Cattle Women’s Association. Joan loved sports both as a participant and as a spectator. An avid bowler, she bowled in leagues and proudly belonged to the 250 Club. Joan belonged to the Ogallala Country Club and relished a good game of golf. She loved to attend all ball games and sporting events. Joan was a loyal fan of the Brule Huskies and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Go Big Red. Survivors include her son, Kelly Frates and wife Keli An, of Dalhart TX; grandchildren Kaci Frates of Nashville, TN and Kip Frates of Brule, NE; daughter-in-law Jackie Frates Raile and husband Butch of Hamilton, MT; grandsons: Aaron (Liz) McBride and family of Grand Rapids, MI and Shane (Hannah) McBride of Portland OR; sister-in-saw Virginia Frates of Paxton, and niece Beverly Frates McMahon and family of Paxton NE;&nbsp; nieces Linda Watson and family, Carol Bratt and family; nephews Stan Spencer and family, Randy Spencer and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Frates, son Timothy Frates, sister Arlene Bratt, and parents, Ross and Esther Casey. &nbsp; Lori Mae (Fenwick) Brady, 57, of Ogallala, Ne., passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Ogallala Community Hospital in Ogallala, Ne. Lori was born on November 9, 1963, to Gerald Jerome Fenwick and Evelyn Joan (Mercer) Fenwick in Ogallala, Ne. Lori graduated from Ogallala High School. She met Patrick "Pat" Lynn Brady of Imperial, Ne., in 1980. On November 24, 1981, Lori and Pat were married in Holyoke, Co. They were blessed with three children, Mindy, Jeff, and Adam before Pat passed away in 1985. Family was everything to Lori. As a devoted Nana, she enjoyed attending her grandchildren's games, concerts, recitals, and events. Her many talents and hobbies included gardening, decorating, sending cards and letters, cruising around town, and shopping for her grandchildren. She never missed sending a birthday or holiday card and always put her family's needs above her own. She was also a loyal employee to American Shizuki Corporation for 29 years.
